Mexican ponies are sooooo htf in really good condition, but I managed to get both versions of Mexi Starflower at almost the same time about a month ago. The light version is from Ebay, and the dark one is a TP purchase. I'm *thrilled* with both of them!

I got Mexi Twilight from Cide's recent auction; she's lovely too. I've had the Perfume Puff Palace pony for a while now, but this is the first time I've posted her.

Edit: I just realized that all four of them have practically the same symbol! :P

I used to have a different Moondancer, but sold her when I got my other one as an upgrade (for only $25 ;) ). I used to have a Twilight with the dark purple streak as well, but sold her because of her haircut and whenever I looked at her I couldn't help but think of the fact that the seller waited about a month to send her and lied about it :yikes:
All that aside, of all of the Mexican ponies, I own the two I like the best :good:

Sorry, though if it makes you feel any better, I was already in communication with this seller via email about possibly buying her and some others. I bought my light version of Starflower from him not long ago, so he contacted me directly when he got a new batch. I'm not sure why he decided to list her (since I said I was interested). Maybe he thought he could get more money that way (which is fine; I wasn't exactly sure how to price her anyway). Or maybe it was just a language miscommunication.
Anyway, sorry my snipe upset you. But there will be more, probably sooner than you think; new Mexi's get posted pretty frequently. You'll get another chance.

oh gosh... I was just saying to someone the other day that I didn't think Mexican ponies were very pretty XD But after seeing some of these pictures, I might have to take those words back! (partially - I still have other favourite nirvanas :P)

Yes it's quite tough finding them in good condition. Here are some of my Mexicans. I just realized that I have two versions of baby blossom: a purple-eyed and a blue-eyed.

My Mexican Bowtie arrived today! :frolic:
I want to clean her up a bit before showing her off but here's a quick photo I took a short while ago which I thought was cute ;)
She's had a biiiiiig trip over here from Mexico, so she's had a wash to freshen up and now she's having a little air dry whilst checking out what a New Zealand backyard looks like ^.^

I would love to have some Mexi's someday. I'm only really interested in Bluebelle and Peachy, but I don't think I'll ever get them. I love seeing all the pics though.

It definitely was for these girls! Although I am of two minds on this issue as well, I bought an Argie Baby Posey with highlighter all over her mouth (she looked like the Joker) for VERY cheap (I think I paid something like $30 including shipping from Argentina). Using my restoration skills, I was able to remove 95% of the highlighter and do some rust cleaning, plus give her a tail replacement (I saved the old tail though, since it has the typical Argie washer, for any future buyer to swap back in if they prefer). She looks SO much better now, and it's kind of awesome to know I actually improved her value. I guess you have to weigh what flaws are dealbreakers, what flaws can be fixed without negatively impacting value (which is tricky for Nirvanas, e.g. rehairs, even for ponies with buzzcuts, can severely reduce value), and what you can realistically expect to be able to fix. For the Mexican girls, I always look for good hair first because that is hard to come by and hard to replace, then good eyes, and I'm a bit less picky about symbol condition than I am for some other Nirvanas. Applejack actually does have a small chunk of hair missing, but it's easily hidden in pictures.
I am a little more likely to wait and spend good $ on AJ and Bowtie variants in great condition personally, because my dream is to someday have every country's version(s) of them in displayable condition.
