Title: Nailart UV device - suitable for pony bleaching?
Post by: pandabear_chan on April 07, 2013, 12:45:13 PM
Hi pony peeps,

I need your experiences in fading marks on ponies. I know there are methods with sunlight, peroxide or acne cream.

Did anyone of you work professionally or privately with nailart i.e. with gels, that need UV hardening in a UV device? Did any of you gave pony fading a try with such a device?

Usually, gels just need 2 min of hardening, so I'm wondering if it works for ponies too.

Would love to get your comments on that...

(Mods please merge if it is the wrong board)

Many Greetings
Isabella

I think there was a recent post about something like this. I remember reading something recently but not sure where. I think it does work well from what i recall but not too sure.

Hmm, thats an awesome idea! It would make sense, it is still UV. If anyone can say for sure that this works, im so going to buy one for my ponies lol.

It would be really great if it works for those who have little to no sun, or those of us who have too much sun to be able to leave a pony unsupervised!

It's a neat idea, but I'm not sure I'm willing to buy one if I don't know it'll work. :(

If no one else tries it, I'll maybe find a cheap UV black light and see what it does to a pony. It seems like it would be pretty hard to get a pony under the lamp so I'd just build my own little box.

I'm interested, sure. There isn't anywhere in my apartment that gets sun for a large part of the day.

If no one tried it until the end of the month, I'll buy a device and give it a try... It needs to be a good one, that the pony won't be damaged. Isn't there anybody who's friend works at a nailart shop and could give it a try?

@bbassel

Can you possibly find the post and put a link in here? I'd love to read.

I actually have one of these some where in my attic - but its not a professional high end one and its a couple of years old. Unfortunately I dont think I have a baity enough pony which needs sunfading I can test it on and I am not 100% if it still works.

I think its a pretty interesting idea pandabear, certainly worth a shot to see if it works.
