A new Sunset Shimmer apperead, but i don't like her:(
Her unique eyes has lost completely their sweetness with all that make up:(

I also don't understand if she is a regular brushable or a fs.

On the one hand I love that we're seeing some additions to the G4 re-releases. I can't stand "oh here's another Pinkie Pie, but this one comes with a hat" type of re-releases, I'd rather the pony be changed in some way. This is more like the later-year G3's where we got the Cascading cutie marks and added designs on the face, etc.
But wow that make-up on her face looks really horrible. :lol:

I like what they did to her hooves, but her eyes make her look more evil.

Also she's a brushable size, the FS have longer horns.

I don't like her eye shadow, but her hooves are okay. Maybe they are trying to make her look more like a villain.

I like the design up her legs... Eyes are a bit much...

Personally, I like her :) it's something different than the standard G4 playful ponies.
I think the evil look suits Sunset Shimmer. If they release this one, I'm going to be going for this one instead of the plain SS.

I love her lower half! I'd have to remove the uber glitter eyes I think. Otherwise, she's lovely!

Oh man those hooves are AWESOME! :biggrin: I haven't seen EQG yet, but from what I understand she's some type of villain/antagonist, so it's perhaps fitting that she's slightly more evil looking. It's just really exciting to see this kind of gradient/detail work which has been so lacking from this line so far when it was so prevelant in G3. Besides, if you remove her eyeshadow her eyes are the same :)

I wasn't planning on buying the original release but I'd actually buy this one. I love the hooves/extra design (always been a big fan of twice as fancies and the g3's with designs down their legs) and I actually think the eye makeup really pops against her color and makes her look really unique.

I love everything about her expet for the fact she isnt in stores yet! x'D She is so beautiful to me! I LOVE the red ombre on her legs with those flames and I even like her over-caked one glitter eyeshadow! I am totally diggin' this chick!

the wayu her front looks, I say she looks like a playful pony size but Id rather that beauty be a fashion style!

:O Wow! I actually think she's gorgeous! For some reason I don't quite understand, I actually don't mind/kinda like ponies with eyeshadow. I blame the G1 Tropical ponies. =P

Agree- seriously, all the trouble to add paint and glitter to an existing character- could have gone towards a character we don't have yet.
Also- I kinda like the gradients, but the makeup is weird and really the entire re-design unnecessary.

But the eyeshadow makes her look like this is her street-walking look. The legs look cool though. I agree that the time and expense should have gone to making a different character. Oh, Hasbro...

Good point! This could be what is planned next for the singles releases (like the current ones with the paper masks!).

Well, she is evil. I really love her. I'm glad they are finally trying to change up all these re-releases. It's the least they can do.

I actually like her. I will be adding her to my herd if she actually gets released, but I doubt we'll see her till the holidays. After all, the transluscent sparkly wysteria and pinkie just are starting to hit shelves now and we saw them months ago due to taobao and such. I hope Ss makes the cut!

I do like the hooves, but the glitter is a bit garish. I guess the nice thing about multiple releases is I can always find a regular one and swap their heads. :P

I agree, SoSilver, she loses her sweetness. She comes off as more sassy with that eyeshadow and flames. (I'm still rejecting her EqG personality, lol.) I do like the gradient on her feet. It'll be a tough decision whether I want to buy her or not if she is released.

Her eyeshadow absolutely changes her look to be more sinister, but those hooves are fabulous! Honestly, I'm going to buy her no matter what.

Meghan McCharthy did ruin Sunset Shimmer's personality and Equestria Girls...but I don't think of her as a bully :/ even though the pony version have make up and glittery eyeshadow, she still doesn't look evil to me. Just...hotter(?) :blush: in a sense? :blink:
Anyways, I like her...she's looks like a clubber to me! :lol:

I really like her too, and I don't normally go for warm colors or pony makeup. In this particular case, the eyeshadow doesn't bother me nearly as much as it does some of you, though. I dislike the eyeshadow on Dewdrop Dazzle and Blossomforth more.

I really don't car too much for glitter done certain ways since most of the time glitter 'sheds' if it's not done properly... Is it me or are they really trying to 'bling up' ponies lately?

I saw her in the other SS thread posted by Lightning Twirl the other day. And I still love her as much now as then! I love the gradient and I am sorry boys & girls I love that sparkle eyeshadow as well :P

So pretty, I would buy her. I like the legs and the eyes are not bad. Hope she does get released like this and maybe that any other re-releases are similar to this. I like the change in the look.

Gradient was my FAVE thing about the later G3 releases. I'm so glad Hasbro brought it back! :D Hope it shows up a bunch more after this!

I love her legs. Her eyes are odd to me though. But in my crazy head, I think.....well, I think it would be better if she had rainbow tinsel in her hair. I think I suffered a head injury. lol

Me! :P I really like her colors and eyes. I agree I'm not totally feeling the makeup but its not a dealbreaker
