It is nice to see a bit of 'Summer' in the middle of Winter :D
This is 'Summer Dreams', a merpony made for Flutter_Valley.
Summer Dreams is part of a set of Season merponies Flutter_Valley asked me to make her after she saw my 'Winter Dream' Merpony here: http://lovelauraland.deviantart.com/art/Summer-Dreams-341792567?ga_submit_new=10%253A1354979050#/d4ro9ve

and I will be making 'Autumn' soon.
Summer Dreams has had her back legs removed, she has a sculpted mermaid tail with a film and wire fin.
I have re-rooted her in blue heat changing saran hair from Melanie at www.retrodolls.co.uk, thank you Melanie :) it changes to a pearly white colour when heat is added, the blue is a lovely matt and looks beautiful against the shiny saran yellow a lovely contrast not only in colour- I have placed her hair up into a bun and she has hand made paper flowers dotted across her head and around her tail.
Her tails has been painted in blue and metallic green and given a coat of varnish to make it shine.
I have re-painted her eyes in shades of green and added hand painted flowers around her face and legs.

Oh lord, this is stunning (as always)! The color scheme is gorgeous! If this one had been up for sale, she would definitely have been coming home with me. :)

She is simply perfect and a wonderful present for my mammy she is going to love her ...she arrived today laura and is sitting with winter dream and spring dream hiding behind Fantasia and Phantom so my mam cant see her till xmas moring thank you so much for making them for me laura there all perfect and a special thank you for making my desgins come true fantasia and phantom :biggrin:
Summer is so magical and looks enchanting next to her sisters of the seasons cant wait for autumn and i do have another two special desgins to show you only this time ...i trued my hand at merponies cant wait to show you them too

I gotta say, this is the first mer-pony I've seen that's given me for-real grabbyhands. Normally, though the sculpting and painting I've seen on folks' mer-ponies is GORGEOUS, I just prefer the big, long, floofy tails with hair.
This one, though. Ohhhhhhhh, she's lovely. Just lovely. I think my boy ponies would sit and listen to her sing all day long.
