Title: What would you like to see out of the g4 line?

I want to know what you would like to see Hasbro sell as far as the 4th gen go?


I for one would like to see sets of themed ponies. Not like the brides maid ponies but like holiday themed ponies.

I'd like the same, like Thunderbolts or Royal Guards or any "episode contextual" brushable pairings like BBs 3 packs are...well sort of are besides forced M6 ponies.

Like those $20 Star Wars scene sets or maybe some $12 MLP comic packs with the new comic on the way.

Also more "fashion styles". I know they rarely sell, but 11 characters in 3 years is weak. Who wouldn't buy an FS Zecora?

I would like to see Rainbow Dash, Rarity and Fluttershy with molded manes and tails to match the Twilight, Pinkie and Applejack that came in the gift set. I love my brushables but I would just like to have the Mane 6 more show accurate. I also would like to see a better Spike figure as the one available just doesn't look right with him being on all fours. Finally I would like a brushables size :muffin: Pony. Even if they have to name her Ditzy Doo or Bubbles or whatever.

I like the ideas everyone else has thrown out here so far (I'd love to have an official complete set of mane 6 3" molded figures + BB's of Luna's royal guards!) but mostly I'm with Mosspath- more unique brush-ables, they're still my favourite part of the G4 line. I'm getting so sick of pink though :\  More shades of orange, green, purple, blue, cream, brown, heck, any colour but PINK! I love pink, but the colour overwhelms my G4 herd. Needs moar green :U

I'd like to see an unnamed, derp-eyed, playful sized :muffin: Pony. Unnamed because if they call her :muffin: Pony some will be offended, and if they call her Ditzy many would be disappointed. And, little girls could give her a unique name, and everyone loves imagination! And, bronies would get Hasbro much more money than they'd lose on not making a blind bag ^^
In other words, everyone would be happy :D

I want more brushables!  I do love G4, don't get me wrong, but I feel as though it's not even MLP anymore, because there's such a bigger focus on everything else BUT brushables (i.e. playsets, plushies, blind bags) .  I don't care if the colours are show accurate (and this is coming from a big fan of the show), I really don't get why people are so obsessed with that and would give up brushables (what MLP used to be all about) to have "show accurate" anything.  Whatever, I'm not in charge.  But anyway, I just would love any sort of brushables that aren't the same 6 ponies!

Winter/Spring/Summer/Autumn ponies
More playsets!
More boy ponies.
Less Pinklestia. (not that I have a problem with her)

Anything that isn't more the Mane Six would make me happy. Well, I'd be okay if they were those translucent ones... but I'd like to see more characters from the show. I liked the wave with Trixie in it because they all appeared in the show, and half of them were big fan favourites, and the other half were less known but still cute ones. Also, I really, really want G1 to G4 ponies! Give me Faust's G1 Mane Six please!

I would also like some more pose molds though I guess their size makes that a little awkward maybe?
I don't really care about show accurate brushies but I wouldn't mine proper bangs on Apple, Rainbow, and Twi. Just because i'd feel so bad about cutting them that I'd have to buy two to make up for styling one.
I would also like unique box are for the brushies not just recolours of the mane 6.


As much as I love bronies they are the issue with these g4 Hasbro is trying to please them and the little girls which results in less brushies and the ones we do have being pink.

For some reason i imagine G5 as tiny, fully molded, pointy-nosed, HUGE eyed, short legged, standing pose ponies that fall apart if you touch them (Due to poor quality)
But what i want before that is brushables! Poses! Boys! Size! And please... No more show accuracy ;;

Boys! Half the population of Canterlot are boys and the only one we have is Armor. (Brushables please)

I like the show characters, I think they'd do well with those.

More characters and poses in general for both brushables AND FS size.

I like that they made NMMoon, I hope they make more 'villains' for better play scenarios and collecting as well.

And for crying out LOUD! Stop making Celestia PINK!!  :argh:

Minty has never been released. A handful (less than 10?) showed up on Taobao and they were bought up and now sell for big money. It remains to be seen if Hasbro releases her officially somewhere down the line...

More poses, more characters.
Characters that actually had some design put into them and not just some random background ponies from the show.
Not a very popular opinion, but i think most background ponies look painfully boring.

