Good! My boiler was broken for 5 days and it got fixed yesterday, so I have been able to have hot showers again!
Unfortunately I have no money this month, I already spent it all on furniture and it's only the 11th :yikes:

Oh no nothing worse than not being able to have a hot shower.
Not bad, just working a lot. I can't wait for this weekend, I've been putting in a ton of hours so this pay should be really good. I'm planning to finally buy the TRU G4 favorites. I've recently become addicted to the G4 brushables lol

Oh amazing! Pony buying is fun :) I wish I was still on weekly pay, monthly is rubbish and it's always the same amount.

Ugh it's awful. We had a few good days but its been raining for the past 2 days with no end in sight. And it's a cold windy rain : ( I can't wait for the good weather to come!

Ugh I'm tempted!! Hahaha maybe that'll work! I've yet to see one in our store. And no luck again today : ( she's the last one I need of that set and of course she's my favorite. I hate to pay crazy shipping fees when you'd think she should be in the stores now lol
On the bright side I found a talking pink Celestia that still works at the thrift store lol my first G4 find not including the McD toys :biggrin:

My sister is moving back in the first of may. When she moved she said I could use her room as my craft room. Well I moved in a giant bookcase for all my craft stuff and smaller one for displaying ponies. This weekend I have to do some crative arranging in my room so I can clear out all my stuff from hers. My pony collection has ballooned in the past year and my bedroom has suddenly become very tiny. Prob a sign I should move out XD
Ugh not looking forward to that.

I have to work on Saturday:(. Don't feel too sorry for me, I only work 1 day a week :toot:
I am in the middle of some serious winger cleaning though. I have to tell you, this last week has been such a labor of love:). Going through an enormous box of wingers has been so much fun. Some of them seriously needed new hair, so I began a long process of rehairing 8 of them. I received a hank of Glow in the Dark hair (it's so awesome!) and Starlight, both as gifts. I decided to blend the 2 together and use them on a manky High Flyer. I'm almost finished with her, and she is amazing!
I'll show you guys as soon as I'm finished:)

I can't wait to finish her! Today was crazy busy for me. My older daughters have dance on Fridays and we're getting closer to the recital date. Tonight was the night we got to watch the finished recital dances in the studio, and they were beautiful!! Every time I watch my daughters dance, I cry, I can't help it, it just amazing to see them doing something they really love.
Phew! I'm such a softie sometimes:)
A anywho, I'll be at work tomorrow, so hopefully we won't be too busy and I can finish my rehair. My coworkers are super cool, and they know all about my pony addiction.

I wish I only worked one day a week xD But then my paycheck would be so sad. I'm already shorted on hours because we're training a bunch of people for a new store opening. Grr!

The weather has been rainy here and I have 3 dogs that are terrifed of thunder so I've had three scared pooches piled on top of me :lol: My female poodle stares at them like they're crazy. "What? It's just thunder. Get over it!" :P
Michelle, I can't wait to see your lovely wingers :lovey: I have started my first rehair and I have half her mane done. It's taken me 5 hours :shocked: Does it always take that long or am I just slow because I'm a newbie? :P

What method do you use Shen? I usually rehair whilst watching TV, so I have no idea how long it takes me to do a pony. I do a version of the needle and thread method, which apparently takes longer than the method with a rehair tool, but doesn't require glue :)

I am rehairing with a needle and fishing line :) I met up with Kaoskat and she showed me how, but I'm wondering if I have the strands of hair too thick because they're hard to pull through the holes :what: I'm having difficulty seeing the holes as well and have a flashlight handy to see inside :P

I think 5 hours is a pretty darn good speed!! My first rehair waaaaay longer than that, but I was also watching TV too and distractions happened. :blush:

I'm expecting some dollyhair and have 3 new re-hairs planned now. I can't wait until it gets here!!

Hmm maybe, are you knotting them and then doubling them up? The hair should kind of naturally fall into small sections which are roughly the right size for each plug :)

The Dollyhair kind of separates into strands and I put four of them together. I'm wondering if I should put just two or three together instead! I'm knotting them and they are doubled and I pull them through. She looks to have quite thick hair so far :lol:
I'm doing the Bride pony :) I cut off her hair years ago :yikes: I'm still kicking myself over that!
Ginger, I don't feel so slow then :lol: I'm excited to see everyone's rehairs :)

Well I said goodbye to my kitty today. Mr Bear was 19 and recently he started going down hill really fast and this morning he passed away. On one of my ponies. G3 Silverglow fell off her shelf last night (still not sure how) and he rested his head on her tail. I was super close to this cat. His mom died just after his litter was born (she was hit by a car) so my mom, my friend and I raised the kittens and Mr Bear and I formed a really close bond. I'm not sure what I'm going to do without him, it's going to be very strange not having him around anymore. :cry:

Massive hugs for you Lady S :hug: So sorry about your cat. It's always hard when pets die, I can't imagine how hard it must be when your pet was so old and you've been through so much with him. Hope you'll be okay.

