I often get ponies second hand or in ebay lots or even occasionally need to groom one of my own.
Rather than bend over a sink with a comb.. sometimes I just bring them with me while I take a bath. (not actually IN the bath, nobody likes tailrust!) but tubside I can comb and condition them right there and then they can dry out on the tub sill too. :blush: :P :satisfied: :biggrin:

Hmmm I let my nieces play with my bate G1 ponies in the bath and they love to soap their hair up and rinse it out, of course after the bath I pop their heads off and pull the tails out to keep them from rusting. ready n dry for the nest bath time.
I took a pony in the bath just to bring back memories,Ill admit to it. It was sorta fun.

I took ponies in the shower once! Just to wash hair and bodies (was careful to avoid rust situations as well!) then lined them up on the edge of the tub to dry :)

I've brought ponies into the shower, yeah. Scrubbed them clean and then got out and replaced tail washers and clamps. :) I would be too grossed out about the dirty ponies to sit in the water with them... ewwww...

Well does taking a bubble bath with the sea ponies count? When I am sick I treat myself to a sea pony bath. LOL My little dog loves to watch sea ponies floating in water. None of my sea ponies are mint and they all have loose heads...so why not have a little fun from time to time.

I've taken ponies i was restoring showering with me before. They needed a hair wash and conditioning, and so did I. Might as well get it all done in one go. Of course, some were already decapitated at that point to deal with rust issues, so that may have looked a little weird. >>

the sink is high in my bathroom so i dont need to lean over. its very easy having everything i need on the sides and hot water flowing. sometimes i take them in the shower with me since i can just sit and take them apart without making a mess

No but it sounds like something I would do! I love baths but usually do not have use of a tub only a shower.

I do it too! I don't have them in the bath with me but i do clean them in the bath while i kneel over it - it's just easier and a lot less messy! You are not alone!:-)

I don't do this yet, but you're giving me ideas XD this sounds like a fun way to pass time while soaking in the tub (and an easy way to get some ponies cleaned! I've got like 60 G3's that need their hair done) Thanks for the tip ;)

No, but I am now seriously considering it!
And I am DEFINITELY taking my baby seaponies in the bath with me tonight :D

I've done that before! :) Took a few G3s to the tub with me and conditioned their manes while I soaked in the tub. I don't think I'd take a really dirty pony with me, though. That would gross me out.

Oh gosh, I've never done this before but it has crossed my mind. I've mostly just been embarrassed by what my family would say, but this thread is really making me want to now!
I have a bait-ish Wavedancer (she's clean, but has several mold stains) and I've thought about taking her into the bath with me since I love Sea Ponies but have never seen one in action. What I'd really love is to take her to a pool, but that's the quickest way to lose friends I'm sure! :silly:

I have a bath plus shower. I always leave conditioner in their hair for a couple days. Love how it works on some frizzy ponies:) There is a ledge in this shower that does not get showered on, so they always stay up their when I am doing a spa day....so its a regular time period that there are ponies in the show with me....my husband has a hard time with it though:P

My bath tub is real deep so I would actually have to get in it with the ponies ot wash them! :lol:I cheat and sit at the sink to do their hair though! :P

Well, I've definitely had ponies who were already conditioned and ready to be rinsed, and when I was in the shower figured, "Why not rinse them now and set them out?" - And so I did.
Nothing weird... I mean... I don't think so.

I have certainly heard of people doing this. But no I cant say its something I have done before - if the ponies can have their personal spa time...then I think I ll have my personal spa time too :P

I've done it! I'm not sure how good it was for our drain, but I did it to help with a couple deflocks. They soaked in the shower with me, then I was able to scrape a lot of the flocking right off. >.<

I did bathe with them! As far as I could tell, I just needed to fix up their hair, so I didn't anticipate how dirty the water would get. Yech! I had to shower afterwards! And then the water got all cold and I wasn't done with the ponies yet... I thought it was going to be so fun, but it ended up being kind of miserable. Well, at least I got some clean ponies out of it!

Me!!! In my home I don't have a tub, but last winter at my parents' house, I did it many times. It's just so much easier than sitting over a bowl of water.

I think part of the reason I've never done it before is because I can't quite get over the idea of all those little eyes watching me while I'm naked... when I first started collecting especially it was awkward because I keep them in my room and they looked a little too happy to see me get dressed. :p
I actually had this conversation with a friend of mine who collects Warhammer nuns. He says it's the same kind of awkward, except instead of happy little pony faces, he has to be naked in front of angry nuns. :lmao:
Am I the only one who has ever felt that way?

Well... Nope I haven't done such a thing, and honestly, it really hadn't crossed my mind to do it. XD
Still I'm not sure I'd do it for two reasons. For one, I only wash those ponies that have just arrived (I don't really see any reason in cleaning a pony that's already been given a spa treatment and is now sitting on a shelf) and since I've no idea where they'd been and what their previous owners did to them, I'd feel rather grossed out to have them bathe with me. :P
That and I'm kinda worried of the weird looks my loved ones might give me for that. :P
Though for the record I used to take my childhood herd to bath when I was little - this is how my Tootie Tails got her tail rust. XD

I have never done that either. I cant remember if I did when I was a kid. Not really sure?

Nopes, they get a good scrubbin' right in the sink or outside when it's nice and warm out...

All the time, except I shower (get too bored sitting in a bath!) and the ponies are always decapitated before I get them wet if at all possible.

Yes I have taken a few in the shower that were very very dirty , one of them was scoops and wow the dirt came right now and the pony looks almost new.

I took G3 Alphabittle in the shower with me once so I could condition her mane while I showered. But she's the only pony. I also took my 2.0 Draculaura in so I could wash out her hair.

Proof! Bathtime at my house, lol! Should have posted this earlier as it's from a few weeks ago, but only just remembered I had it! I did have some more, of the birthflower ponies all lined up along the edge of the bath before their dunking, but they must be on my laptop 'cos I can't find them just now (they looked *so* cute too, like, "You want me to do WHAT???!!!) :lol:
