I'd love to get one of these dolls, but I don't have a Tuesday Morning near me. I hope they get added to their site eventually. Sunset Blvd is gorgeous, but I don't really like her dress. Do these dolls share clothes with any other types of dolls? Also, do they wear wigs, or is their hair rooted?
I think the J-Doll I like the most is Abbott Street. I also really like Josephsplatz, Koningslign and Vasterlanggatan. I just wish they weren't so pricey.

Yesterday I picked up Promenade des Anglais. I'm excited for my first J-Doll and think she's really pretty. I haven't deboxed her yet. Maybe I will this weekend. I probably shouldn't have given them my money though, after the terrible experience I had there.

Based on what I've seen, I have a theory that only J-dolls in the Green/Orange gradient foil boxes are the stock Tuesday Mornings are getting right now.

I think it's still very very early in the shipments, their official release date was only last week. hopefully lots more will crop up soon.

It isn't like that I don't think. :) Since we are a closeout we buy leftover stock from other stores who push it out to make room. Sometimes we get the same stuff every year (like out of season clothes) and sometimes we get something once and never again. Our trucks are organized by category so we know we will get toys but not what kind or where from.

Yup, J-Dolls have either type 3 or type 4 Pullip bodies, so anything that fits those will fit J-Dolls too. Earlier J-Dolls will be type 3, later will be type 4, but I'm not sure exactly when/with which doll the switchover happened. Yup, J-Dolls have either type 3 or type 4 Pullip bodies, so anything that fits those will fit J-Dolls too. Are most clothes marked as being for type 3 or type 4? I know Abbott Street is type 4. I've been looking at tons of pics of her and I checked the Toy Box Philosopher's review on J-Dolls to compare and she's definitely a type 4, which I'm happy about since I think the type 4 body looks better.
I just paid for my Abbott Street! I got her on eBay for $40 (shipping included), which is a bit more than I wanted to pay, but I've noticed fewer and fewer of her on eBay and since it's not looking like she'll be found at TM at this point, I figured I'd better grab her while I can. I can't wait until she gets here! I may still end up buying one of the other two on my wishlist if I find either for a decent price eventually. I just don't want to overdo it since I already have 3 huge collections (MLP, MH and Hello Kitty) and I don't have room for another.
It's too bad they're not making anymore J-Dolls. Was there a picture of the cancelled one? I'm curious to see what she looks like.
For J-Dolls? La Dee Da and Monster High do not fit.Yea unfortunately pullip bodies are an in-between size that not a lot fits. Blythe and pullip clothes will fit, Barbie is generally too big. Moxie girls stuff fits great, and bratz pants will fit.
Groove is not going to make any more Jdolls ever, with a ton of the old ones showing up at TJ Maxx etc at a fraction of the cost they would lose money by making more. No one is going to want to pay full price for a new release when you can buy most of the others at TJ Maxx or on ebay for less than half the cost.

I haven't seen any new ones in our shipments but that doesn't mean I won't. Some areas they sell and some they don't. Which sku were they under?
There is a 4 digit number in the upper right hand of the tag usually. It stands for the date and month it was released to the store. Ours are 1213s, so they came in December of 2013.
In store you can have them check if you have the sku and a zip code. I think there is also a # you can call, I've never actually done it on the customer end. If you want to give me the zip code I can run our skus and check tomorrow.
Cool remember they are assorted skus so it well tell how many dolls if any but not which dolls.
There are some J-doll on Amazon for amazing prices (many with cheap or free shipping). A few are overpriced, but most are below the original retail if not similar to TM prices.

I didn't like her outfit, so I put her in a Barbie dress I had handy. I ordered a few outfits for her on eBay, so she won't stay in this dress. I also want to get her a red wig because I don't like her hair. I'm waiting to name her once I have her final look down.

She wasn't on my list of J-Dolls I wanted, which I made based on photos of the dolls I found online. But once I saw her in person, I was in love. She's gorgeous and I adore her outfit. I mean, look how detailed her outfit is:

Her shoes aren't stock, I got them on eBay awhile back. They're actually kind of huge on her, despite being listed as Pullip shoes, but they look ok on her, I think. I've decided to name her Allison.
I'll have to do some better photoshoots with all three of my J-Dolls together soon.
I actually couldn't get In-sa-dong's shoes off to remove the plastic they had wrapped around her legs and feet under her stockings. So I ended up cutting the straps off her shoes. And even that wasn't easy and I ended up cutting a small hole in one of her stockings in the process. Now her shoes are just regular heels.
