Falcore finally took a few bites tonight and drank something :) For the first time in his life we had to give him a pill to make him WANT to eat! He's lost so much weight and he's like a different dog now, both in looks and personality. He's just feeling completely miserable.
And Loch is totally right when she says they're my babies and I love them more than life itself and would do anything for them :lovey:
I'm totally drooling over that Cascade!!

Im so glad to hear he's feeling better! Animals are the most imporant thing to me so I had to do something. I didnt have money to help by much, but.. I really hope he's going to be okay!

Falcore is doing better today! He ate more, drank more, and even skipped around a bit outside :D It shouldn't be too long before his infections have cleared up and then we can concentrate on getting his diabetes in order :)

I just got back from the vet and they gave him more fluids and a shot for vomiting. She said he looks a lot better than when I first brought him in and she thinks he overexerted himself yesterday and that caused him to feel bad today. Such a relief! I'll make sure he gets plenty of rest today and feed him something he can digest a little better :)
...And now tack on $40 more dollars to the vet bill :P
Don't worry hon, as soon as I get home I'm sending a little something your way to help out!

I just called the clinic and the guy wasn't able to tell me much since he isn't Falcore's doctor, but he did tell me that Falcore just ate something!! :D That's very good news! I hope to have more good news in the morning ^.^

I have more good news! Falcore's doctor called and she said he looks a LOT better today, he's more energetic and aware of his surroundings, and he hasn't thrown up any more!! Eee! They're keeping him again tonight and we'll get another call this evening, but this is such great news! :frolic:

Brits are (generally) 5 hours ahead (if you're in my timezone, I'm in Ontario Canada).
I'm so sorry for your loss Shen. We lost our beagle a few years ago, and our cat in 2011. Both of them were about 10 years old, but they became ill so suddenly that we only had a few days to say goodbye. It's almost unfair that our pets can only spend so much time with us. I hope you and your family are doing alright, and that Falcore is in a place without pain now. :hug:
