So I was helping a friend (Also a big pony fan) Search through wallets and such at our local Hastings store for a new wallet before heading to go see the Hobbit....and I found these!

Freaking adorable! I love the twilight one!
Anyway, figured I would share and see if anyone else could find them!

Yeah, I'm annoyed that when you find something G4 that's cute it screams Brony. Can't we like MLP without having to label ourselves as a brony?

What's wrong with a happy Twilight Sparkle dancing around in glitter with "Love and Tolerance" in a heart around her? Why does she need to look like a cynical emo pouty tween?

They're cute but I got a lot of stuff to carry around, that wouldn't even hold 50% of the stuff I have in my wallet. It's probably okay for a dude, teen but I need more space than they have to offer.

I like the design work, but they're not for me. I avoid the Brony-tagged stuff because I don't like the way it's marketed. That, and I am a leatherworker. If I really want a wallet with a pony on it I should just make one.

I agree that some are adorable, but I do wish they were not marketed simply towards Bronies.

I love the Rainbow Dash one.
I got the hard-case wallet at Hot Topic that just has the mane 6, though.

That love and tolerate one is based on an image macro Bronies would use to anti-troll on image boards. Actually that one with Rainbow Dash is also based on an image macro. Bleh.

Bit too much "edgy" bronyness for my taste. I prefer the Vinyl/ Dash/ Zecora wallets that were released over at Toys R Us (or so i believe).

I freaking adore the Twilight one, except for that "love and tolerate" stuff on it! I wish they had made ones exactly like that, but without the words on it. The colours on that wallet are so cute.

I do identify as a brony, so the tag doesn't bother me, but I also think that these wallets are aimed at men possibly, because there are two girls hinge wallets out right now, that aren't labeled brony, and are sold at Hot Topic.

Very cute finds! I certainly am enjoying that you can find pony items in such random locations. I cant imagine a comic book shop carrying anything pony a few years ago. :)

That's the one I have! I love it.
I adore this wallet. I used to have a Sailor Moon one in the same style, but it started to wear down, so when I saw this on EQD, I rushed to order it. :P

I agree. Us female collectors find of feel unwelcomed, or at least I do.

They look like they were made with images just ripped from the web, lots of shops seem to be doing it now. Its a shame that people are going to unknowingly buy bootlegged stuff.

The things I have that are marketed as brony usually have the hasbro copyrights and trademarks on them, even if they don't have the logo. IE: Socks/brony bracelet/etc.

I understand, yeah, I used to see a lot of things like these in Chinatown, I had a Miku wallet that looked similar, but I think these ones are actually licensed. :P
...(I miss Chinatown, would like to move back to NY someday. *grump*)

Well, as a female, i can say i don't let crap bother me. And the "Brony" label doesn't bug me either, but i guess mostly because i think it's cute. To me, people who hate it are usually mirror images of the 'bronies' who hate all G1 fans. It's always old vs. new, writers and artists change with the times (like everything), get over it. x3
Anyhoo, that aside they're neat wallets. Obviously geared toward a certain set of people (College/high school/ etc...) but then again, most of this MLP stuff is anyway. Because that's who watches the show, buys the stuff, and is interested in the product hasbro puts out. Simple as that. It's all marketing, and they're catching on how to do it. Research popular media (internet) and alter your product accordingly. Instant sales. It's not like Hasbro's going out of it's way to piss people off. Why would they? >>;

Well, i have nothing to get over since i'm not really worked up over anything. I was just looking up things and saw people bickering over wallets lol. To me pony-fans and bronies are the same thing, just different names. There's fanatics on both sides n' what not. So... yeah. Still don't see a need for so much fire. xD

Now who's upset...jeebus...I just thought the wallets were cute and those who enjoyed things like that would like them. Apparently I should have removed them from the packaging before taking a picture. :silly:
Anyway, I actually like all pony generations myself, I think the brony tag is cute and not really for boys or girls, it's just the name of a fandom really. G3 is actually my favorite XD. I think you guys are stressing too much over labels and such...Such drama, almost seems like a certain pony showed up XDDD.
