Hi guys,
Does anyone know what time the Funko ponies (Lyra and Pinkie) will be added to the Hot Topic site or have I missed them already?
Also, do their links ever change location? I've lost 'Bubbles's link and want to check when she's restocked without having to refresh the whole My Little Pony section and hope!

the ponies will be up for pre-sale on friday. I don't know about the links. I usually just search through all of their my little pony merch. I really dislike their search function. I can never really find what i want on the first try.

The glittery ponies are always 1:24 aside from Bubbles and Rainbow Dash whose glittery counterparts are exclusives elsewhere.
I'm trying to pre-order mine but the cart section of the site appears to have died on me again.

additional: It stops me being able to pre-order them when I select that I am in the UK. I... GRR, frankly. I'll wait for them to come out of pre-order and have to see what happens then.

If I order Fluttershy with Lyra will they be shipped when Lyra is released? I think I'll ask my friend in the states to forward them to me because $45 for shipping is just taking the mickey.

I placed one order for 3 of each. Will be gifting a set to my niece. Trying to figure out if I should place a 2nd order for a few more.

The website is a mess- it keeps stalling at the payment screen. I can only guess that is because of the huge rush to get these guys- I wonder how long Hot Topic will have exclusivity on these two characters?

I hope I DON'T get sparkly ones. Granted, it'd be easy to trade for normal ones if I do get sparkly. Still, would rather not deal with that. I hope they aren't sold out by the time I order them either.

Yes! Only 1 in 24, they are very rare.

Because they are 1 in 24 they are harder to find than the opaque ones of course. But I would not be surprised if you have spotted them occasionally in stores. There are a lot of these ponies out there so the fact they would occasionally turn up on shelves - if every collector and brony in the area has already bought their ponies in store or online - is not that surprising.

I'm guessing the chances of getting the clear sparkly Lyra is pretty slim, I will still probably give in to a pre-order!

I do want these and all, but I found Fluttershy and Dr. Whooves during a B1G1 50% sale, so I'm still waiting for one of those.
Plus I don't think these will be in short supply any time soon. Unless you want sparkly. Me, I'll take 'em if I find 'em, but they aren't on my must have list.
Edit: Saw Hawaiian_Rain's codes, caved. Kinda had some concerns if my order went through ok for a bit, but turns out HT is just slow to send me e-mails.

I *STILL* can't get the Hot Topic site to let me buy any of these guys! It won't load the 'continue' button after I've put my (international) address. Are pre-orders USA only?

I pre-ordered first thing this morning, and will have extras of both if anyone overseas needs help getting ahold of them. I'm hoping I'll get at least one sparkly one; I wasn't so lucky with the previous two (still hunting those).

I've been sitting on the confirm order page for at least 5 min now -.- and paypal keeps erroring out.

I also ordered extras if anyone outside the USA (or in) is looking for just the plane Lyra or pinkie pie. I'm not holding my breath for any sparkles.
They are at cost plus shipping to wherever they need to go.

I had that trouble once, Rhini, and had to switch to using a credit card. But after HawaiianRain posted the discount codes I placed a new order (and canceled the other one) and that time Paypal worked. So maybe close everything out and then start over in a little bit.

And thank you to everyone who has PM'd me with offers to help me out! This is kind of why I love this community. I am definitely after a Lyra for myself, because I play the harp. The site doesn't seem to want to work (at least for me) for any non-USA country, so I've kicked their customer service and facebook page. :P

Is it just me or does the glitter in these chases look different?!
All the other character chase's glitter is mostly magenta but I was just looking at the zoom on these on HT and on these 2 it looks more gold in the pics. Also I noticed no glitter on the hair :cry:

Looks like lots of us put in pre orders for Lyra and pinkie today. Let's all post back when we receive them in the mail and see who gets what. :) Do they usually ship out on the exact release date or how early? I've never had a preorder from hot topic before.

I'd be very interested in a plane Pinkie Pie and Lyra if anyone is interested in sending to Denmark :frolic: I've recently gotten a hold of Fluttershy (my fave of the mane 6 if you can't tell :P) and am waiting impatiently for RD and Dr. Whooves to arrive.
I'd like to know beforehand how much the shipping will be so if anyone can help me then feel free to PM me with the costs and I'll get back to you ASAP :P I haven't bought many ponies over the Arena but have purchased a lot of stuff over Ebay and have great feedback on there, look me up under me Ebay username "mironovitch" (my maiden name) if you want to check out my reliability as a buyer :)

SO ANGRY/CONFUSED right now :( I just got an email saying only the tshirt I ordered is shipping, no Lyra. It said I should have gotten an email about said item being out of stock, but I never got any such thing?
Yet when I go on hot topic's site it still says Lyra is on my order....are they just shipping the tshirt first?

Lyra won't ship until the release date, which is the middle of August.

Of course NOW when I wanna order them they're out of stock, they were last night too. Sigh, I know they'll restock several times before they ship, they did with the last 2 sets too, but still. The sooner they are preordered, the sooner I don't have to worry.

I am curious and if anyone could tell me id appreciate it. What is the difference between the regular and the SDCC Funko? other than it looks like one of them has a turnable head I can't really tell much from looking at them online..Thanks :)

There is no difference between the two types (sparkle and normal), and their heads cannot turn in either colouration. What you can see on the sparkle version is the visible neck seam from where the ponies are assembled, though this still doesn't mean that her neck will turn.

Jenn77 Lyra and Pinkie Pie are not SDCC that's only Rainbow Dash and Ditzy Doo sparkly versions.

I thought there might have been a difference in size maybe that's why I asked although if one is glittery that would explain the price difference.. Guess someone forgot to put the right photo up... The more expensive one is just sold through Hot Topic and is listed as by "FUNKO" and the other is sold by "FunKo", lol.

The Funko ponies sold out so fast on Hot Topic! I made one small order (of three each) then another order for more Lyras, and yet another for more Pinkies (so I could use the coupon codes).
Stupid Hot Topic notified me on Sunday by email that the two orders for Lyra and Pinkie were on "hold" and needed verification in person by phone to proceed. I called today and the rep said that it looks like my first order of three each went through- and maybe the order of LYra- but not the Pinkie order because they oversold those.
However- when I look at my orders online- they all say the same thing- that shipping info is "unavailable" and that the orders are being "fullfilled".
Guess I'll just have to wait and see what happens. I'll either be flooded in ponies or only have three of each. :(

HT didn't stick a limit on how many you could order did they? Like Amazon did with the SDCC pony?

Ahhh...I was not seeing the FUNKO one...maybe because I am in the UK.
Thanks for that. And lol good old Hot Topic unable to resist the need to just mark up higher on everything. I guess the exclusivity on the line prevents even Funko from selling the ponies themselves until the 6 month period has passed. Thats reassuring as it probably means that after each 6 month period, Funko will have a selection of the ponies for sale themselves.
