I'd rather have to keep their feet on the ground than them practically falling back because of how the stands are structured now. Added to the fact all the stands I seem to get are defective and the pole doesn't stay in the base :<

the ghouls alive boxes are just... guh. Love them.
As for stands, I'd love sattle style stands. I always cringe putting my girls on the current stands because of how harsh that C-clip can be on the clothes. Especially my ghouilies in their new designer gowns... ouch.
I'd like to see nude compariosns of jinas torso and the other girls... she does look more blessed from those pictures though, haha.

Does Jinafire fit in the other MH outfits ok? I'd think with her bigger chest, she wouldn't be able to wear the same tops and dresses as the other dolls. A lot of the MH clothes I have are really tight and hard to get on normal MH dolls, so I can't see how they'd fit her.

That's how I intentionally collect usually, once new things comes out, I try to get them early, then once I have everything, I can relax and save up until the next batch of ghouls. I'm horrible with waiting, anytime I see new stuff starts to become distributed I get all wired up and start calling stores and checking for new stuff obsessivly until I find it. Then I find everything and get it all at once and find myself waiting impatiently until new stuff comes out. Its a vicious collecting cycle lol. My poor husband has to listen to me talk about how badly I want the new dolls every day until I finally find them once I hear other people have begun seeing them in stores. I'm just like a child!

Is it the ice girls lips that are off on her face? Or is it something else? Something doesn't look right about her face..For me, it looks like she has a big nose, as well as her jaw/chin shape and her wig. Who knows, maybe if that wig is taken off, she'll look a lot better.

Also, I found an almost complete GB Draculaura and a nude but broken 1st edition Frankie in the 10 cent bin at the thrift store! Score! DL needed one lower arm and hand and Frankie needed both arms and hands. I just bought them from mattel and was totally shocked that they charge shipping of $4.95! Hasbro doesn't... it's built into the cost. :huh: So I spent $12.95 to put tiny pieces on 2 dolls. I could have a new one for that! -_-

Found Skelita at TRU, but no Jinafire. :cry: They had at least six or eight Skelita's, but only two of them had good paint jobs. I noticed on the back of Skelita's box they had "covered up" part of her age. I remember reading here that typo that Skelita's age originally said she was 15 "scales" old? So, sorry if I wasn't clear before, but if I were to make her Russian, I'd call her Drag/konova (or even Drag/koneva), whereas if I were to make her Croation (sorry, Groanation), then I'd call her Drag/konovic.

In the small city where I go to college at, there's four Super Walmarts, one Target, one TRU, and one Justice. We have a few local grocery stores, though. xD

I'm pretty sure there aren't many other states doing it, though.
Three states to be exact: Maine, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island. Law's been around for a while, least in this state, and does cover more than just Black Friday. I remember seeing the notices last year to not get in line for early openings. Personally, I love it. I think it's just greedy business practice to keep opening earlier and earlier, especially when it bleeds into a major holiday. Black Friday itself has become a near holiday of it's own, there's no reason it needs to encroach onto Thanksgiving. I feel sorry for all the employees at these places who are forced to reschedule, or maybe even miss, their dinner just because their employers think they'll be raking in more money.
Alright, I'll stop before I start ranting. Just wanted to toss that out there...suppose I should mention the figures to get this back on track...

having worked it for ten years i've had knives/guns drawn on me ... threats that they were going to hunt my family down and kill them ... i had a lady punch me ... we had two guys get in a fight one year and knock over an entire AISLE ... like the entire 30 foot long, 12 foot high SHELVING UNIT ... a crazy ichtbay one year came into the store with mace and just randomly sprayed employees with it ... it is AWFUL! and just so people think they are getting some freakin awesome deal that they can usually get at a different time too :\ ... that's the one thing i'm glad of ... that i realized most deals will get better towards christmas ... and the REAL deals the stores only have like 2 or 3 of the item ...

Shopping is pretty low key here surprisingly. At least the toy shopping has been. I'm not gonna lie, when they unwrapped the bedding every person just about lost it. I have never seen people so amped up for bedding! It was rather entertaining.My sister was looking at ads this afternoon and was excited over bedding as well. I attributed it to the fact that she was hiding a bottle of rum in her purse and was probably a bit tipsy, but I guess it could just be a love of high thread count bed-in-a-bag sets.

