My boyfriend loves chocolate, so i try to get chocolate from different countries to suprise him at christmas. ;)
Would you mind sending me some of the best/interesting/funniest/... chocolate to represent your country?
In exchange, i offer Artwork. traditional with watercolors or digital, ether would be send to you.
you can ask for every kind of character, aslong as it fits to the forum-guidelines.
i am also willing to give some of the madeline stuff out early or make custom noticebooks. ;)

Besides chocolate, he really likes coffee and caramell. He tries to avoid bitter chocolate, tought. ( he just mentioned he doesn´t like coffee-flavor in anthing else but coffee!! O:O)
Chocolatery baked goods as cookies are great too!
he is often represented by a crab, but chocolate crabs are hard to come by, right?

This is such a cute idea! Would you be interested in chocolate from different parts of the US? In Colorado, we have The Rocky Mountain Chocolate Co that makes amazing chocolate... And most states will have chocolate with state flags, photos, etc. in their state gift shops.

Chocolate and China don't mix well! But if you want some weird stuff just let me know! We have some "ancient chinese money" shaped chocolates as well as some national brands that mix chocolate with red beans, tea, ...

There is a actually a quite famous local hand-made chocolate shop in Seattle (well two really but I am thinking of Theo's chocolate which is the best!) - they ave all kinds of crazy flavors- so maybe you could give me an idea of what you would be interested in :D

and recently he eats these little waffle cookies, dipped in chocolate, do you know what i mean?
he often gets representet as a little crab, so if you come by something like that, feel free to include it. ^^
the persona i made him is a chocolate colored gal with black hair and a little crab as a symbol and his name is "chocolate warning" . i try to post pictures of him later!

oh, and maybe i have to mention that his birthday is on the 26th of december. thats the first day after christmas when i´ll be seeing him, so his christmas presents are also birthday presents too. ;)

I could totally hook you up with some chocolate from Australia, we have some pretty original stuff over here, and I can get my hands on some New Zealand choccie as well. If you're still interested in chocolate from the US, here in California we're pretty much the home to the all-American made chocolate brand of Ghirardelli :) I don't know how easy it is to find elsewhere, but as it originated here in CA just thought I'd offer to see if you're interested. There's all kinds of flavors and fillings, especially around the holidays ^.^

Great! :accomplished: Yesterday I asked my bf and he told me that here in Spain we have a very traditional brand from the XIX; they stop producing after the Civil War but when the market recovered they started producing again with the same old recipe. He says that's pretty good, so probably today I'll be able to get you some :happy:
Also, here in Spain we have something very similar to the chocolate M&M, it's called Lacasitos. I personally prefer them to the international brand, I wonder if you'd be interested as well :what:

Perfect! :good: I'd get some Lacasitos too, and I'll look for something more that might be traditional here; I'd just discovered that the turrón is from Spain! You might know it, it's a type of candy traditionally eaten at Christmas in Spain, I think it's called nougat candy in other countries but I think that they are variants. All the supermarkets are flooded with turrón yet and there are some very traditional brands that make it :)
I'd be glad to see your artwork here to get ideas, I don't want to ask for too much! (I'm an artist too so I know how much time & effort it can take) :art:

Awesome :) I am not too sure about LOTR choccie, coming up to Christmas, I may be able to find something though, sometimes they release little box sets and such for different movie / character related stuff like that with choccie.
And yes, you will get a chance to draw my persona if I can find you something that the partner would like ;)

well I know the US isnt the most well known for its chocolate xD but I could grab some local Cherry chocolate if he might like that kinda things (i live in the cherry capital) xD so you can pretty much find literally anything flavored like cherry. the chocolate is actually pretty good and made on the spot at this little fudge shop haha.

I'd be happy to help out on the NZ chocolate front, I bought a bit for the Christmas swap but I' decided not to participate in it. Does he like peanut butter? We have this AMAZING new peanut butter flavoured one, I've probably eaten about 6 big blocks of it since it was released :blush: its delicious, there's also a new white chocolate & raspberry flavour its a tad sweet but pretty scrummy too.

my favorite part are the colors and the gold-paint, ohh, yess, you can´t work with gold in digital works, nooo.

