Title: My boyfriend finds out his degree results today! RESULTS UPDATE :D
Post by: mylittleponylover92 on June 29, 2013, 03:44:46 AM
Hey everyone,

Just thought I'd share that my boyfriend gets his results (well he was SUPPOSED to get them yesterday but they didn't appear online, much to our disappointment) today!

Ive been waiting by the phone since yesterday....he's holding out for a first in his Bsc Mathematics 3 year course. He worked out he only needed 60s across his final summer exams!  :)

So Im really hoping he makes it - Im going to be in the same position myself this time next year for my psychology degree - soooo scared! Also Im starting to feel old   Ive just finished my second year last week!   ^.^

After 3 years of him putting in so much effort and being the academic type...I have no worries for him.  ^.^
I only wish I could say the same for myself...no idea how Im going to do a dissertation haha.

Anyways, I'll let you know when I find out if y'all interested  :P  :satisfied:

He needs at least a 2.1 for his upcoming teaching qualification PGCE which he starts in september  :) he wants to be a maths teacher looks like (I hated maths at school so we're so opposite lol)

Thanks for reading!  :)

Good luck to him :)

I was just in his position a week ago and it was scary stuff. I managed to get my 2.1 though!

And don't fret about a dissertation! It may seem daunting at the beginning but once you get into it then you really start to have a good time! I managed to finish my 12,000 words just in time and got a 1st overall on it. I believe psychology dissertations are around 6,000 words though?

Aw wow well done! I'm hoping for a 2.1 when I finish! :)

Thank you, that's good to hear. Wow well done anyways! I'd be thrilled for a first for it! 6,000?!  If it was I wouldn't be worried  It's 10,000 we have to conduct our own psychological study so 6,000 wouldn't be enough! :P

Oh I see. Nearly all of my friends at uni did psych and theirs was only 6,000 including the study so I guess they got lucky! Or unlucky... depending how you think about it, it's very hard to stick to a strict word count when you have a lot to say!

Yeah, it must work differently depending on the university, although it should really be more similar if unis want to compete for league table positions etc!
6,000 would be so easy! I have an essay next year thats 5,000 lol

Anyways, everyone - MY BOYFRIEND GOT A FIRST!  :cheer: :frolic:  :good: :accomplished: :nerdy: :thumb: :iconclap: :yippee:  :joy:

I cant believe how happy I am for him - with a first he can go anywhere and from a really good uni too  ^.^

We have been together since before he started (at school) he left to start his course while I was still doing a-levels...all those years of listening to him stressing over it, giving hm space for exams and being there through it all was so worth it!