I stood in the cold for 4 1/2 hours and no Scaris. Well at least I found a 3 eyed ghoul set so I can use her wig for my skelly girl. I was one of the first few people in the aisle and it don't look like there were any in the first place.Bummer!
I asked a worker who was actually only on his third day working there if there were any other dolls than the ones on the shelves and he went to check in the back for me. He walked back out and to me they were completely out of MH dolls and told me about how they restocked on Tuesday but nothing since aside from some Skull Shores and Rollermaze dolls. I don't understand why they stocked on Tuesday anyway and not tonight.. Oh well. At least it was a mostly pleasant experience for my first doorbusting Black Friday. :blush:Eddie said they didn't get a truck at all since Tuesday, and they didn't get any MH on that truck, so whatever they had out was it for the store. He did tell me he's willing to pick things up for you if it's a payday and we've got cash :)

SO TRUE! ..So many nice vintage/art toys on ebay ATM + I thought I was done with ponies and had switched over to MH, but when I saw the favorites collection for sale on TRU I just could not resist. I'm pretty sure it's a different box. :D Pretty sure last time I saw Basic Clawdeen in stores (the one with the clawed hands instead of the "normie" ones), she was in the original box design.

And it makes me angry for buying them at raised prices after I thought they were off the shelves for good.I'm not too bothered that Clawdeen's getting a re-release since a lot of people missed out on her (even with last year's Black Friday deal at Walmart.) I got her when she first came out, and back then she was harder to find in my area, along with everyone that wasn't the Cleo/Deuce set. I'm happy she is getting released again so people have a shot at getting her now. I do see how it's a bummer for the ones that bought her online when she wasn't being found in stores anymore, though. :(

This is what happened at my Wal-Mart, I saw the people walking away with cartS full of the dolls, and by the time I got over there, they had already broken down the pallet. :( I didn't have a chance, and neither did the poor parents that wanted them for their kids. :(
I also heard somewhere that these dolls were only for Black Friday, and they don't plan on doing another wave of them. Has anyone else heard this?
Maybe Mattel tried to do some fashions that were less glaringly obvious to belong to any certain character.

Reselling anything *is* a job - these people have to drive around their area daily to multiple stores, to buy things before everyone else does, photograph it and post it all online, and when it sells to impatient people, they need to pack and ship the items. They need to research what items are out, and they need to know which items are going to have the highest demand and are going to sell fastest.
In a situation like that, it makes more sense seeing it from the other side. I guess me saying that was way over the line, and may have seemed rude, which I apologies. The economy sucks and no one is hiring for full time help. And as someone who lives in a house of 5 adults and is the only one with secure, full time employment, I can completely understand why people would resell toys like this. I wasn't a collector myself, I'd consider doing the same thing, especially considering that my husband's unemployment benefits run out next week and no one else in the house gets any benefits and we'll be in serious danger of spending the winter in our vehicles.

Luckily, we have $300 in Kohl's cash from Black Friday so maybe I will get DOTD Lagoona instead (I am limiting myself to one version of each girl).
Here's a couple of interesting things I've seen down here in southern England:
* A Tescos had four 2.0 Lagoonas. Four! But no other signatures. I think they may be getting cases of just her.
* And in Toys'R'Us I saw a DDG Operetta with no tattoo on her arm. Both pieces of her arm too, upper and lower. It was missing entirely. Not sure how that one slipped through quality control.

Ghoul's Alive Clawdeen (and Frankie, she's a separate video on their channel) review! http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=vZOAra3fvakI think the reviewer did a good job, but I agree that the dolls are underwhelming. They didn't appeal to me much in the first place, though.
Cam is a little shaky, and I warn that the Frankie has a strobe like effect. I.. am so underwhelmed it isn't even funny...

