Hello all I got a lemon drop last fall from craigslist. I never havethought much about her but I found another lemon drop at the thrift. I was looking to sell the thrift store pony and putting the 2 side by side they are in fact different.
Craigslist lemon drop has
dark purple magenta smaller drops. her pose is much more bulky.
Thrift store lemon drop is the
same pose as Blossom CF. Her drops are deep light lavender and larger drops.
I looked up on MLP WIKI
and I can't fine this exact one.
do I have a nirvana? Or just a re release? Wsa she ever a mail order?
would it explain dibbles and nibbles sea-saw accessory
being pink and yellow rather than teal and yellow?

The craigslist lemon drop is a creamy light yellow, magenta drops and the hair has more of a blue tone to it compared to the normal lemon drop.
NOTE the thrift store one the head if half poped off..
I think its comfermed that she is the lemon drop mail order,
Can I get a price check on her?
she is flawless.

And even more now... there are definitely a few different ways the drops were on the US HK version but I think these are considered "variations" more than actual "variant" ponies. :)

Looks more like the pony second from the back.
But the drops are too big even thought the color looks right.

I think they correspond to different releases of the Show Stable, mine are like that too. :)

I have about 8-10 variants of lemon drop.. Some are also made in China which has different drops (Euro release).
I love collecting variants of her! it's probably just they wanted to change her appearance of the years, or maybe different factories? My guess the first issued one is the one with the thinner dark purple drops on the right.. That's one of my favorite versions of her..
Peachy can also be found in numerous variant forms as well. I'm just talking about the Hong Kong version, not the ones made in other countries :D
If you like variations, I'd keep her.. To me shes a different pony. Your Lemon drop on the left without the tail, maybe the mail offer version as well..

Those look just like mine, it's just hard to see in the photo. :P
But that's why I have an army, they are all a little different! :)

honestly. shes common. so maybe $3-6? I'm just guessing. I haven't sold one online in a while.

I'm unsure, really. I've been wondering about identifying MO LD myself. I've asked about MO LD before here (http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,326013.msg697495.html#msg697495) and got rather confused responses. Here's a link to a yet older thread. There's one thing I can say - a HK 4-stamper with very dark purple squiggly drops (like the 3rd or 4th LDs in Sunshine's photo) comes up in childhood collections and the second-hand market in Europe so I guess we may reasonably assume she has been sold here. That would mean not every 4-stamper w/dark purple drops is necessarily a mail order pony. I have the one with slightly fatter drops (like the 3rd LD in Sunshine's photo), but I got her from another collector a decade ago and couldn't possibly know where she originated in.
OT: apropos Lemon Drops, another thing driving me mad atm are Italian CP molds. Right now I feel like throwing ponies at a wall and screaming there's no pattern.

Thanks a ton, Sunshine! :sunny: I've been investigating the MO Lemon Drop (http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,337528.msg893718.html#msg893718) and you just confirmed my hypothesis that the dark drops 4-stamper comes with both "thin" and "fat" drops as symbol. If I've figured it out correctly, neither of these is the MO version though.

Sure, she's the China version that was sold in Europe with the 2nd edition (pink) Show Stable.
