So i was marveling today that a large portion of my collection are in fact oddities. over a considerable period I have collected lots of oddities from prototypes to factory errors.. I have a total of 10 now ... a whole army!
How many do you have? Show me yours!

Descriptions:
-The top we have oddball flutter honeysuckle from the UK, She is in a windy wing box and she doesn't have any wings. She also has comes with a pony charm 2 combs and 3 pamphlets.. One UK pamphlet and two US ones.
-The top left is hearthrob pose hong kong unfinished pony. No tail or mane plug holes
- Top right is unfinished Peruvian One of a kind firefly with white symbols. She is the only peru pony ever found unfinished and the only peruvian firefly found with white symbols to date.
- Left is hong kong milkyway with factory sealed head and blue tail. She came from Rosare's collection. She had her for 8 years and got her in a lot of unmarked ponies a long time ago.
- Next is red haired goldish green Tootsie with green flecks in her symbols. Only two have ever surfaced like her.. mine came from a member who got her when she was a little girl from the hasbro employee store in rhode island.
So she could be a prototype or unreleased variant.
- Then there is moondancer who is missing holes for a purple stripe in her mane. Her head is factory sealed.
- Then the mexican flutter which only 4 or so have ever been found.. Its unclear weather she is a fakie or an unreleased or special release from mexico. She has many characteristics of mexican ponies like hair and
body texture.
- Spanish masquerade with yellow eyes and purpley blue stripe is in the back. She has different hoof markings than the normal spanish masquerade
- Paint time Prototype.. this girl is actually a resin hand painted prototype.. her symbols are backwards and her body is a peach instead of dark pink. Her hair is
also extremely long and eyeliner is emphasized. She may have been developed for the photographs on the pamphlets or an initial conception of what the
pony would look like. She was found with two other school time painted protos.. i believe music time and i forget the other.
- And lastly newborn unfinished pony. I do not believe an other white newborn has ever been made in her pose. She has no holes for hair.

Wow I love that Milky Way! And the Firefly with the white symbols??? Is that a prototype Painting Time (like used for the pamphlets?) Can you give us a walk-through on your oddities, like origin, strange method of acquiring, theories etc etc pretty please

Oooh- delicious! I would also love to hear a description for all of them (although the flutter pony in the windy wing looks familiar- is this the one with no wings?) I love that painting pony- how cool that the vintage pony prototypes were made out of a different material.
I don't have any vintage pony oddities- but I would love some. I do have some toyfair prototypes and odditeis from other lines-

I :heart: the painted long-haired Painting Time, she's beyond beautiful! Much better than the actual release of her.
Here are my two oddities, Lemon Drop without Hasbro stamp and Strawberry Surprise with unfinished symbols. Both are flea market finds from Finland. I'm sorry they don't look their best in these pics (just took them from one of my pony storage boxes :blush: )

Ooo. I love that strawberry surprise. Great find!
The newer tobbao ponies are pretty cool too.

I have an Italian Parasol that has freckles! Unfortunately, her body is pretty faded, so it is very hard to photograph white freckles on a pale pink head.

And my slight orange Parasol (hard to see but she's really not light pink as usual) - most ppl say she's discolored but she's orange in the inside as well - so I'm not sure that she's really discolored. Anyway I like her =)

Baby Billie in variant pose. There may be another one out there, as I vaguely recall hearing about one before I got mine, but she hasn't surfaced since. Taffeta has a Susie in variant pose also (will add that pic too)

Glow in the dark mane Princess Woosie, to my knowledge the only one and I think the only GITD oddball that isn't a Princess Sapphire?

Non-happy tail GREEN Woosie variant. To my knowledge, she is the only green Woosie variant known.

And a couple of non-pearly pearly petites. I do have a third one as well, but no pics. Roogna, I think you have some of these as well?

Oh, and I also have a Pretty Vision with a circular hoofmark (have seen a couple of these, but not many), but no pics at the moment.
A friend of mine has some painted seaside baby prototypes that are awesome, but she's not an active poster these days :(
P.S. Is photobucket trying to get me to switch to another host????

Aww I'd love to see more painted ponies... Were the painted Seaside Babies similarly coloured than the regular Seaside Babies?
Photobucket hasn't been my favourite either after its update :(

Similar, but not exactly the same. They're plastic rather than resin, but when you look at the body colours underneath the paint I wasn't able to match them to any existing ponies as a base.

Yeah, they belong to a friend of mine who lives in the same city as me. Not sure if she ever signed up to the Arena - I've known her since before the Arena began and she's not on the forums anymore.

yes, I have a several petite variants including some nonpearly ones, a glitter one with a different symbol and bow color, and a pearly with a different color symbol
plus the strange chinese mold ones - I think you got a couple as well ladyG or did I snag them all?
I'm in the process of taking pics and stuff for my Petite presentation at the MLP Fair. I will have them with me :) and my 2 original clay sculptures for petites (one is signed) that are 3inches or so tall

Yeah- they made 2 prototypes- one black and one purple- the purple version is the one they were going to use- the black one was designed before the character design for stormy was finished :D

I have another one
TE BBE baby Lickety Split
Her eyes do not appear to be tampered with, even on the inside it's the same as a normal BBE. They are fully inset and not just glued onto an eyeball.
I got her in a random lot of ponies a year or two ago and haven't gotten around to taking pics till now

I guess my June Rose is a prototype. I purchased her from Delaneys back in '06 maybe. She was so strange, there was no resisting.

So the dolls hospital rehairs count? I have an Argie moondancer with pink hair. I was a bit gutted to find out she was a rehair, even though it was factory.

Sneaks on to say - I have a sitting down fakie in that mould with wind whistler symbols and a standing up fakie wind whistler too :) Both are blue with blue hair :) they are cool fakies, I would love the Cotton Candy one.

So many lovely oddity ponies!
Each pony is unique in it's own way.
You've really got to just stop and appreciate them for what they've got to offer...
I don't have any real mlp oddities... Just two weird rainbow brite items that I got at a thrift shop a few years back that I think are prototypes, have not been able to identify them within that toy line release or confirm that they are prototypes...
I have a few oranged parasols... lol.