I was brushing out my Venus' hair and apparently there's this kink in her hair. I tried to photograph it, which turned out quite pretty (not what I planned to do). But does anyone know what I could do to make it normal again? I'm too scared of playing with water considering her fuzzy hair on the side.Boil some water, then get a comb and dip it in the water and run it through her hair. Repeat until the kink is gone. That should do the trick without exposing her flocking to getting wet (as I discovered, even steam is enough to make the flocking come off).

I think $15 is extremely fair. ST I believe are around $20-22 in stores. I'm not sure about GR, around the same maybe? Unless they came from TRU which is usually priced higher.

The MH shelves were stuffed but not with anyone I wanted. TRU had all the Picture Day dolls and while it was neat to see them up close I don't want any of them.
In regards to Scaris, they had Clawdeen, Frankie, and a lone Rochelle with some serious aesthetic issues. No Skelita and no Jinafire. I only want Jinafire. The hunt continues...

I just wanted to say that I really love the detailing on these things, I always find myself smiling at the little Easter eggs the designers put into them.That's a really beautiful way of looking at it, I had no idea she had that printed there. That's a really lovely thought, and makes me kinda like her a bit more. So sad :'( But beautiful too!
I just opened my Skelita and, while washing her hair, noticed that printed on her scalp, just under her ponytail, is the name "KATRINA." I thought it was a nice touch, since it's traditional to write the name of a deceased loved one on a sugar skull, and I suppose this was meant to be the character's name in life? I wonder if she may also be meant as a tribute to someone close to the designer, Natalie Villegas?

I've been hearing of people running into three separate assortments. One of them is lacking Skelita and Jinafire both unfortunately, though it may have to do with Frankie, Clawdeen, and Rochelle just being easier for the factories to assemble in a pinch, since I'm sure they have plenty of parts for them in reserve.

Nice! I have found that the fastest way to dry their hair is to stick them on top of the dehumidifier for a few minutes. It's ridiculous how fast it is, but I guess it makes sense since the air that's coming out of the dehumidifier is super-dry.
I usually just let their hair air dry or put them outside if it's warm... Which it definitely isn't here lately. XD

One option I used before I discovered the magic of the dehumidifier was to put them under my desk lamp. It's got a halogen bulb, so it gets pretty hot. It is perhaps not as quick as a hair dryer, but it's a lot quieter! LOL.
Funny you mention that! My grandpa use to have a humidifier. Because it's so cold over here the heater is on very often. So the air is quite dry indoors!I wish the inside of my house was dry! It is always humid in Auckland, and while it is often quite cool temperature-wise so you don't really notice, it does mean that things are always a bit damp and everything ends up getting mold on it. Especially in the winter time. Most houses in New Zealand were built really badly with little to no insulation and that, so it's a pretty common problem. There are solutions, but we can't really do much since we're renting. We just have to spend lots on firewood and electricity to keep warm and dry in the winter. And then we have to put up with flies in the summer to keep things cool because Kiwis don't seem to know about screens ... Anyway ...

As much as I like her "eco punk" theme in theory, her outfit just wasn't doing it for me, but I've had such a hard time finding an alternative. And while I hate those little vine things she wears, she looks wrong to me if I take them off. I wish they'd been molded on like the ones on the backs of her hands. Anyway ... I'm going to try cutting her hair next to see if that helps any. I wish they'd given her a proper mohawk to go along with her shaved head.

I have at least 8 dolls that need styling, and I can't get motivated knowing that they'll just be piled up. The only new doll that's gotten fixed up is Jinifire; Veni Vidi Dolli sent her to me as an early Christmas gift. I was just too excited to leave her undone!
How did this happen??? I somehow have nine dolls, two more on the way (11), and then plans to buy at least two more dolls (possibly three so 13-14)! I really need to figure out how to display them all. I think I need more stands and shelf space...

