today i got my 3rd vintage jointed plastic horse and dont know why i am buying them! :D the first one i bought very cheap off ebay for about 3 eur because i found it fun to pose it and i even did an animated stop motion movie with it :P that was the main reason.
but then i saw more of the popping up on ebay and i bought 2 additional ones ^^ i have no idea what these horses are worth, i just buy them if they seem cheap enaugh. i am starting to like them very much and maybe i will even start a collection :D
does anybody have infos on them or maybe collect them? i would love to talk to experienced collectors! ^.^
this is the last horse i bought, its very discolored (much worse than it looks on the picture):

That's really neat! Congrats!

Very nice. The photo's reminding me of an Old Spice advert. :)

Oh, interesting. I dont htink ive seen a jointed horse before--atleast, not with soo many joints!
I woud have no idea what the value is. maybe try ghost of the doll and see if you can get an id?

Its a Marx horse and rider. The Lone Ranger and Silver the horse (possibly Scout if it was a pinto with orangish markings). 1970's. In that condition they aren't exactly worth a lot. I mean, if that's the Lone Ranger, its not his jacket. $10 maybe?

That's a really cool find!

value is not the thing i am interested in, i just want to get infos on them :)
@haveacrumpet - do you have some infos on my other 2 horses too? i am glad that i now know the name of the white one! :D thank you!

Oooo, that black one is just like a palomino one I have!
PB won't cooperate, so please have a look here, and for the info gleaned from an Etsy seller a little later in this thread: http://mlparena.com/mlp/index.php/topic,304689.msg334537.html#msg334537 ^.^
Hope this helps! ^.^

Congrats! Those look awesome :D!

Brown one might be from the Big Jim line by Mattel. Maybe Dancer? Still looking for the black.

I may have it...
Your black one (and my palomino) might be a Big Beauty horse, sold through Sears!

I'm pretty sure for mine, but I can't confirm 100% that it was available in black too. But the mould sure looks right! ^.^ Hope it helps!

http://www.modelhorsegallery.info/ has a lot of info on older horse toys i remember seeing something about pose-able horses up on there but i can't remember which .

Interesting! I had a one as a kid that was almost identical to the one in the first post in everything except colour. I've never known where it came from (it was passed along from a cousin), so I'd be interested to know more about them as well!

YES! thats the same horse! it also has a "squished" back! :D unfortunatly the etsy link is not useful anymore because the item isnt available anymore :(
big beauty is a cool name as its really big compared to the others! :D
the brown one has some problems with standing as its front legs are very narrow. for my opinion the big beauty horse is the best quality of the three.

They are gorgeous :lovey:

 your poseable horses, congrats on getting them! I found this vintage horse site a while ago, it seems to have some poseable ones too: http://barbie-pferde-sammlung.npage.de/#
