Glad I already traded for a Minty. I own every other single pony in that set. I would have hated to have to buy a whole set for the one pony.
Definitly going to consider getting the other two though.

I did see your Minty for sale :) Unfortunately it will probably end up being about the same price after shipping as that playset so I'll probably end up getting the set anyway and just try to trade/sell off the extras.

Is this dewdrop dazzle and NMM differebt from other releases? I cant tell if some of these are rereleases of the same variant. I notice the open eye fluttershy and the gold white celestia, but I got those two already ! Same with that Minty, and rainbow dash.

My guess would be that they are variants in that pack... I've noticed that Hasbro's been getting pretty sneaky with throwing in different combinations between nothing strange/the side the symbol displays on/type of tinsel/glitter/shape of the white dot in the eye/etc and I'm assuming it's to entice collectors like me that feel that they must own *every* issued variant that comes along. On one hand, it's frustrating, but on the other hand it makes it so that I don't feel as guilty for buying an entire set for "just one pony." I guess if worse comes to worse, and the others are duplicates, they can just be baited.

I hope this set is also set for release in Europe! Because they are re-releasing Nightmare Moon for this set and I guess this is were the Gold-hooved Celestia ended up to. Sadly the only one I don't have is Minty so I rather buy her off ebay.

It looks like there are several differently languages on the box. Doesn't that usually mean we'll see it over here? Come on, Hasbro, you've just released like 10 US exclusives in a row so this one better not be =P
I can finally get Minty and Fluttershy, oh and Dewdrop Dazzle too :D The duplicate NMM doesn't bother me as she'll be fairly easy to sell here. With all those accessories and Spike too I'm a tad concerned how much this set might cost though >.<

Funko Vinyl for the win! We are getting all kinds of characters! Not just mane 6, who aren't even out yet. Also forgot to mention no wings on Fluttershy on hasbros package!

Minty! Yay! That is a big playset though...and I already have all the others :wonder: I might consider buying Minty loose. I do kinda want Celestia with the painted hooves though so I'll probably wait as I really do preferto buy stuff in stores. Fluttershy and Rainbow Dash have the newer eye style which I don't have yet but I prefer the older styles really. I had a suspicion Dewdrop Dazzle might be getting a re-release because she's been on taobao it seems a lot recently.
And some Walmart exclusives huh! I like the gradient on their legs but nothing else really makes me feel like I need them. I don't really want to re-buy the characters....

I am so glad Minty will soon be here! But I already have a taobao one so I think I will not be getting the playset. I wish she was an individual release for the holidays with holiday accessories.

I am not spending $30-$50 just for Minty, I'm sorry. If they had one or two other new characters, like in the other fan sets, I could be persuaded. But no, I'm not going to buy a giant set just for one pony. I'll hunt around ebay and buy a single of her.

The box might be a North American release. It looks like there are only 3 languages (which I suspect are French and Spanish besides the English). European releases tend to have a crapton of other languages on them.

I noticed that too, but I just went and looked back at the pictures on Sunset Shimmer with the flames and they are on the opposite side than the display side in that pic. I wonder if they decided against the flames or if she has them but they are facing the back?

Anyway, I'll still hold out hope that Minty will have her own individual release sometime soon. They probably just want to release her in an expensive set first so people will buy the big set instead of the $6 individual toy.

Lol, Celestia makes several appearances in the show at night time and she always has hair. That clipart looks like the art they used for her on her talking, light-up toy. It's pretty old and I guess it's incomplete, too! Talk about lazy...
I already own every pony from this set except for Minty. I'm getting a little depressed by how new brushables are being released nowadays. They are so few and far between, and when one does get released, she's almost always in huge, expensive sets that have 3+ repeat ponies in them. :(

I haven't bought a Sunset Shimmer yet and I loved the G3s with gradient colored legs so I'm pretty excited to get this version of her.
And since I haven't been collecting G4 much I'll be one of the few to actually benefit from that multi-pack. RD and Rarity would probably go to my sister as bait.

LOVE Sunset Shimmer and Twilight! I love the eye shadow :) I don't really want the whole favorites set just for Minty *sigh* I wouldn't mind having an extra Dewdrop Dazzle since she's my favorite G4, but I really don't want to buy the whole set just for one pony :( I will probably be looking to ebay for a cheap Minty.

I actually don't have any of these ponies yet (minus the main 6 re-releases) so as long as the set is reasonably priced ill be buying it!
That aside, even i think it's pretty bad how common re-releases are becoming though... Not sure how i feel about the favorites set exclusive NMM being reissued...

