Okay, I know we have some Remco and Totsy collectors around the forums. I would probably have some myself if I could find room for anything else, haha - but, I just got a lot of ponies with a couple Remco ponies and a couple Totsy ponies, and while I'm cleaning them up and looking for a new herd for them... I was hoping to see collections of people's Remco or Totsy ponies!!
I do collect Remco Sea Ponies, and can't find my picture of my pink one, but do have both the yellow one and the pink one...

Sunshine- that seahorse is awesome! What is he standing on? Could they stand on a baby seapony float?
Okay, I probably won't get around to uploading a picture until after the holiday next week but I'll do it. It'll have most of my totsy's in the picture but not all as I don't feel like taking another picture with the few more I've added.
I've been avoiding posting pictures of my Totsy army for a long time now. I've been afraid of what others would say about having so many. I know several people have wanted me to show them my army before so I guess I should go ahead.
I do have a long term goal of rerooting some of my herd as some of them have barely any hair and I have some cool ideas on giving them an alternative reroot. Normally I'd leave them alone as is because some of them look great with mohawks and such but when it looks like they barely have a wisp of hair left it's defininately time to reroot to bring them back to life.
I did finally finish rerooting my bald yellow spotted one a few months ago. I used a brighter orange but that's okay I knew it was when I did it because I have a couple original haired ones already. I think it looks pretty nice!
I might be selling a few Remco ponies if anybody is interested.

I have quadruplet Totsys and one peach one, plus several Remcos.
I may be selling most of my collection because I'm in a wheelchair from being hit by a drunk driver in 2008 & my 21 year old who just started working 8 months ago got laid off today, but the Remcos are safe,lol, as they're normally priced so low

Gosh, the totsy's grow on me, haha I've always like the "plain" sweet look of the Remcos, but hte Totsy's look like they're keeping a secret, haha :biggrin: The ones I got in the mail today are a yellow and a purple. Both look "okay" - they need some hair love. I've never thought of alternately rehairing a Totsy... it might be kinda fun!
As far as I know, there are only 2 Remco Sea ponies - pink and yellow (or purple and yellow I guess?) - and right now that one I had was standing on a G3 "flower crown" lol - I hadn't thought about trying to stand them on a baby sea pony float, but they're quite a bit thicker and heavier than baby sea ponies. It might be able to balance on one, but definitely couldn't fit in one :)\
Oh and Fairy, I think you showed me your Totsy collection before, I do hope you share it. I think it's amazing! :biggrin:

I love Totsies! I love how they look like they were telling naughty secrets! My husband calls them my Troll-faces (in reference to the troll-face memes). I have two Totsies, but one's currently living at my parents' house (for sun fading on their patio). The other one needs some serious TLC, but I bought them to be restore/alternate rehair projects.
I can post them, but later but they both look very sad...
And I think I have a real Remco... she's got crazy hair...

I love the Totsies! I had two of them in my childhood herd. I still have the yellow one, "Banana Bows" But somewhere along the way I lost "Purple Grapes" (I was really original at naming them wasn't I LOL :lol:)
I miss the purple one and her doll the most. :( I remember I desperately wanted Megan and Sundance for Christmas one year, but I knew my parents couldn't afford her... Then that Christmas morning I got the Purple Totsies with her purple haired doll friend, well they weren't real MLPs, They where even more special to me because, knowing how much I wanted Megan and Sundance, my parent got me a toy that was as close to Megan and Sundance as they could afford to get me. :)
Which is why I love fakies so much! they make sure that every child, regardless of income, can have their pony dreams come true. :biggrin:

I've never seen those Remco sea ponies before. They are actually quite cute. I like their smilie faces :)

They are my grail fakies, haha besides RnS of course, lol... but, there were also a couple other animals produced in the line with these sea ponies, Remco Friends or Remco Pals maybe??

I have no idea on the value of the ponies, but the sea ponies can fetch the same prices are Princess RnS can... like $15-20+

Maybe the sea horses would fit the adult mlp seahorse shells? You could also make them some pretty creative stands, that would look really cool!

I know they definitely don't like the adult shells, their tails curl like the baby sea ponies - backwards, not forwards like the adults, and they are SUPER WIDE at the base. Remco ponies tend to weigh like nothing - these guys are super chunky and heavy... I have mine sitting in tea-candle holders, haha :biggrin:

I think I have over 70 Totsy Ponies now. Some of them aren't pictured. The angel with the purple Totsy ponies was a gift to protect the purple Totsy as it was being sent to me so now she watches over all of them. Her name is Moogan. lol I have one of each type of Totsy but the purple rainbow and the So Soft pink one (and also none of the earth ones).

The Remco sea horses look so happy. I really like their face and ears. I don't care for the ribbing texture down the chest/body but I guess what's another part of what makes them different and special. :)

.... here's my Remco and one of my Totsies! I have another Totsy, a purple unicorn, being sunfaded at my parents' home, so I only see her once a week and always forget to take pictures....
Both my Totsies need love. They both need some touch-up painting and I'm planning on rehairing them. I already have purple Totsy's hair. I'll be doing a dark tone of their body color with silver streaks in it. I can't wait for purple Totsy to be done fading, so I can start on her!

I love these types of fakies! Remco ponies are actually my favorite types of fakies. They are just so round and cute!

Sadly, though Remco ponies and Totsy ponies are some of my favorites, this is just about it. I have a sad, tailless Remco and then the pink one matching the cat, and that's about it. I'd love to change that someday though.

Bahaha well, I mean they're not really going anywhere... I have some yellow yarn, perhaps I'll try to rehair the yellow Totsy... it might be fun making her a puff!
