It came up a while back. Songtoisis found one, and we were trying to figure out if she was rehaired, sunfaded or a variant. Here's the original thread;

One just sold on a mint, not at all faded card, so I think it's safe to say she's a variant.

Awe, sorry. I waited until the auction was over to draw attention to it. I figured someone might get a steal, but it sure skyrocketed in the last 5s. As far as I know, it's a one of a kind MOC. I wonder how many more are out there.

yah I put in a last minute bid and it had already gone past what I thought was crazy at over $150 but I figured it being Delany's it was legit... she mentioned to me she has one loose with a more green body and white and yellow hair when I asked her about whether that item seemed faded. I had no idea there was prior controversy on that glow-n-show

I'm thinking from reading the first thread that the green is definitely original to her = cool variant like the blue hearts variety :-) and that is awesome to know it's an only MOC - I can understand why it skyrocketed in the end like that

Yep the last 5 secs I chucked in a bid and was like how much???? lol
Glow n shows are my fave set of all, now to find her even off card is gonna be impossible! Looks like she will be my first grail pony!

Thank you for posting this! It is nice to have what I suspected verified. (Plenty thought it was faded and I'm a newb;) ). She's a very pretty girl.

She is crazy gorgeous and whelp, looks like I have another expensive pony to put on my wants. Star Glow was one of my two childhood ponies, so I've always been extremely fond of her. I'd love to hear more about her, as soon as we know.

ok i will admit I won her everyone ! I noticed her on ebay saturday night sitting in the bar downstairs with about 10 other collectors at the pony fair, and didn't say a word. I will post pics when she arrives. :)

Lucky Clipper! And please do. She's real, and those are her normal colors- she hasn't gotten greener or discolored. Bill and Jeanne have had at least one of her on card since 2001- for they kindly let me take photos back then. If I had known she was on ebay, I'd have chimed in too for her. She's still one of my grails. :)

Thnx Partypony, I was more gutted as the only moc set I want to own is the glow n show set (which I still have none of), plus to see she was a varient made it even more exciting lol so now it has just made my moc set harder to complete hehe
YAY!!! I just got a Starglow with terrible haircut and bought her knowing she will get a glow in the dark rehair to go with my Dazzleglow (rehair) , thinking on how i would add in this time, as i kept dazzleglow with original colours and added glow in every 3rd plug, how would I do Starglows different!!!.................
Then I was yay!!!! she is gonna be rehaired like the varient with white(glow) and yellow (any idea on colour match?) so I will have a sort of white haired custom varient very soon! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol:

Jemstar, I think those colors would go extremely well with sort of a cool mint color. I'd love to see some green on Star Glow!

I do! :) I got her in an estate lot from a woman who'd bought multiples of the same ponies for her grandchildren to play with at her house so there were four Seashells, four Medleys, four Happy Glows, etc. Having them side-by-side is how I noticed it wasn't just fading/wear variations. :)

I honestly have never seen another one song, thats the reason I was so sceptical at the start when she first turned up. She just seemed so unlikely. Its wonderful she has now been confirmed. I am sure you wont find too many others with her at all.

Honestly, if she'd been in poor shape or not come in with her non-variant self, I'm not sure I'd have thought anything but bad discoloring/etc. With Clipper's MOC, now we know to look for her in lots to come. I trust more will pop up now. :)

Anyway speaking of hair variants, and I know this is a bit off topic.. along time ago when ebay was new, I saw a masquerade with a white streak in her hair, and emailed the seller asking about it.. they said it was white.. but lost the auction. can anyone confirm on this variant?

She's here!!! The colors are so weird. I must say she is more green colored the blue. Her yellow is very pale, it looks paler than applejacks hair.. I could be wrong, since she's in the card and I can't physically touch her.
Her foot stamps are the same..
One thing I notice, is the art on the back shows her with white and pink hair. I'm assuming they probably had a few ideas for her, and I bet they released this version just in a first batch of them and switched it during the next go of production.
My question is, does anyone have a MOC USA version of star glow? Or maybe European as well? Can someone post the UPC numbers P/N and ASST numbers on theirs?

Holding her up against other ponies I've got, the likeliest match is to Baby Dancing Butterflies. Not sure what color that is or what other ponies it was used in, but it is a very delicate light yellow--not Applejack's, or Leaper's, or Baby Crumpet's.

actually I was going to say the yellow looks the same as the other starglow and it's just instead of that heart throb pink, it's white... but maybe it's just me looking at that one photo

Oh Clipper, while you were downstairs bidding I was doing the same up in my room XD I wasn't willing to go that high though. She's lovely, congratulations!
ETA: And it was mentioned on page 1 of this thread that the Delaneys seem to have a loose Starglow with white and yellow hair too. So two confirmed and one probably... that is so cool!
