Title: Unbelievably creepy Equestria Girls picture I stumbled upon.

I'm more embarrassed than creeped out, and I'm someone who liked the show with the actual ponies, that was also linked on this page.

I think it's because (while G3 did it better) the pony shows can be somewhat excused as they can't be expected to do everything right. The only thing I found wrong with the pony costumes was that the hind legs weren't controlled at all, but the rest of the show, and the ponies themselves were cute, but this version of Equestria Girls... I don't know what they were thinking.

Why "dress up as humans"? That's what they are. Why where masks? They could have easily put face paint on, and it would have looked more "natural", it just doesn't work for me.

Not creepy, just cringey.

I love the fursuits of the ponies though- I actually tried to make one and gave up after some time. I have the bottom half done of Rarity, but I don't think I'll ever get a head correct. That 4 legged AJ needs a neck something serious!

lol True, the ponies don't typically walk on their hind legs, but their hind legs aren't bonelessly flapping in the breeze either. :lol: They must have stiffened the hind legs and put a counterweight in the rear ends of the newer suits...the flapping effect is much less noticable now.

A true quadsuit is even harder to do well. A good one is just spectacular (seriously, look up Beastcub's Arcanine, or Monoyasha's Toothless), but not really practical. They're extremely difficult to wear, and I couldn't imagine trying to do a high-energy performance in one. That being said, challenge accepted! :cool: I'm going to attempt one sooner or later.

Back to the original topic, kigurumi is simple to build by comparison and it baffles me how it could go so horribly wrong.

Honestly, a little paint and wigs would have gone much further.
