Title: Intro
Post by: marlinree on December 21, 2012, 05:29:54 PM
Hi everyone!

My name is Marguerite. I'm 32 and live in Washington state (originally from Oregon).

I actually don't have any MLPs right now...though I do have a real "pony" named Sedona.
I do have some of the FIM comics.

As a child I played with both MLP and Breyer horses A LOT! The MLPs may still be at my parents house in boxes in the garage (if they haven't been sent to Goodwill). I had the show stable with Lemon Drop and also had the castle with Majesty and Spike. Firefly and Seashell look very familiar to me as well. While looking on the web at MLP guides today I realized that I had the "original" My Pretty Pony too. Later on I also had a few of the petite ponies.

Anyway, I recently somehow came across the G4 blind bags and am quite interested in starting a collection. I do love collecting things!  Probably going to start my collection by pre-ordering a box of wave 7 with my monthly comic pre-orders.

Hope everyone is having a nice holiday season!

:newpony: and welcome to the Arena.  Did you do any model showing with your Breyers or just collected em?  I am hoping to pre-order wave 7 too, love the odd ones.

Hi!!! Welcome!
I'm in Oregon but there are a lot of Washington people here and we have a 'meet' in 2013 too (I think I have a link on my signature). I'm 35 and have some breyers and lots of ponies (but up until 2 years ago I only had Breyers :) ), if you need any info just send me a PM :) So glad to have you here :)

Hi and welcome! I am from Oregon as well. I can't wait for you to start collecting. It's always a joy to start a new collection of something you love.

You were so lucky to have Dream Castle when you were younger! I wanted that so badly but never got it - until about 2 years ago when I bought it for myself as an adult :lookround:

I hope you enjoy the forums :frolic:

Thanks for all the welcomes!

Diamond - While I did subscribe to Just About Horses for a little while back in the 90s, I never actually got into showing Breyers. Just played with them at first (my older ones are all very worn and a couple "died" aka broke ) and then collected as a teenager.

Salli - Sounds like a fun time I'll have to keep that in mind.

Lobstersnail - I've been a "collector" for as long as I can remember, be it dog and horse figurines, books/magazines, seashells, or even just unusual rocks. These days I collect TV show dvds and comics. Even daydreaming about starting a collection is fun!  :)

Kiwimlp - Yours is probably more complete than mine is though! That is IF my mom didn't give it away!

I am a big collector as well. Of everything. My biggest collection being buttons. They don't take up much space so it's easy for them to multiply hahaha.  :yikes:

Thanks, that's Ciaran when he was a puppy. Today is his 8th birthday!

Milo looks super sweet! I love Dachshunds!