For some odd reason, whenever I have display space issues I think of you :lol: I always wonder "What does crimson DO with all this stuff???" And SunnieBunnie too for that matter! I'm starting to wonder if having them all is a good idea or not. I don't think I expected it to be this bad (with releases.) I figured a few lines a year or so. I loved the release rate when they first hit stores. Plenty of time between lines to shop, save money, style the dolls I bought. Heck, even had time to bond with them :rolleyes:

In regards to the Dance Class dolls, I don't know about the others but I impulse bought Lagoona from Amazon when she dropped to a reasonable price. Her hair is just awful! I like her outfit so I'm keeping that but the doll is for sale if anyone is interested. I hope someone would be interested in practicing rehairing on her or something.I had this same problem.. I had the cutest encounter yesterday! I was out to eat with a friend and noticed the little girl leaving at the table next to me was carrying Venus, Spectra and Robecca. I complimented her on her dolls to which she warily replied thank you, but as soon as I told her Venus was my favorite she perked right up and told me Robecca was hers! So cute :biggrin:
is it just me or when the dolls are on there stand does is seem like there kinda "leaning back?" A little bit?It's not just you! Unless I have my dolls facing straight ahead they look like they're tilting back because of how the stand is. It bothers the hell outta me, no matter how I pose them I can't get them to not look like that. Least it works with how I have Robecca posed.. she looks like she's gonna take off or something xD. Also doesn't help I seem to get the broken stands where the pole never fits in the base right...

I wish I had anyone around me that likes MH.. My mom, partner and friends are all supportive of my collecting but only one of them has any sort of interest in them as well... And she lives in Florida.. :(I have one local friend that likes MH and MLP... Agree somuch about the voice! I think she sounds too much like Abbey.. Especially with them both having so very strong accents. I think Robecca and Rochelle should've switched voice actressesUh-huh, I really think Robecca and Rochelle would be better off switching voices.

Nope no dance class dolls or scaris here. I have seen the picture day dolls but not much else.
Cleo is my fav girl. Scaris Clawdeen and DT Clawdeen are my fav dolls right now.

Last time I ever looked at my ponies was when I was putting Trixie, Heartstrings, Sunny Rays and Cherry Berry away into my drawer where I kept my ponies and that was a month ago I think.

Also, Scaris Ghoulia is gorgeous. She is so going to kick classroom Ghoulia's butt outta my collection. I love Ghoulia as a character, but I don't like very many of her doll iterations. I have signature and classroom, and I've been considering ditching the latter for a while now. But Scaris Ghoulia is awesome. I must have her.

I was able to scrounge up $15.30 and just went back to Justice, in hopes that I would find the basic dolls now.... and I did! Unfortunately, Deuce was already gone. I had a hard time deciding between the three girls, since I want them all, but I ultimately ended up coming home with Abbey. She's so pretty. :heart:

I found all the Ghouls Alive dolls today. I was not impressed by Clawdeen at all, but I liked Frankie and Spectra okay. I was going to get a Spectra, but all the dolls either had broken legs or receding hair line, so I passed on all of them. At $27.99 (TRU), I expect a lot better quality control than that. I literally looked at 8-10 Spectra, and every single one had a major issue. 4 had legs broken off at the knee, and the rest had awful hair.Wow. That's really bad. I wasn't planning on getting the Ghouls Alive dolls anyway, but even so ... that's just ... ugh! The quality ought to be *improving*, not getting worse!

I'd ordered a Howleen that's to be part of a custom set I'm making as a Christmas present, and then nabbed one girl for myself a few days ago. Thought I'd get one extra for a just in case kind of deal, and it gave me an error message and changed the quantity to '0'.
Now, I'm wondering if it's just a per account thing or per address thing. I tested it out and with Howleen and Robecca it sent me to the page asking what address I wanted to ship to, but when I put Operetta in my cart, who I've never purchased before, I was sent directly to the checkout page where it had my primary address already.
I do think it's very cool that they have it set up so scalpers can't come in and buy up everything, but I just thought I'd let you know for anyone who has multiple collectors in their house/buys for people on the comm.

I would love this Lagoona if her top didn't look like pink jellyfish...a little goofy looking considering how nice the rest looks. It is weird to see her without freckles.

On a related note, when I was at the supermarket yesterday, I discovered a notice on the baby formula shelf saying there due to people buying up vast quantities of formula to sell overseas, it was making it hard for the locals to get any, so the store was imposing a limit on the number of formula cans you could buy (can't remember if it was one or two though).