Edit: @Malicieuse - actually I agree - personally I find ponies like Feathermay and Blossomforth much cuter and more imaginative than even Lyra or Trixie. I guess monotone ponies make sense for the cartoon but the actual toy designers have more imagination.

i would like them to not make so many target and tru exclusive :P so the rest of the world can get them easier
and not so many blind bags and see more nice brushables instead (THAT ARE NOT THE MAIN SIX)

More Characters! Keep them coming! :)
I'd like to see a real castle playset. Something better than the wedding one. Like a big dollhouse like castle for displaying :)
G4 Newborn Cutie brushables! They'd look so cute in my heard!
BOYS!!!! Please please please hasbro bring me more boy ponies for my girls.

I'd also like to see a my little pony themed video game for the Wii where I can take care of ponies, and help them out and what not. Maybe start my own ranch and collect characters or something? Thought that would be interesting :)

Oh and of course Merponies! <3

I'll echo what others have already said:

More unique brushables, holiday ponies, more boys and how about babies/kids with actual symbols/cutie marks?  :)

As long as I'm at it, I'd like to see a new set of TAF ponies and princess ponies (g1 style.). :)

Personally I'd love to see some seaponies! I'd also like to see some fullsize figures of the villains or other species besides pony. A Discord or Chrysalis figure would be great.

I want boy ponies for sure! As many as possible!

Better playsets, give us something as good as Dream Castle, The Kitchen or Lullaby Nursery from G1! The current school playset is awful! Look at the great playsets you get with Lil' Woodzeez and Sylvanian Families, give us something like that for G4 ponies! A well designed Cloudsdale playset, or Ponyville Library would be awesome!

More variety in the brushables, less of the Mane 6 and lots more other characters in every color, I'm bored of the majority being pink. Make more blind bag designs into brushies!

Themed pony sets such as a set of 4 Halloween ponies with a translucent ghost pony, a vampire pony, a werewolf pony and a witch pony

More villains! Give us brushable versions of King Sombra, Queen Chrysalis, Diamond Tiara etc..

Sea Ponies!

Fabric fashions! Give us wizard, cowboy, dragon, fairy, pirate, knight, princess costumes etc..

Show accurate pets, for example - give Pinkie Pie Gummy the alligator instead of the hedgehog, and the same for the other ponies.

Make some classic ponies in G4 style, like Surprise, Magic Star, Lemon Drop, Wind Whistler, Medley, Barnacle, Tex, Clover etc.

Ponywear! Lately, I've been looking at G1 ponywear, and loving it. G4 needs that. Those silly capes/dresses they have now don't count Xp

Echoing a lot of what other people have said:

* GREEN ponies please! (Specifically Minty!)
* More white ponies
* Better variety of brushables (ie, not the main 6)
* Less accessories with the brushables. All I want is a brush darn it!
* Fillies that don't come in ginormous sets. Just singles!
* Manes that are more than just one or two colors.
* Did I mention more green ponies?  ;)

I'd love more variety in the brushables (not just the Main 6), boy ponies, more foals, different species, more of Luna, and I would absolutely love it if they made more plushies, especially of Big Macintosh, Luna, Celestia, and Cadence!

More poses, more show-accurate ponies, and more ponies besides just the Mane 6!!

ETA: Something like the old Horseshoe Points program would be cool, too...

I want foals of different sizes like they had in G1. I have four different babes, and if I remember right, they're all slightly different in height and anatomy than the others! I'd also like some different shapes for the adult ponies. Fleur, Snips, Snails, and others prove that ponies can look very, very different!

Brushable Minty, of course. Actually, Fashion Style Minty anypony? :)

I could die happy if they made an autumn pony! I'd love it if she had an orange body and red, yellow, and brown hair, or any variation of that, and had green eyes to reflect the green leaves they had once been. I'd have so much fun styling her hair :D

For me, I just like new pony things, and I like it when they use their imagination :) I trust them to make cool things! Though, I'd like to see less so-soft newborns, a girl only needs so many babies and not very many of the adults collect them (I know some of you do, but they don't seem to be high on the collector's list)

Since to me at least, the biggest "not show accurate" thing about the brushable line is them being brushable.

Wow - this is an interesting way to look at it and what a switch!

At the start of G4 a lot of the newer fandom shouted for show accuracy which as you say was essentially completely moulded ponies and that seems to have pretty much have been or getting delivered through blind bags and Funko.

