Hey everyone :)
I am trying to get back into customizing, and I need a new source of hair (as I assume it's still a problem to order from custompony.com?)
I was looking at Retrodolls.co.uk, but I can't find the length of the hair from there. I was looking at both the nylon MLP hair and the Saran Fantasty hair range as I love the colours there and I've always wanted to try Saran.
Any idea how long the skeins are?

I might be wrong but I believe they are 36''

JPP Did a length comparison between Retrodollsus and dollyhair. Retrodolls was significantly longer.

I'm not as familiar with the UK site, but the stuff I ordered so far was pretty standard in length, around 36".
Also, yes, it's not safe to order from CustomPony. I made that mistake two years ago... :(

I find it interesting that the custompony website is still up as it hasn't been active in years. I'm amazed the domain reigstration hasn't run out. Why keep paying for it at this point? Weird.

but the lenght specified for each type of hair, it is in the upper part of each section

The new nylon that they carry (the genuine mlp nylon) is longer than the 38" dollyhair hank - about 2 inches.

The green in the picture is the RetroDolls nylon in Gelenite (match for Sour Apple Martini) and the pink is Dollyhair Sugarberry. The hair is half of a hank folded in half. You can see that it is about an inch longer.
The other hairs i will let Shannon answer for you :) RDUS also carries 52" nylon which is just as soft and silky as the MLP nylon :)

I was concerned as on the website it says 2/3 packs are required to rehair a Sindy doll, or 3 packs for a vintage Sindy. I would have thought a Sindy would take less than a pony. Obviously not. Shows how much I know about dolls lol. Either that or the hair packs are different sizes for different types of dolls.
I think I will order some, I feel happier now I have an idea of their length. Thank you all :)

Welcome back to customizing. I will have a extra talk to enchantress tonight but I believe the hanks of hair are " Our hair comes in 38" hanks, weighs .6oz and is in one straight length (not in a circular hank). " As stated on RetroDolls.Us ( link: http://retrodollsus.weebly.com )

The majority of our hair is 36" in length, some of the new nylon colors are 38" such as gelignite, I'll have to go through and make a list for you. If the hair is any shorter, it will be stated in the description, and we do have some 52" nylon as well. :) If there is a certain color you need to know in the meantime, please send me a pm and I will get back to you ASAP.