I don't think I really like her, the picture day dolls in general havent been my favorites.I kinda like her a bit more than the others, but I am with you - I have been thoroughly underwhelmed by the PD line so far (which is a good thing, as far as my wallet and shelf space are concerned).
She's already available in the UK, for £15.99 so she's quite cheap!
I think that what really makes PD Lagoona look less appealing to me is her awkward pose. Like pukunui mentioned, she's shot from a weird angle. And her pose is not dynamic; both her arms are up, palms facing her. Add in the lack of freckles (I really hope that's a prototype mistake) and she just looks off.
I'm also a bit disappointed in her outfit. It's what's become a typical Lagoona thing; something really interesting and fun (I love the seahorse/fishbone print of her dress) and then muck it up with something really random (that weird yellow tulle netting on the hem). Also, if they wanted to go with a top layer, it needs to be a little longer. Right now, it hits right at the clam shells, and it just looks bulky. And why does she have one deep red earring? It doesn't go with anything else, and it doesn't even have a proper contrast color. Sort of like her DDG outfit, with the random marigold colored purse.
I absolutely love Lagoona as a doll and as a character. And I'm thrilled that they included her. I just wish whoever has been designing her outfits had either a better grasp of fashion, or better inspiration for an athletic hippie chick. I haven't loved a Lagoona outfit since summer 2011, when we got 2.0 and Mad Science.

Yeah the China dolls have little to no glue in their heads! From what I've seen, the big box dolls all come from Indonesia and then the cheaper lines (Roller Maze, Skull Shores, Dance Class, etc.) come from China.
There are some exceptions, like B&W Skull Shores Frankie came from Indonesia as did the 5-Pack, but it seems to be the general rule that all the slim box ones are from China. I dehaired a DC Howleen today and she didn't have glue in her head.

I finally scored Scaris Deuce from Amazon. I've missed all the alerts today so I was stalking him.
My GB Frankie is from Indonesia. And my signature & DDG Spectras as well as signature Draculaura are all from China.

I like that the dolls in the PD line have leggings.. with the exception of Draculaura. I LOVE LEGGINGS!! I feel like between the PD and Scaris lines Mattel did a fairly good job of dressing the dolls a bit more "mature" looking. Not that I had an issue with the clothing from past lines though.... I like it all :blush:

Ah, people who take it for granted that there's a craft store nearby XDDo you mean like a rainbow iridescent/"oil slick" effect? If it's any consolation, I have loads of craft stores nearby and have still had zero luck imitating the effect. I was looking for a way to restore the finish on G1 twinkle eyes :(

The Wal-Mart on Touhy didn't have anything nor did the Target. :/ The Wal-Mart that's out on Golf Rd. next to the TRU is where I found the Scaris dolls. For some reason I thought this Wal-Mart was in a different suburb. ^^; When I left this morning there was still Jinafire, Skelita, Clawdeen and Frankie left. They also had some PD Abby and Draculaura.
The TRU up there has been getting Scaris but I've only seen Clawdeen but they did have some Ghoul's Alive dolls. So far all the Targets I've been to haven't stocked anything new.

Success! I managed to find two Scaris Deuce at my Justice! One for me, and one for Veni Vidi Doli. Ravie, if I spot another, I'll pick him up for you (at cost, not scalpy prices lol). Sadly, they only had the slim line, which I'm currently holding off on. I suspect we'll get a five pack with Cleo and Lagoona down the road. Of course, I may end up breaking down and getting them anyway, but I'm not worried about them disappearing forever in a matter of months. Heck, a lot of places still have SS!
I ended up hitting TRU as well, but they mostly had old stuff, Ghouls Alive (ugh) and lots of PD. I picked up the only Spectra because she had a nice face (which seems to be rare). I'll wait to get the others at Target after the holiday season. My current mantra is " better to give than receive", and I still have Christmas shopping to do.

