Title: Is it safe?
Post by: zora on June 17, 2013, 11:36:30 AM
hi,

i am messaging with a seller from france about some ponies. is it safe to pay 100eur to his paypal account?

this transaction is NOT an ebay buy.

would it be safer to ask him that he lists the ponies for BIN on ebay and i buy them there?

thank you!

As long as you pay by Paypal you can open a claim within 45 days if something goes wrong. You don't need ebay to be covered :)
But Please keep an eye out for the 45 day limit

Pops is right!  As long as you pay him for merchandise and not as a gift payment, you will be covered under Paypal.

Yea I agree with everyone its extremely important that you not send that money as a gift option.  If you do that, then you have no way to get your money back if something goes wrong.  So like everyone has said be sure to click, "goods". when selecting payment type.  Also it might be a good idea to have some sort of seller reference on the person you are buying from just for peace of mind.

Oh right, forgot to mention that key part :) I hardly ever use "gift" option so I forget about it...lol
