I am working something out and I need your help :) *offers cookies* :cookie:
If you have Birthday Pony - the 10th Anniversary one - could you tell me what colour of tinsel she has in her mane?
Its possible to tick all 4 boxes just in case people have multiple ones with different options!

Edit: A quick note the "blue" mentioned here is the same blue as that pictured below. The "aqua" is essentially a much lighter blue.

My birthday pony has dark blue tinsel. This photo is taken from the wrong side, but you can see the colour near the roots :)

I went with aqua, but looking at it closely it looks more like a mid-to-dark blue rather than aqua?
Are there different tinsel colour versions then? The only different version of her that I was aware of was one with yellow in her symbols. I didn't know the tinsel colour varied :blink:

Mine has dark blue tinsel as well. not as dark as say Sky Rocket, but definitely 'blue' as opposed to 'aqua'.

I shall try and get a picture of the blue/pink and light blue [aqua] version for you. However, weirdly I seem to be missing the most common one the dark blue tinsel version! I guess I shall be on the hunt here and ebay for her!

Ribbon? I thought we were only talking about tinsel in the mane? My pony also has a different coloured ribbons, but only blue tinsel.

The silver could be some color stripping to the tinsel?

so i just checked my bithday pony. she has bright blue tinsel and silver and pink as well.

I took a look at my two childhood ones and my MIB, they all look dark blue to me. :)

UPDAted :) she had 3 ribbons, blue was cut off :( when I look closer to tinsel it seems to be like you said Eldarwen :)

i just remembered that I had a dream last night where I realised that my Birtdhay pony actually has pink tinsel as well as blue.

Ok so turns out tinsel is NOT easy to get a picture of :P Apologies for the fuzziness and lack of pretty pictureness - I was going for info rather than beauty.
Can someone with just the dark blue version check something? Does the tinsel match Princess Sparklesn or is it darker?
Ok so first. Having compared the pink tinsel in Birthday Pony to Princess Royal Blues pink tinsel, the tinsel on Birthday pony is actually much more purple tinged than an out right pink. I think the colour of her hair was giving it a pinker sheen that it actually has
Apologies for her crazy looking hair - I was trying to separate some of the tinsel out and she was not cooperating.
Top pic is the blue/pink tinsel.
Bottom picture is the blue/pink version beside my lighter blue tinsel version and then on top of them is Princess Sparkle in order to show the ligher blue version as I am calling it is a match for her tinsel.

That is so cool that we have a variation here :) As for the aqua tinsel, is there any chance that she is faded? Or is it the real deal?

I considered the faded angle as well but the tinsel is really a different shade altogether - more aqua-ish than a light blue does that make sense? And tinsel does not act in quite the same way as paint or pigment. However I will admit it is still a possibility that it is some kind of fading. Only the fact it is identical in colour to Princess Sparkle makes me sway back to being confident its different.
I ll explain my theory and why I thought there was 3 types. There are of course 3 different gifts which come with Birthday Pony. One very common, one very hard to find and one just about impossible to track down. So my speculation is that the different colours of tinsel came with different surprise gifts - as again there looks to be a common colour, a rarer colour and then a very rare colour.
And yes people this is what I do in my spare time...random pony speculation :P

After spending my afternoon being a bit silly at work pretending to have an English accent... and driving my Irish co-worker nuts, I need some Scotland in my life (scottish-blooded hubby doesn't really count) so I'm just going to have to go visit some pretty scottish ponies! So there! Hathor, make up the couch, lol, and have a towel ready, I might have to swim...

LOL what a holiday! I would get a break from my neurotic pooches and our dozens of crazy birds, not to mention the constant "Pat MEEEE!" of two of our cats!
Not to mention hubby and
"Honeeeyyyy... can you please move the ponies from the bathroom, we have people coming over?!"
"But they have conditioner in, darling, I can't move them!!"