Have those of you that have been finding Deuce been finding him with lots of flaws, or any of the other basic Scaris dolls for that matter? I am doing a MH trade and I bought 3 Deuces (one for my trader, an extra and one for me) and they all had flaws. One had paint missing on his eyebrows and a smeary weepy looking eye, the second had a big piece of plastic sticking out of his elbow joint along with a wonky eye and the third had a spot on one of his eyes that kind of trailed. I have also heard of some other quality problems with them. My Abbey was fine but I haven't opened any of the Ghoulias or my Draculaura.
I think I just recruited two more people to this fandom.
Two of my brony friends came to visit me all the way from Wales, a girl and a guy. We went to TRU to find ponies, as there isn't one for miles where they live, and on passing the Monster High aisle, my female friend piped up "Is it weird that I like these dolls?". I had no idea she even knew what they were, so I said "When we get back to my house you can see the ones I have, I have about 40 of them."
The look of glee on her face was priceless.
After that we spent more time looking at the MH aisle than the pony one, and when we got home both my friends brushed doll hair and swapped doll outifts for hours. My female friend decided that she absolutley needs 4 dolls (only four, I told her that's how we all start); Toralei, Spectra, SS Frankie and Cupid. Even my guy friend admitted that Cleo was 'fabulous' and he loved her style and colours, and wanted one for himself, and a Spectra for his mum. It was a great day, and I loved seeing my collection being enjoyed.

They can make many different head molds of many ghouls, yet they can't make a head mold that replaces a nose with deep nose hole indents. :PIt wouldn't have to be a deep indent. Most of the dolls have indents in their ears, and the three-eyed ghoul has a third eye molded into her forehead (rather than just printed on). I reckon they could've done it.
Then again, possible chance that having holes made in the head if they made indents for nostrils. >,<; (My hypothesis)
I guess it wouldn't, but looking inside hard enough you could probably see the head anchor or how the hair is rooted from the inside or something. :P Or better yet, ewww glue seepage out the nose!! Though I must say it's a tiny bit odd/funny that she has rib boobs. Sure, they're trying to maintain the overall look of the figures, but it's still a bit of a quirk. UGH! I really want Lagoona's Swim Uniform, but I really don't want to spend almost $25 (after shipping) on it on Amazon and I can't find one on EBay. I need a second one to keep in box and I've been kicking myself for a long time for not picking up an extra one.

Considering retail cost is close to half that, I would say no. People charge ridiculous prices because people are willing to pay them. So ultimately it comes down to whether or not it's worth it to you. I'd rather have them later, personally, and not pay such ridiculous prices. You could get almost the entire deluxe Scaris line for what you'd pay just for the two. Just my 2 cents since you asked. ^^
How much is shipping to your country from the US? Over $50 is a lot for two dolls who will most likely be plentiful after the holidays. If shipping isn't exorbitant, it might be worth waiting and seeing if a member here can get them for you.
Tiffoes: I know it's 'easier' for us to stomach the scalper prices sometimes, because MH is ridiculously expensive in Europe.. (I expect the deluxe dolls to be around €35 - €40 when they come out.... :c), but I still would not pay that to an US seller. First b/c you might get screwed in customs and second, as others have said, after the holidays they will pretty much be plentiful, since that line is based on a movie, and by then you should get them for closer to, or even at retail around here. :)
( and yup, at retail it is even cheaper to buy from the US, even when factoring n s&h ^^; )
ETA: I just understood that it's a durch seller.. however, I'd still wait it out and not pay that amount. ;>

They do work exactly like a credit card, except once it is empty, you have to add more money. If some place asks for a credit card, you can give them a visa prepaid number and be just fine
As close as they are to your grasp, don't overpay for it. >,<; If they're able to find them and sell them, you'll be able to find them too. (At long as you're able to go searching constantly. >,<)

I know I've seen pics of MH dolls with their nails painted before, I was just wondering like what kind of paint to use and whether I should seal it, and if so with what and any other tips would be appreciated as well.

Congrats raye! I just saw all of the Ghouls Alive dolls at TRU yesterday. My daughter really liked Spectra. I'm not sure if for the price it would be worth it to get her one or not and how long they would last with repitious buttom pushing lol

I NEVER find things this early in the release cycle, I'm amazed! So I got my scaris Ghoulia and am a very happy camper. She is SO my new favorite. She's soooo pretty!

I was surprised at the difference between PD and Signature. My Signature has cloudy transparent limbs. Picture Day's limbs are very clear. PD is made in Indonesia and Sig and DDG [and GA] were made in China.

