Title: Fluttershy, Rarity, Pinkie Pie Styling Size - G4ZILLAS! Now in Stores!

GIANT PONIES! Size comparison

They are wicked expensive on Taobao so DON'T get them there- they are popping up in Fred Meyers and other places - and on the Hasbrotoyshop. We've seen Rarity, Pinkie and Fluttershy. The final version of Fluttershy did NOT come with a horn :D

Weirdly enough- the descriptions in the Hasbrotoyshop does not reflect the size, nor has Hasbro named these beasts (they were dubbed G4Zillas by Hannaliten)

Pluses: SIZE is super fun (perfect for epic customs)- and the price in the stores is really cheap! $9.99!

Complaints:
1) The mane is thin- only two rows of plugs. Also, the length is about the same as a Fashion Style- so it looks short.
2) The eyes on Rarity are set way back- I had been hoping it was a Taobao misprint but it appears they all look this way. She looks okay from the side, but from some angles her eyes look REALLY weird.
3) Size is not always good. These will fill up the cabinet terribly terribly fast...
4) WHY Pinkie again?

I'm not super impressed that the only "Stylin" size to show up is Pinkie- but am still happy to have anything rather than nothing- these will make epic customs!

She DOES look a lot like that Walkin Talkin Pinkie (sans the walking and talking bit). That's actually great for me since I hate the moving/talking ponies.. (although will make an exception for NM)

That second picture is actually a shady Toptoy recolor of this picture of a normal Fashion Style sized Pinkie, not a giant pinkie. It's like they got lazy, and didn't want to take another picture, or something. I doubt the real giant pinkie has two-toned hair. Really weird, because that seller usually takes nice pictures.

I dont think so- because none of the FS Pinkies- including the new two color pink one- have eyes like that- only giant pinkie has those eyes (ms cake eyes/cheeks)

It's like some people call them Fashion Style ponies (as they should be) others call then styling size. Hopefully when she's released her box will say Super huge giant-ass pink pony of doom instead of anything else, or I forsee a lot of confusion in big Pinkies.

I want a giant Dashie so I can rehair it to be accurate, and anothr one just because.

Why is her brush so tiny though? I know that we collector's are better with caring for our pony's hair, but think of a little girl who might be a little rougher with her toys, that little brush doesn't seem strong enough for that much hair!

I'm actually really glad that she wasn't released with a bunch of useless accessories as I rarely keep them anyway, they just inflate the price- and besides, this pony was MADE to be customized! :biggrin:

I hope she comes out soon! (I am sad to note that the hair is the short version though- although it won't matter if she is customized- it's still pretty cheap of Hasbro to give her the same quantity of hair as a FS size)

Yeah, I felt the same. Still, I'm glad this is most likely going to be released. Is there a larger photo of the back of the box? I'm curious what it says. (Probably nothing too interesting, but still...)

Or why they didnt make Pinkie the star of the show...can you imagine how much fun Hasbro could have had if they had made a Princess Pinkie [and I hope no Hasbro product staff read that and get ideas :P]

Probably explains why most Twilight brushables are more magenta/pink than lilac!

Pinkie is probably my least favourite pony but... the more I look at her, the more I'm actually tempted by this monster just to have her towering over my collection. Laughing. Stomping. None shall escape the party.

I actually prefer her with short/less hair..too much hair is always a hassle for me to maintain and at that size i imagine it would be an annoying mess (hopefully she won't have any tinsels in there either..cause her mane in the box pics looks a bit bright looking and two-toned >___<;; )

I assume, maybe, it's creating the unique dresses and all they come with (even if lately they have looked incredibly cheap and tacky) that is what makes up the rest of the price maybe.

Of course stores can sell above of below that but most of the big retailers will be on that money or lower. Its always possible its a mistake and they have been listed wrong however. I agree the price does seem out for me - yes I agree its limited packaging and a teeny tiny little comb - but for the size of the pony in comparison to others and their price point...its just unexpected. I thought $14.99 at least.

Although cupidstrikes may have a point about complexity. The fashion styles come with lots of accessories, design a ponies have complex mold coloration, details and come with markers/stickers. Walkin Pinkie/Flippin Dash and gigantic Princess Twy all have electronics and movement. So they are all undoubtedly more time consuming and have extra material costs, being larger left aside. But to just mold a giant pony in hollow vinyl and stick two relatively thin rows of hair on isn't that much more difficult than a smaller pony -- possibly easier.

This is the part that seems very odd to me, as it risks the pony getting damaged before it even reaches the shop :huh: I've bought and seen so many ponies with crushed and dented boxes (though the pony was okay) that I worry it'll be a pain trying to find one of these that hasn't been damaged or had its hair tangled beyond repair.

Considering how ugly and bizarre (Erm, Hasbro, Twilight Sparkle is hardly the pony I'd associate with purses of all things. And you forgot her crown. You went to all the trouble re-releasing her now she is a princess and didn't give her her crown) the dresses and accessories with the FS have been lately...yeah, I'd settle for just the pony and a comb and shoes or something if it would knock their full price down to £10 instead of £16 :P

Can you post pictures, of Rarity especially? I bought the other two already (spending waaaaay too much when they were still unreleased) but am still iffy about whether I want Rarity, only because of the eyes... plus, if anyone could pick her up for me I'd really appreciate it. ^.^

I think they may even be listed on Hasbro Toy Shop now...or if they arent they will probably appear there soon enough.

They are retailing at $9.99.

Considering Hot Topic try to charge $5.50 for a blind bag and most stores are $4-6 for a regular release small playful pony, I think this price is fantastic. Even if we do a $ to £ direct over here - £10 for a styling size pony is pretty acceptable for me.

I do wish their manes and tails were longer (they seem to be about the same amount of hair that a fashion style would have) -but considering how much less expensive they are than a fashion style, I can't complain.

Found in Toy World at Southland Shopping Centre, VIC. They were $21 and the store had four of each character - half on shelf, half displayed on the ground nearer to the registers. They were in pretty good condition too, no crushed boxes or obviously damaged ponies. A couple of dirty spots here and there but no more than you would find on a regular packaged brushable these days.

My assumption is they're just coded to remove $1 from anything, and the cashier simply doesn't care. You're buying something My Little Pony? I used mine at Target , I had 5 and the cashier was only able to use 4, she said that was the limit .

i can't stop petting her...she makes me the happiest!

I gave her a haircut to fix the bizarre mane/tail length ration,
a fun bubble bath and she is cute and ready to be adored!<3

it feels much dryer with thick broken ends and doesn't take styling well so this really bothers me..T___T

has anyone who rerooted their PP kept her original mane hair,
and would making a tail out of her hair work in length?

or maybe I can find a Pinkie Pie tail or loose hair
that i would be able to replace hers with and try to match the hair quality and curl, any ideas?

The rainbow winged twilight sparkle is the G4zilla one. They have started selling in department stores in Singapore.

I just found all 3 G4zillas at Walgreens! :biggrin: I just bought Rarity. I went there for Nurse Redheart and there they were. Going to have to go back later for Redheart though. I love G4zillas way too much.

Hilariously though, they have an "Only at Walgreens" sticker by their price tags. Boldfaced lie there, guys.

Of course I'd rather get them at Fred Meyers during one of their BOGO events, but at least they are spreading around now. $9.99 is such a great price in my opinion. I guess the packaging is pretty expensive (trying to understand the difference between $17 fashion style and $9.99 Zilla)