But yea, frankly I've been so busy lately that I haven't started gathering the chocolates yet. Btw, when should the sweets be in the mail... do you have some sorta 'at latest' date? :D (not saying it would take me several weeks, lol, but just to be on the safe side :))

I escaped from my cave today (work and home) and had an outing to the supermarket for juice, so picked up what I could get my hands on with choccie. Still have more to get, which I will grab as I see it.

Hey, hey I found you a chocolate! I'm also in California and Inky grabbed the ghirardelli's so I didn't think there was much I could do to help you. But today in the grocery store I saw the Amy's brand organic chocolates. I actually got to test these about a year and a half ago when they were developing them as my old job was bidding to make the labels for them. Anyway they are from California and organic to boot so I grabbed you a chocolate "chewy" bar :good:

i just finished two more pictures, but i want to get a bunch more done and post them together. also i would like to ask to do more digital comissions for people who just want to send a bit. (nothing against it!) Any way you choose, i promise, on every picture, i put my heart in it. ^^
and some news:
i haven´t seen him for a while now, because he refuses that i could come over but he promised to visit me today for a few hours.
why is that? well, my birthday is on the 7th and last year he take a gigantic amout of his time to build me a turret from the game portal. i was totally blasted away, it even could light up!! (if you don´t know the game, it has pretty good humor and the turrets got fabulous characters of them selves.)
now, everyone is asking me what he´s building now, AND I HAVE NO CLUE! O_Ov
it drives me nuts, a little bit,.. XD
but anyway, it gives me more time to work on your stuff, i guess. ;)

They are not widely known, but those who live in one of the distribution states knows how wonderful her chocolates are. In my opinion it is better than Godiva and the other big name popular chocolates.

well, most of you might know that his "mascot" is a little crabby with a tophat. (at least i always give him the hat, because he is a sir, he just likes the crabs ;) )

inky milk hasn´t given her okay for this so far and i got really late, because my drawing tablet went dffshufsiouhdAIOFIOU. yes.
she gave me a really nice story about her persona, inkling, and thundelane being a pair, but since he trains for being one of lunas guards, they only can meet at night. he doesn´t always understands her magic and she isn´t a fan of flying since she is afraid of heights, but both working on it. *o* fighting for each others!

the three kings! and it is even the 6th today! happy "three magic kings" day! caspar, melchior and baltasar are very popular in germany too. kids go from house to house, sing and bless the house you´re living in. (if you want to XD ) and take donationsfor the church. also, the 6th is usually the day when you put the christmas decoration back and the tree away.

I have not so good news for my package. I just got a call from Hong Kong customs, they check all outgoing mail for threats, outgoing antique items and such and seems like my tube of chocolate condensed milk looked suspicious so they tore my box open. They proposed to toss it all in a bag and send it back to me :( I hope nothing will get lost!
As soon as it reaches me back I'll add the extras I found meanwhile minus any liquids and send it back to you. So sorry about that :( it's already the second time local post makes me angry! Previous time it took 3 month for an item to arrive and I got a neg on eBay -_-

his parents took some of the chocolate too (of course, he shares XD) his dad loved the "jaffas" and his mom always sneaked in to steal a bit of the "see´s" bars. ;)

in the glass on the left are acrylic colors, then next to it a big cup for tea. other you see: my pencilcase, already finished pictures, post-its, lots of pens and cute stuff near my monitor, and, of course, references!
the thing left to the picture is a water brush, you fill the tank with water and it works great with aquarell-colors! it´s from pentel, i highly recommend it!

Whee! It made it! I'm so happy the box arrived! I had tracking number (I kept it secret :p) and I could see it had arrived in germany for like 4 days and was wondering if german customs were considering eating it instead of delivering it :/

oh my god, i did all these on my laptop and now looking at them from my computer with the good monitor, holy ballony, the colors have a huge difference!! O:O
sorry, please tell me if you want it to be changed! i guess changing it to moe hue in a grafic-programm will help on this.