I used to do that all the time with CDs when I was younger. I'd stop listening to something and decide I wasn't ever going to listen to it again, so I'd sell it (which wasn't really worth it, to be honest) and often come to regret it some years down the road. This was before the advent of CD ripping software.

The arms have an odd shape due to the bones, but I have had no problems with posing her
Tiffoes- Skelita is poseable like other dolls. Her knee joints are a little stiff when she's first bought but after moving them a couple of times they become easier to move. Because of the material they used her with her joints are just a little more stiff to move then other dolls in my opinion, but it doesn't effect the way she is able to be posed.

Seriously no Scaris at TRU, Walmart or Target. :shocked: Either they haven't gotten in new Stock or if they do it goes really fast. The shelves here have been mostly empty with nothing new....for a couple weeks now. Of course minus the TRU exception with those two other lines.

My Walmart was devoid of MH.. just the same tired old stuff they always have... the only thing different was a random case of Sweet 1600 stuff, which annoys the hell outta me... not even PD stuff...

You think stuff doesn't sell because you keep the same old stuff on the shelf! Stop making the section smaller, and start ordering in the new stuff and make the section bigger!"
My walmart has a section that is wide enough for one doll, and one of the big long boxes containing various kits or sets or variety doll sets. So you go in and there is one facing of dolls, one facing of CAMs, and then the individual dolls and expansion cams hanging on like, 4 pegs. Then other assorted stuff like coloring things, and costumes, and headphones and such. It's pretty lame.

This is my frustration with my Target. They haven't gotten Monster High dolls in in forever. So as not to have an empty shelf, they've started spilling the LaDeeDa Dolls over to the MH section.... so LDD gets about a 1/4 or more of the whole aisle. How does this make sense? "Oh this doll sits on the shelf, let's send them more of it!"

I found them.....the band of her purse are piano keys, the purple dress has treble clefts and music notes throughout the design (and the five line staff is also present on the purple dress its just stylizied to look like curlicues...and im guessing thats what they intend the white lines across the black skiet to be as well). her earrings as mentioned are stylized treble clefts, as is her face mask, there,s a small red treble cleff on her sweater......umm...and I think I'm forgetting one or two that I spotted. They are there, it's just hard to see unless you have the pictures super zoomed :)

Argghhh, so, my husband stopped at the Walmart about 15 minutes away and checked the MH section he said they were stocked with Scaris dolls. Including Jinafire!! And he didn't call me to tell me, instead he waited until he got home. Here's the downside, we just got a mega snow storm the other day and the roads are dreadful.. doesn't sound like he wants to drive me back to buy anything :(

Ever since my mom passed away my aunt, who is really young, has cared for my little sister and I as if we are her own childeren. Today she came to visit again, and pick up her daughter who was playing over at our house. She told me she was buying christmas presents for my sister and I:
''You are like my own daughters, so I feel you should be treated just like my own kids! You're each going to get a present or more under the Christmas tree and I don't care about the cost!''
Later on, they revealed to me she was looking for a lot of Monster High stuff online. No wonder she was asking me all these questions about the dolls earlier! She's such a sweetheart for lighting up this great time of year that's now quite dark without the presence of my mom.
I feel silly for saying this because they're just dolls but it really feels like the Christmas spirit is finally returning to my family!

Gosh, sounds like my family, after my grandma passed, they all split up and no-one talks (except a few exceptional members)

Thank you so much! It's going to be tough for sure, considering this is my first Christmas without my mom ever. But for now it sure is going quite nice! I hope all of my family members will come together at my grandma's place again to celebrate Christmas. They haven't done that for years because the family sort of fell apart.

I'm just annoyed with the lack of stands. I do not get why they release some dollls with, and some dolls without. Like the roller maze are a "basic" doll and come with stands, but the basic scaris dolls don't.... it's just obnoxious. I want to be able to display my dolls but I'm running out of stands!

I need... somewhere between 10-15 stands as well :( And it's so frustrating that Mattel's excuse is that they are crying to keep costs down. Which is totally why the dolls are coming with fewer accessories and accessories that aren't painted when the prices are going UP.

