What types of methods do you use to deflock? Does it ruin the symbol with all the chemies?
-
I use a mixture of hot water, a toothbrush, dish soap and acetone. I have not had any issues with obvious symbol loss, though you certainly have to be cautious.

Does it take very long to deflock a pony?
-
Sometimes you will get one that the flocking practically falls off of, other times they are a total PAIN. It can be rather time-consuming. But it's rewarding if it doesn't drive you crazy!

Yeh, the more common method I hear is acetone. When I looked into this sometime ago, someone from somewhere (can't recollect where on the web) said to SCRAPE it off without anything!! I was hurting inside and out. D:

That's scary. I just recommend trying it on a pony you aren't too attached to first. Stuff can go wrong!
-
Oh the horror I can imagine!

This is a good tutorial - http://www.aikarin.com/mlp/customs/deflocking.html
How easy and quick it is all comes down to how stubborn or broken down the glue actually is. Acetone, paint stripper or sugarsoap are all really good options - but no matter which one you normally do have to be prepared to scrub. With the paint stripper and the acetone you should also be careful around symbols and eyes.

I offer deflocking service :)
