OK - last year was paper, and Karl wrote me the most beautiful, tear jerking love letter <3 and I made him a paper booklet of some of our favourite love poems and songs, adorned with pretty bits etc :)
So this year is wood isn't it? What can I do for him this year? :/ any thoughts? :)

Maybe a piece of furniture? Like a chair or shelf or such. Or a picture frame.

Picture frame is a good one :) I'm a photographer, so I could frame a favourite photo...
I think a piece of furniture is out of my budget this year unfortunately, also ideally I'd like it to be something I've made. A salvage piece would be amazing if I could get one, a manky old bookcase which I could do up. Mind you, he'd know about it as I've nowhere to store it!

Maybe you could carve something out of a small piece of wood? As long as you can find a dry bit, you just need a wood carving knife. Just if you were after doing something a bit crafty :)

XD been a fan forever :) I think at least 11-12 years now :) And you're from the 'diff :) I was born and brought up in Gilwern :) (well, born in Swansea, but moved not long after). Was living in Swansea (uni in 2003 - 2006) until 2008 too, then moved to Ireland :)

If you have a yard to put it in... Maybe some drift wood? It's free, kinda cool looking if you can find some...

I like the picture frame idea. The driftwood type ones are in fashion right now so you should be able to get a really nice one.
Try Evolution if there is one near you.

Not heard of Evolution - doubt we have that in Ireland - but I can have a look if I get the chance next time we're in Leeds!

Maybe make him something special. A box to put mementos in..or even that picture frame :)

YES. New bedding is perfect! Orrrr ... really soft matching robes if you want to be cheesy. XD

Haha - I think he'd kill me if I got new bedding - I'm the bedding nut around here - he gets angry with me for even looking at new bedding! XD
I think a tee is a good idea, he's always moaning about the state of his own... will have to get something really awesome! :D

Well, if that's not a hint that he wants new threads, I don't know what is! Threadless.com is good for cool printed tees. I've also done my own prints in the past, with stencils and textile paint, it's a little fiddly, but they turn out great and they will be completely unique!
