Sugar, that's such a pretty bird! Is it a parakeet? We had a parakeet that looked like that one years ago (it was not as bright as yours though) We named him Petey and called him Petey Parakeety, hehe :)

Is there any printing on these guys? I know I had that pink one but I threw them out (Why did I do that) They also had larger parent ponies and saddles, the parents even had winged saddles.

That's horrifying but you might end up with a pretty cool custom if you sculpted over the top.

Haha awesome!  I am thinking about keeping the big fakie...but the other two kinda bug me.  I might try to customize them and make them salvageable and less scary.  o.o  or does somebody want them for their herd?

Its just one of those centaur things...not really anything more than a fantasy toy.  I personally don't want any shimmers, but Kenner made toys are very collectible and worth something these days.

Oh wow, so that's what they look like with a properly cleaned body and decent hair. I've got 2 of those and I've been wanting to clean them and perhaps given them some new hair. That's definitively on the to do list now.

shadowdreamer: I´ve had them for as long as I can remember and they have all been very loved, so I´m thinking about rehairing them. I just need to find the proper tools. I was also thinking about maybe selling them, but I just can´t make up my mind.. Right now they are stored away in a box and that just doesn't feel right!

I was one of those kids who hated accessories, and they all still live in a giant bag! So their saddles came off as soon as i got them off their cards, but I still have them all! it there any way to tell what year  aproximatly for the chap meis ?

i have a few that i rember from the 90's   they have a hard body and are of decent quality
but then i have others  that are soft bodied  and of over all lower quality , im woundering if they are still 90's  made or  are they 00's or what?

I got my first chap mei from my sister when she came to visit in either the late nineties (in 1997) or 2000/2001, and I got the rest in the next two years after that. The low-quality ones came out after the symbol change, they all started to come out with the symbol on the pony on the right of my picture. Those really cruddy ones came out from the dollar shop suppliers, they didn't have babies, and they were similar to the DG fakies in that they were really low quality versions of a well-made toy.

Oh! I guess that answers my questions of where my saddle came from!  I have about 4 little saddles for the smaller ones, and I had one of those but blue like g2 Ivy, and it had a red saddle but with those glittery wings!
champ mai's oranganlly had saddles im looking for some for mine i dont have any for mine

 Oh my gosh! I had the blue one with the red necklace! I remember I used to get really upset when  her hair would come unbraided, so finally my mom just melted the ends together so it would not come undone when I played or when I went outside or something...I miss her, I will have her wings however.
