Title: Challenge 10 - Puis-je avoir cette fleur, s'il vous plaît?

Before we begin, please give a warm welcome to our judges!


visitors can't see pics , please register or login



Welcome, final four! For non-French speakers, the title of this challenge is 'May I have that flower, please?' This challenge we're taking it to the streets of Scaris and posing with, you guessed it, flowers! All finalists must submit at least two of their best shots. This challenge is open to interpretation, so any sort of shots and any sort of flowers are acceptable. (Please resize your photos if they are too large).

Submissions are due midnight October 10th. Good luck, and may the best ghoul win.

It's actually a pony-sized hat (made by kanthaka's mom) but it looks more like a shower cap on Janice! (It's made of a flowery type of material).

this is the first time I've ordered something for this competition, so I REALLY hope it arrives on time. It was shipped the day after I paid, so it should make it... I'd better get working on a backup plan!

Also, looking at my schedule... this looks like it's going to be a one day challenge for me. I have free time from 5:30 until midnight on the 10th. Yikes!

I am so unspeakable pissed at my mail carrier right now. He/she thinks "delivery confirmation" means "you have to come to the post office and sign for this". So my items that should have been delivered today are now sitting at the post office and because monday is a holdiay I can't get them until tuesday. RARGH.

My mail carrier does the exact same thing and it drives me bonkers. I thought only packages needing a signature required you to accept the package in person! It's especially bad when I get the notice on a Monday or Tuesday and I have to wait until my day off on Saturday to get it. I really should just start having important packages sent to my place of work. At the same time, I'm always worried that there will be pony or doll stickers on them!

95% of the time my packages are just left under the mailboxes in the lobby. And that's totally fine with me. It's a locked building, and the managers office is right there, and what the heck are my neighbors going to do with the kind of things I order? XD

Hey now, Kalma is all for it. It's not her fault that her puppetmaster has grown up responsibilities. She's contented herself with digging through the wardrobe bin for now trying to pick out an outfit while she waits.

After all, it's not like Kalma is the only one who has other things get in the way of the contest. For Kalma it's my full time job and full time grad school - for the judges it's Tuney's hot dates ;)

Arg. Worked a 12 hour day today, got home a while after 8 and took care of dinner and pets and then homework. THEN I did my setup, picked out clothes, and got ready to take pictures around 10... only to find out my camera battery was dead. So I started my photoshoot around 11:15 X_X Needless to say, I ran out of time big time when it came to picture selection and editing, but we made it in under the deadline. And that's what it's all about! In the modeling world, anything can happen, and you still have to make deadlines. PHEW.

The judges' goal is to have it posted late tomorrow evening. This challenge Nigel's critique will be absent as our resident gargoyle has some personal issues to sort out at home AKA his wife caught him cheating with Kate Moss...

*GASP* Well I suppose it was natural, Ivy likes to creep up stone and kate just can't keep those leafy tendrils off Nigel's hard stone...err.....self
