:lovey: Valentine's Day Art Contest! :lovey:
I am proud to announce this year's Arena Valentine's Day Art Contest!
This will be a fan-favorite competition. Entries will be voted on by the community, and there are prizes for the winners in each category!
The three categories of the Valentine's Day Art Contest include:
-G1 and G4 pony couples: exactly what it sounds like. A mixed-gen couple (any two ponies!)
-Pony wedding: This may be from wedding sets, G1 through G4.
-Chocolate!: Don't want to draw love? Draw something chocolate-themed; after all, it's the REAL reason behind the holiday!
-For each category, you are allowed to submit one piece. You may enter one piece in each category if you wish, or just one piece in one category, or one piece for a couple of them - however you wish, just one piece per category.
-All artwork must be original. Do not use vectors and/or line work which were not created by you, and do not trace other pieces. If we notice it, your piece is disqualified.
-As you probably already figured, your pieces should be Arena appropriate content-wise.
-Both traditional and digital pieces are accepted. No preference will be given for one media over the other.
-Submissions must be no less than 400x400 pixels, and no greater than 2000x2000. Please size accordingly. Save in a high enough resolution to give your work clarity, but not unnecessarily high to create a heavy, cumbersome file.
-Final submissions should be sent to me via PM by the deadline date. I will upload them to an online album, but I will not use them in any other way without your consent.
-Do not leak finished pieces before the submission deadline! You may post teasers if you wish, but don't give the whole image away. If in doubt, ask the contest organizer. Please put teasers under spoiler tags.
-Deadline for finished submissions is Wednesday, February 13th at 9:00 PM EST. Voting will begin immediately following the deadline and last until Sunday, February 17th at 9:00 PM EST. Members will cast a vote in each category and winners will be decided from these votes.
-Prizes will be distributed after votes are finalized (3 total winners - one from each category.) If you win, helping out with the shipping cost would be greatly appreciated, but it is not required. Teasers will be given for the prizes during the contest in order to pique your curiosity, but the winners will be the first to see their prizes.
I will go ahead and tell you that the prizes are custom ponies. XD