Yeah I am not having the best day either - woke up this morning and couldn't turn my head :( So I haven't been in work. The muscle is slowly getting looser but I'm still in a bunch of pain which is annoying. Also I think I'm getting a cold >_<
So I would like to just get rid of today, hopefully tomorrow will be better for us both!

Ohhh owww that's the worst, neck muscle pain. I hope you feel better. And yes, hopefully tomorrow will be better. On a good pony note the mailman brought me two ponies today. Both eBay wins, a minty Baby Leaper and a G4 factory "error" Rarity/DJ mix up pony.

SQUEEEE!!!! I was really down about my kitty so I decided to go thrift store pony shopping and I actually had good luck. I found a G3 I didn't have and a G3.5 (don't really collect those but I may keep her, she's cute), G1 Baby Bouncy (these keep finding me lol) and *drum roll* a G4 Sweetie Swirl!!!!! I almost screamed in the store lol Sweetie Swirl was one of my G4 grails!! I can't believe I found her. Only my second G4 find.
Anyways I had to share :)

So, my hair is being sent today, hopefully! The RDUS owner was ill for a while so she wasn;t able to send it out, which I completely understand. It should be here soon and then I can quickly hair the custom and send it off to Starflower!

I've just finished rehairing CP Bow Tie in red and white :biggrin: washed her hair and it's now drying in leg wraps.

Considering most of the ponies I rehair are wingers, it takes me about 3/4 to 1 full hank of hair, but I love super thick hair:)

I have a G4 bait that I'd love to attempt to make into a Starflower. Any of you customizers know how much of each hair colour I'd need? Would one hank for each colour be good?

I'm pretty sure one hank of hair of each color would be more than enough for a G4! :D
I get mine from dollyhair too. Had a problem once but I got a fast response and they fixed it right away. :D

I get my hair from RDUS usually and haven't had a problem til now, but she was ill, so I don't really consider it a 'problem' per se so much as a set back. And usually one hank will do me a G3 pony and less for a G4.
I'm excited to send your custom off. She'll be my second fully completed custom, and even though she is extremely simple, I am still proud. I hope you'll like her.

Ok soooo I really dislike how huge the Glimmer wings are on the G4's so I bought a Daisy Dreams today to experiment with. I ripped off her glimmer wings (which felt really satisfying :lol: ) and replaced them with winger wings!! Her glue is drying so she's not ready for a photo shoot yet but I wanted to share anyways. I must say the winger wings look sooo much better, more proportioned to her body size. :)

I now want to do this to each Glimmer wing. Does anyone remember who the member here is who makes repro winger wings?

I am almost done with my first "full" custom and messed up big time. :( The sealer I used was a bad idea. It dried too glossy and is a little sticky so fuzzes are sticking to it... (applied weeks ago so it SHOULD be dry) I decided to put the hair in anyway but that was a BAD idea too- the head might be ruined by fuzz. Ugh all that work!

Awww Ginger I'm sorry to hear that. I hate when you put in so much work and things just don't turn out. Can you put a different (better) sealer on top? Or is it too late?
I almost ruined Daisy Dreams, I don't know what Hasbro was thinking but that piece the holds the glimmer wings on is like half her body!!

Pinkittywinks makes wings, but hers are more like butterfly ones (I love them though, I've bought lots from her), I know Lady Satine makes wings and so does Pandabearchan, I think the latter might be the one who makes proper repro ones. HOWEVER you could just ignore me and go and check the first page of the swap thread as Michelle listed them all there :)

Oh hun :hug: I had a lot of stress with my first FBR, I have no idea how to keep them from getting fluffy! What sealant did you use? I found matt Mod Podge really good. You need to water it down though. I agree with Lady S - you may as well try a layer of another sealant to see if that gets rid of the stickiness. Don't despair!

You're right!! I had a baity Sky Dancer with terrible regrind. I love how the winger wings look on the G4's...now I have a project - change glimmer wings to winger wings lol

I didn't mind the huge glimmer wings so much, I thought they made for an interesting variation. But those winger wings are the perfect size and look sooo adorable on the tiny G4 body!

Aww thanks, I'm pretty sure the custom is all messed up. At first I thought I could scrub the fuzzies off but that didn't work either because they are so embedded. It was a rustolium sealer. :lol: My mom was going to the craft store and offered to get me the sealer while I was at work but she got the wrong brand. XD In my haste I decided to use it anyway and it SO wasn't worth it. It was "supposed" to be matte too, but came out totally shiny. Everything about it went completely wrong. XD
Here she is though, this is what I was trying to do. The picture hides most of what went wrong. :lol:

That's a gorgeous custom Ginger :biggrin: Hopefully you can fix the sealer problem some time in the future when you have had some time not trying to deal with it! I know how it is when you have to do something over and over and you just don't want to see it anymore!

I've got this bright green fakie in the flutter pony mold with brith pink hair and i'm attempted to add some flutter wings and make a vivid fakie flutter minty.
