A new listing has been found on amazon for a very minty christmas. It says that it is directed by jason theissen and the cast is Tara Strong, Ashleigh Ball, and Tabitha St. Germain. It has a release date of October 2013. Hopefully this is real. It would probably explain the new Minty figure popping up from chinese sellers on taobao and ebay. :biggrin:

Also being talked about over here. (http://mlparena.com/index.php/topic,335249.msg854413.html#msg854413) I do think the idea of it being bundled with the Minty brushable makes a lot of sense, since DVDs have definitely been bundled with their stars in the past. So does that mean that glittery Wysteria will be coming with The Princess Promenade?
And could we maybe get a reissue of Skywishes while we're at it??
(I rather imagine Amazon has some of the information wrong, though. The running time matches up exactly, so I suspect it's the original movie, but Amazon just copied and pasted credits from other recent MLP videos and called it good. After all, the FiM universe has Hearth's Warming Eve, not Christmas.)

Yeah, I'm guessing the original film is being reissued and Amazon messed up the credits. I really hope it's bundled with G4 Minty though!

So long as G4 Minty is released, I will be happy! Though, I won't be thrilled to have to buy A Minty Christmas again unless it is a new version. I already have the old one. (And, I still want a Christmas themed MLP train set!)

Sorry guys but Shout Factory released a tweet about this saying that the title is just a placeholder (maybe) and if it is real than an announcement will be made. I also wish for a new Minty Christmas DVD but this may not be happening.

Ooh ooh ooh I'm super interested in this. At the very least, we've got an official G4 Minty release on the way. And at the most, we've got an awesome new special coming along with her! *dances* It's a good present from Hasbro if you ask me!

HAHAHA I immedietly thought "OMG Minty will be included!" and voted yes....saw the poll result, guess everyone thought the same! xD I am SO excited for this....Minty is my fav Earth Pony! Eeeeek and the release date is only a few months away!!!!!

The tweet means the men or women in customer service who manage the Twitter account don't know about it. It does not mean higher up the chain of command someone does not know something. After all if you call Hasbro Customer Service and ask them about any toy release not currently on shelves and therefore not in their system they will deny all knowledge.
All in I am going to keep everything crossed. The number of Minty's who have been spotted certainly indicates some kind of release but then recreating the same story line with G4 from G3 is perhaps a little unexpected given The Hubs seeming wish to keep G4 its own world. Either way - as long as we get Minty!

I hope this happens regardless. I haven't seen the G3 Very Minty Christmas since I was maybe nine, but I remember loving it! It would be fun to see a G4 version.

Yes last year. But with Hasbro you never know. They also promised Fair and SDCC ponies would always be G3 art style ponies. Took them 8 months to back track on that one.

' A Very Minty Christmas was released in 2005,then released again in 2008 with a Ponyville Minty figure. I assume this will be a re-release but this time with the Minty figure which has been popping up on Taobao. They may remake the film into a G4 style to match the toy but we know how lazy Hasbro is :P

If this does happen,I hope she is released in the UK because there is no way I am paying stupid overseas shipping to get her! (Unless a kind Arena member picked one up for me *whistle*)

Tabitha St. Germain played Minty, Scootaloo and Wysteria in the G3 shows, and she now plays Rarity in FiM...it would be funny to see her talk to herself if Minty and Rarity get into a conversation! :P

It'd be nice even if it were the G3 movie packaged with a Minty. I don't have that movie on DVD and I need that figure!

Plus, (as far as we know so far) there is no Christmas in the G4 universe. I think a reissue is most likely, but they could always pack G4 Minty with it.
Unless the movie has a crazy plot where Twilight breaks the universe with magic and G3 Minty travels to Equestria and teaches everyone about Christmas.
Which would be a very odd film, considering how many Christmas traditions are used in Hearth's Warming Eve celebration and we get an hour or so of Minty discussing the birth of pony Jesus Christ.

Oooooh. I hope this is legit! Minty has a really cute design and turquoise is my favourite colour <3 I sincerely hope it'll pop up in the UK, too, if it's for real. (I know there are kind people who will forward them but international shipping is expensive!)

I'm sure she'll be released. I mean I even think Wysteria and that Pinkie will too because they're now down to $20 buy it now on ebay! ... I just hope they bring Minty's price down before it's too late.

Kids will probably want glittery Wysteria anyway, cause SHINY! but hey, might as well try to shill them a bit.

G3 was originally started in 2003. Ponies made in the 90's would be the tail end of G1 and the beginning of G2

Eh, I had to roll with the B variant XP. I'm not gonna have my boyfriend pay $400+ for a pony >_< especially a one that's the size of a G3 baby (even I wouldn't pay that much for a SINGLE pony if I had a job). I admit, the A variant resembles her G3 mother more than the B variant, but there's so many ponies one can get for $400+ :/
