I personally have never seen one hosted since I've joined, but I have come to really love G3's well some of them :). Would anyone be interested in a G3 swap later on down the track? I can't host unfortunately because I'm petrified of it and I actually don't think I qualify either. I'd love to co-host though. ^.^
I think it would be an easy swap G3's are pretty easy to find and are cheap. Let me know what you think. :good:

Yeah I think it would be very easy too. ^.^ G3's are everywhere which means it would be easy to spoil our swap partners. I was thinking sometime in May..

I would definitely sign up! If we start in May we should have the shipping date after the fair. That way anyone going can get a bunch there. Just a thought.

Nice thing is I may already have some on hand for my partner. I'm a little swamped with G3s right now, though some really need a bath. And with flea market season just around the corner, who knows what I can find to add to this swap and make it every inexpensive.

Ah cool. Thank you. I was thinking a fairly long shopping time maybe 8 weeks that way if people have a bit of trouble finding something or they need to recover a little from the fair they can. ^.^

Well I'm going to be making shipping in July after the fair. So it's easier on everyone plus shipping can cost a fair bit so it gives everyone time to save.

That sounds good. :) I think I will join this swap for sure if it comes to be. Great thing about G3s is that they are much easier to find on eBay than G1s so even if I don't have what my partner wants on hand, there will be plenty at eBay. And maybe the flea markets.

Yep, I was thinking shipping would be July 15th to the 20th I know it would be a long swap, but I also know it creeps up on us fast.

There are no set rules, as it fluctuates on a swap-by-swap basis. It's up to the host how they want to handle newbies (allow them, allow some [limited number - usually grouped together], allow none) - it all depends on the host, swap, and such.
That's part of the reason ALL swaps now have to be reviewed and approved before taking sign-ups, so we can see the host's plans on allowing/not allowing newbies into the swap and what restrictions they have on (ie feedback, post counts, etc), and what their back-up plan is for any flakers.

I would LOVE to get in on this too! I've got a giant box of g3's that are all doubles of the ones I already have. Most of them are in great shape too, and I'd hate to bait them when there is no reason to! I have such a soft spot for the g3's... Count me in!!

Lady Starflower has asked about newbies and restrictions. Since she is the host it is ultimately her decision in whether we allow newbies and the requirements. ^.^

I was debating between this one and the girly swap, but I think I'm going with this. :) I just want some more G3s. There are some on my wishlist I want really bad.
May seems so far away though! I can't start shopping until then anyways. :P I'm excited about this swap, though.

DazzleKitty it will most likely be before May. I'm going over the guidelines and putting together a proposal for MOD approval shortly and we'll have sign ups soon. I'm thinking we start in April and have ship dates after the fair so it will allow a long buying time as I find that reduces a lot of stress.
I'm hoping to have sign ups this weekend or early next week, not set in stone but keep your eye out : )

Of Course I am in! I do not have a lot of swap experience, I have done one private swap and one Halloween swap, but I have wonderful reviews as far as buy/sell/trade! I pretty much still need quite a few common g3s, so this would be great! Yay to the G3!

If I qualify (seeing as I am still a bit of a noob, but I have eBay feedback as well) I am totally on board! I harbor a healthy love for G3's, seeing as they (and the G2's) were the ponies I grew up with. This sounds awesome. :)