Now we are all shouting for HB to pretty much deliver what MLP is about - brushable ponies in different characters. How dramatically the line has changed!

I have to say that I really love the idea of baby ponies with appearing/disappearing symbols that Sanadaookami suggested. I've always thought a possible multipack of the 6 main characters as babies would also be cute. It would at least mix things up mold-wise if they have to include them in yet another set, and the proper molds already exist after all. :)

I'm not sure if it's possible (perhaps if they tweaked the names a bit) but I'd also love to see a collector's set of the G1 characters (Twilight, Posey, Applejack, Sparkler, Surprise, Firefly) Lauren Faust initially had in mind to use in FIM before they were redesigned, or even a tribute set in G4 style of the original 6 (Cotton Candy, Blossom, Bluebelle, Butterscotch, Snuzzle, Minty). A return of Birthflower/Birthstone ponies and a proper mold finally surfacing for blindbag-sized Fluttershy would also be nice.

Mostly echoing what many have already said though, more brushables, more boys, new poses/new eye indents for headsculpts, a return to hair bangs, and holiday ponies are all things I would like to see. Double-sided cutie marks is also a wish, but since they haven't been that way for years now, I won't hold my breath. ;)

*ahem*  Okay, I would like, in brushable form, more of the actual ponies, background and otherwise, as seen in FiM.  Like they've finally gotten around to the Favourites Collection, and the wave of ponies that included Lyra, Trixie, Cherry Berry and Sunny Rays?  It's just really boring to go to TRU and Wal-Mart and see endless displays of the Mane 6, the Mane 6, and nothing but the Mane 6 - now with different trinkets, but still just the Mane 6!  I keep harping for Flim and Flam especially, :whistle:, but brushables of any of the following characters would be fantastic:  Mayor Mare, Big Macintosh, Granny Smith, Mr. & Mrs. Cake (and think how kyoot their babies would be?), Fancy Pants, Fleur de Lys, Snips, Snails, Diamond Tiara, Filthy Rich, any of the Wonderbolts, and so on and so on down to Dolphin Dreams and Joe the Canterlot Donut Shop owner.  I would think it'd be tremendously fertile ground for the toymakers - the designs are all extant, just waiting to be implemented in toy form.  And I do tend to remember the old toy-tie-in cartoons of the eighties, too, when you'd have new characters introduced each season, and those toys would be available in the shops pretty much by holiday time.  So one might be forgiven for thinking it shouldn't be that much of a rocket-science issue for Hasbro. :shrug:

Anyway...  As far as the blindbag ponies go, I'm loving them so far - it's at least a sop to the fans who'd love to see their favourites in toy form.  And the molded ponies are okay, but meh... I guess I just really want a return to the halcyon days of G1, when there could be upwards of seventy brushable ponies (if you count twins as two ponies each) introduced in a year. :biggrin:  Oh well... :lol:

I like everyone's ideas here.

Alrighty, here is what I want:

Blind Bag Size - No complaints here, love them
Fashion Style - More different ones, not the same main 6
                      - Wave 2 ponies like Lily Blossom and Cheerilee in particular
Regular Brushables - No more main 6 unless Hasbro is going to do something interesting with them
                                - More characters! Any characters at this point would make me happy. I would love to see
                                  a) More beautiful/creative ponies like Lily Blossom, Blossomforth, and Feathermay
                                  b) Translate some of those great blind bag designs into brushables (especially boys)
                                  c)  More show ponies. I absolutely loved the TRU collectors set, Lyra, Trixie, etc. They were all super cute, and didn't seem like the normal barrage of pink we are used to (well, except Cherry Berry :P, but even she was a unique shade of pink). Those show inspired ponies brought a lot of bright colours with them that I would love to see more of: wonderful yellows, greens, and blues.
                                  d) Scented ponies!

Brushable sets - A heroes and villains set
        - Pony families or siblings, like the apple family, Rarity with Sweetie Belle, Twilight's family

I could write ideas all night, but I think I will stop there for now.

More brushables than the Mane Six, and better quality control.  Some of the stuff that they put on the shelves is just ridiculous.  Also, better names.  Seriously, some of them are just lame (Starbeam Twinkle and Twilight Velvet come to mind...).
