... I had to zoom over here to let you know. I couldn't even finish the comic because I was so excited!
First, Gusty appeared using her magic with Princess Celestia.
Now, in a flashback scene, we've seen baby Glory, Surprise, Firefly, bow Tie, Seashell and Bubbles! I'm so giddy at seeing G1s in the FiM comic! X3

I was just coming to post this as well!
People should also keep an eye out for Harry Potter characters, Sailor Moon characters, and Donald Duck's three nephews! This was a very fun issue :)

Yay more G1 ponies in the comics! This isn't the first time they've done this, and I love love love it when they throw in some past gens.
Same with the other pop culture references, the comics are so great! :biggrin:

I saw this and loved it!
On a related note, the three nephews who also appear in this issue have additional (somewhat more complicated) references in their cutie marks.

How awesome! And look, that unicorn behind Gusty could possibly be Powder! I haven't been keeping up with the comics but I will have to purchase this one. Now, if only Hasbro will take note and make G4 toys of those characters.

I read it yesterday and it defiantly put a smile on my face to see them again. I would LOVE to to see G1's come out as G4 Brushables.

Me too! <3 I would go wild for G1s redone as G4s. Imagine if they redid the backcards with updated artwork! That would be really cute.

Although I normally pick mine up in the other Forbidden Planet in the city centre [as my local FP does not carry them online]. You will have one of the Forbidden Planet retailers in the closest big city to you but they do not always carry all of the issues its best to call ahead and check first or simply order them online :)

Wow, Harry Potter is strong with this one. Snape and Trelawney are totally hanging out together in a few panels. :P
I caught on to most of the G1 goodies the first time around; I'll have to read it again to catch all the other fun references!

I just get them at my local comic shop, if you have any of those nearby. Bookstores that carry comics might have them?

I don't think my Barnes and Noble has them. Other locations might, but pretty sure mine mostly has superhero comics. Hastings used to have them since they had their own special covers for a while, but since they've been shutting stores down like crazy, I don't really know. And as far as I know, Hot Topic only carries the main series editions and not the micro series. Local comic stores are probably your best bet. :)

I adored the Harry Potter and Sailor Moon references, and I knew I couldn't be the only one to get Huey, Dewey and Louie! But what made me laugh myself stupid was Gordon Ramsay.

I have never seen any MLP comics at my comic store... I have found Adventure Time comics, but no MLP... I feel strongly compelled to go to mall to check again. I love comics.

Ok great. I am heading up to visit my parents this week and there is a pretty nice comic store there. Since this just came out it is likely they will have it. I have gotten her some Duck Tales, Darkwing Duck and what not there so they should have the pony ones.

My local Hastings has them but you have to ask- they never put them on the shelf but always have a bunch stashed under the counter, no idea why :/

Each issue has multiple covers- there are normal A and B choices and a third relater incentive (for places that order a bunch) and some different shops get there own exclusive covers as well- the comic inside is the same though. So just pick the one you like :)

Yay I picked it up yesterday at the comic store. They had lots of pony comics in the "New this Week" section so they must be popular. I flipped through a little and just love all the references. Can't wait to give it to my sister.

Another thing I didn't want to get into collecting but I LOVE these artist/writers for including so many nods to other gens! And Bonnie!!!!!

I can only find low-res scans out there.

It was exclusive to the SDCC release of the comic. However the story is also coming out in the upcoming Equestria Girls annual so people should be able to read it there.

You can purchase them on line or in store at the majority of comic book. They are such popular sellers, it is not surprisingly so many stores are carrying them.