Why couldn't they have put blossomforth, cupcake or some other random ponies in there? Some NEW ones wouldn't hurt lol... I'm going to have any army of random doubles of the mane 6.. oy

In a way it would kind of make sense if they put her in a set with Minty, even though it's the "wrong" Pinkie (you need to be a G3 fan to get that, I guess).

On a side note- I do like the through the mirror line that walmart is getting.. I hope we see more of those. This would be a GREAT chance to put out more ponies from the movie. Flash Sentry or other ponies from Canterlot High perhaps in pony form? :lookround: Or maybe even make some exclusive "Through the mirror" line equestria dolls. Some of those cool background characters perhaps? I know, I'm dreaming. We'll probably just get more rereleases of the mane 6. Surprise us though Hasbro! ;)

Edit--it seems Spike's getting a lot of attention with these. I hope they make another one like the cute standing up one, but it's still Spike!

I'd also like to point out that this is our first white Celestia where her shoes are painted, most of the other Celestia variations have the shoes just molded in.

And now that they made not only a doll line for Equestria Girls, but a pony line to too? And when did Sunset Shimmer ever wear a leather cloak/biker jacket thing?? Pssh, but it is a really cool perspective with the through the mirror.

I am so not happy about this. :mad: Minty is my favorite G3 and I've been waiting forever for a G4 version of her. I can't afford her on eBay, so I've been patiently waiting for a retail release, only to find out they're releasing her in a pack that will likely cost MORE than the Mintys that I can't afford on eBay. :cry: I think I probably wouldn't be quite as upset if the set came with other new ponies. I mean, look at all the creative blind bag characters that haven't been released as normal brushables. Can you imaging how popular a Tealove brushable would be? But as it is, I have all of those ponies that come with Minty, except for Nightmare Moon, but I don't want her. It's bad enough that I have to buy that expensive TRU favorites set just to get Shining Armor, Diamond Tiara and Bubblebutt. They should have just made Minty the holiday pony this year. They could have packaged her with a little Santa hat or some cute socks to make her more special and she would have flown off the shelves.

but they could still do that minty holiday thing, knowing hasbro they will wait till everybody has bought that set for the minty and what ever other pony they are after then re-release minty again with either another set or as a single.
it would be so typical of them and they seem to do that a lot going by what i have seen :)

Does it help to think of it as a $40 Minty figure, that's non-eBay / "guaranteed purchase"? (ie no risk that you won't get it) And then give the remainder pony's to charity or neighbors?

I get that it's frustrating that the set will likely be expensive, but let's look at the positive. :) First, MINTY IS COMING. Second, HASBRO ACTUALLY LISTENED TO US. To US. With that big "WITH MINTY" right on the front of the box. Third, even if you can't afford the playset right away, you will be able to afford it eventually; it's not like Minty will evaporate after the set is out of stores. Just like you can save up money to buy rare-ish G1 or G2 ponies, you can save up the money to get Minty (if she is worth it to you).
I would rather have a mass-produced Minty that some of the community can afford than no mass-produced Minty at all. Hasbro obviously had decided not to sell her as a single for whatever reason--maybe their prejudice against the color green.

I actually have the new dewdrop dazzle.. She is a little darker then the original one.. that's the only difference. I know some has asked. Shes really pretty :D

Does anyone know the exact price of this set? Was it mentioned? I don't have a Nightmare Moon yet, and this set makes it all worth it for me including the Minty. I'm not fond of having more clones of the mane 6, but hey. Who said they can't be used as customs right? As said before, I also like how this Celestia is unique, in the sense that it's the first white Celestia where her shoes are actually painted.

I'm really excited for that Sunset Shimmer and Alicorn Twilight, especially since I don't have either of them yet. Also super happy for the hot air balloon set since I regret not buying the hot air balloon previously, it's super cute! I'm also very happy to see Minty getting an official release but I already have her and every other pony in the set so I will probably pass on it. I'll wait and see if there are any other differences with the other ponies to make it worth getting, I can always customize the duplicates.

I also wonder why they do that... I mean, Im a mother of a 9yo girl. She loves ponies and she would LOVE to have that Minty, but... honestly, if this set ever hits the shelves in Germany, it will cost a small fortune (Ponies are much more expensive in Europe compared to the US) and will I buy it for her? Certainly not, Id rather get her other toys for that lot of money, because she already has all other ponies from that set, plus the other doubles she was "forced" to get because they were included in other sets (three Pinkies, two RDs and so on...). And I guess thats what many other moms will think about it too. These big sets are so expensive, why buy doubles of toys a kid already has. Its just... ah well, theres no sense in ranting, theyll do it again and again. The only thing to prevent them (maybe) from giving just those big sets is not to buy them. So I wont buy. Even if I want that Minty myself.
Sure, if those ponies had special features, like for example the new FS Rarity we saw on TaoBao, Id buy maybe, but... those are just the same ponies again. :(
Try to imagine what would have happened if they included other brushables instead of RD, pinkie and such! Imagine Spitfire! Soarin! Random others that we already know as BB ponies! OH MY!!! I would have given my last for it... *sigh*

The only thing that bugs me is there is nothing different about any of the 3 Mane 6. They could have added glitter or something to make it worth it. As it is I will probably be waiting until it goes on sale like I did with the MH 5 pack since I only want 4 ponies out of the pack. $20-$25 seems like a fair price for just 4.

