Had two fabulous packages come in the mail today, one from Ebay and one from Eternia. Added to the few baits that I already had on hand, here's big bunch of baits! :D

Several of them may have salvageable hair, so I'll be saving those. Excuse the headless state of several of the ponies, they're quite embarrassed to be seen like that! lol Can't wait to get started with the hair removal and then on to the customizing! I have several ideas in mind, and some of these new ponies are in exactly the pose I was looking for! :yippee:
Please, everyone, if you see a pony on your want list, please let me know! I don't want to be using ponies for bait that someone else is yearning for!

She's in pretty rough shape. :( She has blue marker all over her (can't really see it in the photo) and her symbol is almost rubbed right off. She would be gorgeous otherwise, but....

I just can't stomach baiting seasonal ponies is all <3 G3's respond really well to light fading in my experience. ;-; Would you let me try and save her? I've been perfecting my fading and whitening techniques....

The blue marks are slightly darker in real life than in the photos but her hair is lovely still. Honestly, what I had in mind for her was to keep the seasonal theme, repaint her body in a pearl white if I couldn't get rid of the blue and give her a glitterized new symbol and some crystal enhancements and maybe add a bit more complexity to her mane and tail. But then, I'm not as attached to the original design as many people are, that's why I said to let me know if anyone wants one of these girls just as they are. ;)

haha that is exactly what happened, my little sister wanted to make custom ponies...lol XD I sold her as bait because I have no experience at sunfading, and was hoping someone else could give her a good home :)

T_T Oh my gosh, really?!? That is so sweet!! I sincerely just squeed in real life! But yeah, I noted Kae about it, I'd feel pretty confident restoring her. I had her myself at one point but passed her on to someone else. I don't Celebrate christmas myself, but I love the pony. Seeing her without her hat and all that, needing some love, just kinda...heh, I got carried away, I do that sometimes ^^;

She actually does have her hat - I just took it off of her for the pictures. The hat is in great shape, but I thought she was so pretty she deserved a crystal tiara instead. :D What do you think kissthethunder? Would it break your heart to see her spiffy-ed up and not totally kept to the original design?

CP means collectors pose

CP is the pose, collector's. She wasn't sold in the US in that pose. That yellow G1 with the locks of hair, Kisscurl, wasnt sold in the US either. If you don't mind my asking, do any of the G1's have different countries under their hooves other than China or Hong Kong?

Oh my! I had no idea! I bought the lot of G1s on EBay from a UK seller and I thought I was safe since the lot was labeled "bait". I'm at my cottage right now and don't have Bowtie here with me, but the others all have "Hong Kong" on the bottom of their hooves

Some picky collectors want mint condition ponies even though they are 30 years old and mint ones are hard to find. Anything else to them is bait. There are plenty of collectors who have less strict standards of which ponies are bait, especially those only sold in certain countries.

Hmm, so I've been thinking about what to do with this. Does this mean that there would be people interested in these girls if I can get them cleaned up and rehaired? I don't want to bait them if that is the case. I double checked on Bowtie, and she also has Hong Kong on the bottom of her hoof.

You can definitely find homes for the two non-US G1's (Bowtie and Kisscurl) and the other G1's if they are in nice shape. The super long-haired G3's, pegasus, Candy Cane, and the babies if their hair can be fixed and they don't have issues.

Thank you for letting me know about this, I've decided to restore the non US girls if I can. I've found the matching hair on Dollyhair and figured out how to clean them up. :)
