Title: Playsets that should be (or should have been)
Post by: LadyMoondancer on October 01, 2012, 09:02:43 PM
What playsets--from any generation--would you like to see / have seen made?

For me . . .

MIDNIGHT CASTLE.   No brainer, right?  Put in some trapdoors, put in a little "prison cell", and of course have Tirak's throne room (with exclusive Tirak toy).   Also a secret passage, like the one the sea ponies showed to the ponies.

KIMONO'S CAVE.  According to G3 lore, Kimono lives in a cave outside of town.  A cave?  Heck yes.  Give her a pet bat and have little lanterns strung up through it and also soft cushions for her to sit on.  Maybe a water feature, like a little pond or stream outside it.

CANTERLOT CASTLE.  They haven't made this yet, right?  Except for the cardboard one.  Well, forget cardboard, I want to see a big ol' plastic castle, like the size of the 2nd G3 castle.  Have two bedrooms (one for Luna, one for Celestia), a throne room, a banquet hall, etc.  Also have three jumping hoops as a callback to the Dream Castle playset.

I don't know why Celestia and Luna would have jumping hoops, maybe Celestia feels she needs to watch her figure or something. Ha.

Canterlot Castle would put Paradise Estates to shame! I would GLADLY dish out $100+ for a HUGE castle.

I always ALWAYS wanted a sea pony playset. :(

I also think the Mushrump would have been hours of fun!

Well, as a librarian, I would love to have Twilight's tree library.  I would totally take it to work and set it up on my desk.

I also would love a bigger carousel.  One that would hold 5 or more ponies and would also make them go up and down as well as around.  I'm imagining it with clip on saddles that attach to the poles so that you can switch the ponies around.

Isn't the castle that comes with Cadence & Shining Armor supposed to be Canterlot Castle?

Some sort of flutter pony set. They had those little wells and tiny houses in their area, and the sun worshipping place, so that could be cool.

As a student Library assistant I second this!

I'd love to see Twilight's library and a true Canterlot castle (I don't count Cadance and Shining Armor's castle as it's more of a shelf.). :)

I also always wanted a playground for the baby g1 ponies with a garden and a slide and swing set.  Maybe it would have space for the some of the newborn twin accessories (sandbox, seesaw.). Would also like to see a sweet/candy shop.

Yeah, a sea pony playset kinda like this vintage Gilligan's Island bath set I had as a kid.  It was tons of fun; lots to do!  I especially liked being able to take the boat UNDER the island.

Or something like those rare Euro (German?) store displays that rotated (carousel and Ferris wheel).

The Royal Paradise - A castle for the Princess Ponies
The Mushromp - with exclusive Moochick and Habbit
Flutter Valley - Or a few of the houses from it! I mean how cool would that have been!

Everybody's ideas are cooler than mine, but here goes,

A skatepark for the G4 scooter ponies; ramps so you can jump over your animal friends, a giant descending ramp into the half pipe, the box art would have Celestia doing a 900 in mid air with onlooking ponies, and a loop de loop just because. It all unfolds from an inevitably pink stickered up tour bus the ponies can ride in.

I imagine it would cost about $60 and have completely nothing to do with the show.

How about a G4 wave of the mane 6' houses/tree :D

I think Cloudsdale needs a playset.  AJ has her farm, Rarity has her boutique, Twilight Sparkle has a balloon, Pinkie Pie has a sweet shop (and a train, and a car, and a talking, walking abomination...), and Fluttershy has her nursery tree.  But what about Dashie?

I'd love to have Rainbow Dash's house as a playset~!!

I also wish that they'd released that G2 tower castle :c

I always thought a waterfall and pool would have been amazing for the sea ponies or a "giant flower" playset for wingers would have been very cute

i would like to add (like i dreamed once) a larger show stable like dwelling for the big bro's though there was only a hand full of them.
i would also like to have seen a wee cloud castle for the flutter's or a garden like playset for them

No, It was marketed as "Pony Princess Wedding Castle"

Sea Pony Pond

I would have liked a huge playset for the sea ponies that you could have actually put water in that would have had a water fall they could swim under and button to push to hear them sing....big enough to fit many sea ponies in it...like maybe 30 inches long at least...I am talking about a serious playset.  Also, a little section with a bubble maker under the water so you could make bubbles bubble up under your sea ponies.  A little section off to the side with plastic flowers and a tree so your ponies could come and talk with the sea ponies.

Also note: I didn't read everyone elses, but there is a chance someone else has this idea and if you do....Great minds thing alike my friend.

I have that playset! I think it was marketed as a hair-styling thing more than a playset, but that's what I thought of when someone said Breezies too.
I agree that the Mushromp should have been a playset. I would love to have a Moochik! And Cloudsdale, and Flutter Valley. Maybe I should make a Sunstone for my flutter ponies. They seem a little sad lately, I'll bet that's it!
I always like Porcina's glass house, even though I don't think it was made of glass- but that would be cool, anyway!

I was just thinking the other day, I'd like to see a FiM Day Spa set   :D  My ponies need pampering!

I like the skate/scooter park idea too ;)

And I second the notion of having a true castle playset, no more facade sets.

yes yes yes :D

when i was a kid i had a baby seapony and the waterfall and always wished it was big enough to have seaponies floating in it and be able to have adult size ponies bathing in it, i was a cool wee playset but you couldn't do much with it then just pump water through it and make bubbles.

above comment would be so awesome :) shoo be doo shoo shoo be doo

I would surely buy it.

I would also like a Canterlot castle, a decent one, not like the wedding castle that seems more like a display than a playset.