Isn't that the whole point of this line? Releasing the ponies in their EG outfit? Also, pony Sunset Shimmer = human Sunset Shimmer. We hardly even see her as a pony.

I'm actually really excited for this set, even if a lot of it is repeats. I don't have a white Celestia since she kept getting packaged with other ponies, and I really didn't care to buy a Favorites Collection just for NMM. Plus I have been entirely unsuccessful snagging Minty B from eBay for a reasonable price. Fluttershy, Rarity, and Dashie are pretty good to use for customs, so I'll probably just toss them in my custom pony bin. :lol:

I'm crossing my fingers it will be cheaper here, but I'm going by a trend. Canadian prices are usually higher than US prices so here's hoping! I too hope it isn't an exclusive as I don't have a membership there either. Though I wouldn't be surprised if Hasbro pulled something like this.

What about the box I think it looks awful so much laziness from the vector art! Overused vectors for most characters, Celestia missing most of her mane and all of her tail, Minty in Applejacks body, and Dewrop Dazzle in Rarities body, a ten year old could pick better images.

The same thing happened with the favorite friends or whatever it was with Nightmare Moon. I just wanted Nightmare Moon but wasn't going to pay that much for the other ponies I didn't want.

Yeah... sigh. Although $30 is way better price than I was expecting (maybe Hasbro realizes they need to drop the price if every pony except one is a re-issue?), that still means that even if I sell the other ponies in the set for $2 each (and even then I think I'm going to have a hard time finding a buyer for another RD and Rarity) Minty would still cost me $18. For one pony that's a bit much.
I'm starting to wonder if all new character brushables are going to be in sets from now on. :\
Look what we have coming out recently with new charas: this big set, the TRU fan favorites set, the CMC and friends set. What do we have coming out as singles? All Mane 6 and Sunset Shimmer, even the Through the Looking Glass singles.

This reminds me of the Shine Bright Luna. The only way to get that Shine Bright Luna is if you feel like dropping $40 on the castle that comes with her. To this day it frustrates me. The Minty set is pretty much that set all over again. :|

Do you have an item number or something from your receipt? I looked today at my Costco (Western Canada) and they'd redone their whole toy aisle, but no ponies and no spot for them, boo! The employee I talked to had no clue, but if I had an item number, I could keep calling XD

I will buy this ($30 or less would be awesome) but I also wish they were singles. I think Hasbro should put a max of 1 of the mane 6 in any collection they release. I am super glad they did release Minty! Yay for non-mane 6 brushables! I also may add this tinselly version of NMMoon to my Luna/NMM army. I may replace my other Celestia with this one an customize the first.

I actually never see the toys on their website, even when in stock. Noticed last time I was there they had a bunch of Lalas and other various high-selling toys in stock though, so I'm guessing that the stores are stocking up for Christmas already.

Well, that's good to know. I hope we have some US-based Costco members willing to check out local stores. I don't see an exclusive sticker (or am I just missing it??) so there's hope it'll have a wider release. But it's still nice to have updates on when it does arrive, wherever that might be!

Sam's Club had some LaLas out too - I wonder if they're different exclusives for each warehouse...Just cause something shows up at one store first, doesn't make it an exclusive.

Boo, I don't have a Costco membership, and I can't justify getting one just for this one set (not to mention the 1hr drive it would take to get out to the nearest one that probably wouldn't even have it yet).
If it does end up being an exclusive maybe someone who can get to a Costco easier than I (and people like me) would be willing to middleman some out.

Found at Costco in Winston-Salem, NC by my mom. I told her to look out for the set since I don't make it to the Costco near me that often, and she called me yesterday to let me know she found it. She doesn't get my pony collecting, but she does humor me :)

Though the Celestia seems tempting to upgrade my other Celestia from.

Sometimes if you find an auction on ebay, you can snag her for cheap. I got mine for $12 about a month before the Midnight at Canterlot box set photos were leaked on Taobao and we weren't sure if she was going to be a single or what. I got her because it was on an auction that no one seemed to be paying attention to.

lucky , i have been watching the auctions from china on ebay and they all go past 20 dllrs
so i caved in and bought one here for 20 last week ,but i want the set anyway :)