But prices haven't actually gone up. Some stores charge more (I'm looking at you TOYS R US!), but Mattel's suggested prices are still the same.

They look just like MH stands and they're fairly cheap but not sure if they'll actually fit MH. I should just get some anyway :P

I have those stands for my Catwalk Kitties Dolls. They aren't bad but pretty flimsy compared to the actual monster high stands. they would fit monster high but are probably better for barbie waists. But if all else fails they would work

Phew that was hard work...I was offline for a while last week and it's taken until today to catch up on this thread - you guys move fast!!!
Those fashion packs look amazing. I don't remember seeing any fashion packs for sale in the UK though :( This makes me sad :(
However on the plus side I appear to have slightly more cash in my bank than I thought, strange but true, I swear I had a bill for it or something but, no. On Sunday I am going to my Mums for her Xmas day. There is a huge Asda and a huge Sainsburies...I will only have time to go to one though, so what ghouls have been found in which shops? I need to make the right decision here as to what shop to go into...I'm looking for Skellita, Jinafire, Scaris Clawdeen, and would like to see in person the other Scaris dolls...

I detinseled both my Cleo 2.0 and Nefera. Neither were particularly bad (Nefera took a long time though!). Not nearly as bad as I imagine Abbey would be! The gold tinsel tears out rather easily, and Cleo never actually has a tonne of it to begin with.

CRAP! Anyone who owns her want to confirm that she has the old hand mold? If so, would anyone be interested in a trade? Old mold hands for new mold hands? I can't go back to her old mold! I CAN'T! (I don't have the doll yet, but I will. I'd like to start looking for a trade partner now though!)
My Walmart restocked Picture Day dolls and I finally got to see and get Spectra! She is pretty! That left one Draculaura. They also finally got Scaris it seems and apparently Jinafire is not very popular (here)? There were two of her and one Clawdeen left.That's pretty interesting to hear Jinafire's not popular in your area. Maybe the people that want her aren't aware she's there yet? Either way, it's lucky for the people that get to Walmart and see her there! :D
Well, my Walmart finally got the Picture Day dolls. They had just one Spectra (with a really bad faceup) and tons of Abbey & Draculaura. Not one Cleo. Is she the short-packed doll of the case, or is she just super popular? The Target down the street only had PD Draculaura. So I'm guessing she's the least popular of the PD assortment.I think Cleo is the short-packed doll, and/or at least the Picture Day doll people want the most. I wanna say that there are more Abbeys and Draculauras per case, going by how many more of those two I've seen in the stores compared to PD Spectra and Cleo.

I was at my TRU earlier, and there were A LOT of the Ghouls Alive dolls. Considering how late in the day it was, I was surprised that many were still on the shelves. I'm guessing either they just restocked that morning, or not a lot of kids in my area want the GA ghouls and prefer Scaris (there were about four Clawdeens and two Frankies there).
I'm sure this has been mentioned before, but is anyone having issues with Jina's tail? Mine refuses to keep it in her butt. :mad:
I knew Clawdeen got a hand redesign to add her claws and I knew Lagoona has those weird hands on her 2.0 version, but I didn't know any others had multiple hand molds. Anyone have any pics that show the difference in Cleo's hands? I'm curious to see what the difference is.
What I'm wondering is: Do these streaks happen fresh from the factories when they are in the boxes during shipping OR when they're just sitting on the shelves after the paint has dried and everything possibly smearing from people shelving them or dropping them??

As for scaris, Jina hasn't been released over here, but Clawdeen is in abundance, and Skellita is a little rarer and more sought after.... Clawdeen is currently in stock on TRU.co.uk for £16.99 I think, maybe more? Skellita has been out of stock for a loonnng time. Jinafire is currently only being found in the USA. As for ASDA and Sainsburys, my local sainsburys has just got RM and GR in, so it's not exactly newly released ghouls to be honest, they're a little slow! Haven't checked my local ASDAs yet though, last time it was stocked to the plenty with SS Ghoulia, they're like the plague! XD Good to have you back birthday gal! :lovey:
