Alrighty :D
So, I am looking into becoming a street performer as a living statue.
I believe I have the pieces themselves picked out, but I am a little torn on color.
For the main parts, I am going with something in the white/cream family.
I am torn on the corset though.
My inspiration wears all white with a gold and ivory mask. (I want to mention that my outfit will look very different, so I will not be stealing their look)
At first I wanted to do gold, but I am concerned that it will blow the look and give it away that I am not a statue.
Now I am leaning towards all white, but with a pattern or texture on the corset.
Ultimately, it would be a white top, white patterned corset, then a white overskirt and a white underskirt, and white hose.
I would like a mask, but I don't know if I want it to be white or gold or what. I know you can have a little color and have it still be a convinceing statue (because I have seen it) but I can not fully wrap my head around why it works in a mask, but not a corset.
(also, we are talking about a colombina style venetian mask)
Finally, I am not sure what to do about my hair. I could tie it back and powder it or straighten and gel the crap out of it, then powder.
I would also paint my face and hands white.
Any ideas, questions, suggestions?

if the gold it a solid enough it shouldn't give it away as many ancient statues were inlaid with gold so gold on the mask of gold trim should work well

Then would a white and gold brocade corset work? Mostly white with tiny gold accents?

I wouldn't think so. A touch of gold seems like it could be awesome!

I agree with a white corset with gold accents or a little gold in the fabric.

can you do white with brushed gold? Drybrush it on so you get a small hit of it but its not going to be 'gold'.
