Title: Stop Following Updated Topics
Post by: gabumon on October 26, 2012, 08:52:23 AM
Hay!

I don't know how many of you use the "Show new replies to your posts." feature, but I'm addicted to it!

However, I wonder ... is there a way, in that feature, to stop following threads?   For example I posted once in a thread, but I'd like to remove it off the "updated topics" list now.

Thanks.

It is a wonderful feature isn't it  :)

But all you need to do is go to either the top of the thread or the bottom and look for the "Unnotify" button.  Click and Viola! No more updates.

Hope that helped!

Right!

The ones I'm seeing don't say "Unnotify"; they still say "Notify".  I think the "Updated Topics" feature includes the topics if you've posted once in the thread, even if you didn't use the "Notify" feature.

It's not a big thing, maybe you can't turn this type of thread tracking off.  Just wondered if it's possible.

Gotcha! I misunderstood

If you go under your Profile and click on Notifications you should be able to manage it there.

Do you mean the "Show unread posts since last visit." and "Show new replies to your posts." links at the top of the page? Then no, those are automatically generated lists by the site itself.

Otherwise, try what Ponylady has suggested.
