I've now done my very first tutorial video. Please let me know what you all think, and if there's anything else you'd like me to go over on it as well :3 I have some pictures I can add to this page too if you want more visual references.
This is also a sneak peek at my latest custom project :3

The tutorial seemed easy-to-follow once you watch it through. I only got tripped up when you put the mechanism back in the body (which way to face the hole), but you addressed that later (where I see it should be facing up, with the middle groove facing up too). My only "disappointment" was that we didn't get to see it in action at the end. ^.^ All-in-all, I enjoyed it! And you have a nice voice. :satisfied:

I haven't been able to think of a name for him yet sadly.
And I was going to show the action but it was very hard to see :(
I also discovered that his tail is longer or thicker than normal bng ponies cause it doesnt get as short llol

Looks good but your lighting throws shadows when you need to not have shadows. Might need to play with that.

Ah what is going on in the background after you have it together? It is a rather loud back ground noise.

I have poor lighting in my apartment sadly :(
and that noise would be my furnace -.- it's very loud and kicks on at random

hmm... I could see how that would be a problem. If you could find the tabs it might be repairable.. but I think replacing the cap would be the quickest solution if you can find someone with a spare mechanism

Probably so, I haven't touched the BnG since I really removed the mechanism... and the pink stripe in her main kind of.... faded after I forgot she was in my window for a while XD

Which pony is it? If I have an extra spare of the pony maybe you'd like to trade for one that works?

It's a BnG Ringlets that I bought to try and restore. I might just end up customizing her due to the 'rod shape' cancer she has on her. I'd still like to try and wore on her though despite that x:

next i thought the tutorial was great. very straight forward. kinda wish i had a BnG to take apart. though i'd need to see a tutorial about how to do that. i would like to see the pony in action once she's been reassembled. think that would be cool.

Would you have any quick tips on taking one apart? I just got me a broken princess, and I'd love to try what disassembling and reassembling would do on her fuction, but I'm dead afraid I might end up breaking her beyond repair if I just go and try something on my own. :blush:

yes tips on disassembly would be awesome. id love to know if theres a faster/easier way to do it than how ive been doing it... with an Xacto, steady hands, and patience. =P

Let me see what I can do about making a quick tutorial on taking them apart when I get home. Dealing with a swollen foot right noe, but maybe I can throw up a join me link so you guys can watch me take one apart live at some point. I know I have some pics though too, so we'll see what I'm up for tonight :)
