Title: If you *had* to get a My Little Pony tattoo . . .
Post by: ValeofSpring on July 27, 2013, 02:18:29 PM: If you *had* to get a My Little Pony tattoo (as in an MLP-obsessed dictator has taken over the world), what would you get and . . . where?

I love the early ponies, so I'd probably get one of Cotton Candy (my favorite pony) with this outline:

I think I'd just have them on my upper arm (one on each arm). I'm not a tattoo person, but again, I'm being forced by an evil dictator!

What would you choose?

I think I'd go with Gusty, she's one of my all time faves, probably done in a more realistic style, like in this pic: http://images.elfwood.com/fanq/f/i/firefrie2/famgusty.jpg, but in a rearing pose. As for placement I'd go with the shoulder blade.

Post by: MikeysGrrrl on July 27, 2013, 02:28:06 PM: Well since I'm a tattoo artist and I do my own body work, I would probably go with baby glory or her cutie mark on my left foot and i would consider possibly doing a G3 exclusive on my right calf (since I still have lot's of space left on that leg as opposed to my left lol).

Actually, it is something I was thinking about getting for real, just have to think a bit longer on it, gather the money, and shop around at the local tattoo parlors.

But as cool as big tattoos are, I'll probably never get one. The most I would ever get are small, easy-to-cover-up stars or lightning bolts.

I am considering a tattoo of my own horse (he is 25, he isnt going to be with me forever :( ) but I did *almost* get a tattoo of a pegasus jumping over a rainbow when I was 18. However my daft boyfriend at the time fainted when he was having his tattoo (we went together and he was first) and he hit his head on a desk when he fainted so we had to give him attention..... and I never got my tattoo!

I think now I would like Starshine, but jumping over stars rather than a rainbow. Something like that. It would be small and on my shoulder. I sometimes wear smart sleeveless fitted dresses for work and I would not be comfortable with tattoos showing as I work in a professional capacity.

Or maybe Dream Castle and it inhabitants all over my back? LOL or is that giong too far ;)

Ooh. Or that heart symbol with "MLP" inside of it that's around the '07 Comic Con pony's neck.

My personal rules for tattoo placement are "nowhere that changes shape when I gain or lose weight, nowhere I can't see without a mirror, and always on the left side unless I'm doing something symmetrical," which pretty much limits me to one forearm and one ankle. And that ankle is spoken for.

Excuse it, it's not the best in the world, you can imagine the sort of place I had it done when they allowed a 14 year old in! (My others are very professionally done, for the record :P )

You have to live with it the rest of your life. I know that you can have it removed. But its very costly and I do not think it will totally go away.

I have seen some very nice looking ones before. I do like the ideas that you are all coming up with :)

but I think I'd get Tropical breeze on my shoulder. That way I could represent ponies, and my lady all in one tattoo. Me and my girlfriend bonded when we first met over a silly conversation about flamingos, so they are everywhere in our house.

I already have 3 MLP tattoos one little one on each foot- G3 snowflake + sparkleworks and I have one really big one in progress on my arm (half sleeve) it’s pretty much a cover up in progress and is a stylized princess Luna :)
Oh yeah! I also have 2 difference shooting star tattoos (not really MLP but close lol)

I think if I HAD to get another one I would go with G1 baby glory and baby moondancer together maybe on my ankle, or maybe Celestia on the inside of my upper arm (opposite side of Luna) or or….to many ideas I love pony tattoos… and even guys who don’t like ponies love my Luna and she is still just outline lol (half pony/half dragon)

but if it was pony tattoo, death, or eternal slavery... might consider a g4 baby boy bloosom, my own oc version i renamed "anthos". but it depends on what i'd have to do in slavery. XD
