Title: We bought one of the NYC Pony Project Ponies!!!

My boyfriend and I went to the NYC Pony Project pop up today. There were about 20 or so beautiful ponies there, and in some crazy moment of brilliance or insanity we purchased one. I am not sure how it happened but she was so pretty, and it was once in a lifetime, and my wonderful boyfriend Dave was supporting the purchase.
I thought I would get a t-shirt but ended up with a project pony!

Gaaaaaa!!!! Isent she beautiful! I am so excited for her. She is soooo amazing, and so much more beautiful in person! She is staying at the Pony Project until it finishes tomorrow, and then the staff will deliver her in all her glory. I will take more pictures of her then!

And when we purchased her they also gave Dave and I each a goodie bag. Here is some of the stuff that was in it. I am not really into any G3 things outside of some of art. But the Manager lady told us that the Applejack cards are really collelctable.

Like I said I am not really into G3 stuff so anything anyone can tell me anything PC related that would be helpful. I think I will be selling most of it. Possibly as a lot.
We have two Applejack cards, 2 ponies, 2 iPhone headphone plug in decorations, 2 packs of collector cards, and two coupons for discounted FIM Wedding DVDs at the Comic Con booth (too bad we dont have tickets  :( ).

The G4 Applejack card was recently an exclusive at one of the cons.  Some of the recent ebay auctions it ended around $115. (But overall, as low as $60, and as high as $200).

Hmm? There's no G3 in your pic, only G4.

Congrats, though! That pony is one of my faves that I've seen so far on their facebook. I think I'm going Monday. I'd rather go tomorrow, but I'm too sore from NYCC.

Congrats on her and the other ponies. I am pretty sure you mean the G4 ponies.  The one you bought is a G3.  :)

I would love to see better shots of the one in the far left of the third photo. Looks cool!

Congrats on your awesome Pony Project pony! They're OOAK and stunningly beautiful. If I were there and had the money the to spend, I would have bought one too!

Way cool, Ponytails was going and asked me to come but sadly I could not because of work.  I am sad we missed it, they look awesome!  Some year I need to get one of those blanks to play with.

How big are the ponies exactly? They look enormous to me!

How big are the ponies exactly? They look enormous to me!

It says they are 18" tall.  Is it just me or does it seem that that Glue All Pony is a reference to horses going to the glue factory?  That is the first thing that came to mind when I saw that pony and I think that is an awful choice for an art pony. 

Your guys' pony is very pretty.  What did the prices range on these art ponies?  Did the artists price them?  I haven't really followed the pony project much but this is cool.  I love that you got the elusive G4 AJ Enterplay cards in your goody-bags..."sneaks off with one".

That's so cool! How much did she set you back? With what the cards in the goodie bags are worth you can offset selling those versus buying her!

I don't have an iPod but those lil' plug ins are so cute. I hope The Pony Project comes here some year.

Wow! Congrats what an amazing girl to add to your collection and she looks absolutely gorgeous!

Oh gosh yes if I was you I would ebay those AJ trading cards as they will be a nice contribution towards the purchase price of your new girl - just do an ebay ended auction search for AppleJack Canterlot Gardens Trading Card. They are not the most expensive of the group but even $60-80 each would be good.

I hadn't even thought of that! I didn't like the glue pony just because its not my taste, but my boyfriend thought it was really creative and cool. I never even thought about the glue factory thing, and now thinking about it I really don't like that at all.

Where is the pic of the iPod plug ins?  I guess I am not seeing them.

Oh and what's with the G4 characters in the display?  What's in the boxes in front of them?  It looks like they are displaying hair accessories and the boxes almost look like they have makeup in them.

They're a company that makes hair styling product. They are coming out with pony fashion accessories in March 2013. There's hair clips, extensions, hair dye, all pony related.

I think the "Glue Pony" was a political statement. Very creepy and sad to look at but thats what good art is....it makes a statement and causes you to express feelings either negative or positive.
