I'm frustrated that it's NYCC weekend, because I'll have to have the train fare to get into the city twice that week (I'm upstate so it's pricey), but I think it's worth it!
Who else is going? I know we don't have a huge New York population on here...

It does seem curious they planned it for the same weekend as the NYC Comic Con

I wish they would do a special pony for NYCC since it is pretty much the biggest Con on the east coast and as big as SDCC. I mean Groove is doing a NYCC Pullip this year so why can't Hasbro make some exclusives to make up for the awful thing that happened with Ditzy.

Yay! I hope you have fun EvilMuffins :) If I remember rightly the Pony Project is also going to Tokyo - I am sure it was LA, NY and then Tokyo - ponies touring the world!

Is there an admission fee? If not I will totally go. Kind of disappointed they have men submitting designs for the ponies now though--loved it when it showcased lesser-known female artists instead. Oh well.

They confirmed only the 3 locations at the start - perhaps if its successful they will take it elsewhere.

I have been waiting for this announcement ever since the LA one, but I'm super disapointed its the same weekend as nycc. Maybe there was a good reason, but, if I am not mistaken, the hotel where the show will be is a good walk from the Javits center with no good connecting subway route. I was planning to come down for a whole day to see the show.
I'm confused on the site, it says it opens at 6 on Saturday but the store is open at noon? Does that mean its not open during the reception?

If I was staying overnight in NYC for NYCC all weekend, then yeah, I'd go to Pony Project. However, taking a train in and out of NJ Friday, Saturday, and Sunday. 45 min drive to the train station ( one that's closer to NYC on the Morris-Essex line, so I don't have to pay $30 round trip every day, just maybe $15 ), then the hour train ride in. I'd be BEYOND exhausted, especially since I'm planning on being in my border collie partial fursuit all weekend ( look for the purple and white border collie in jean capri's, that answers to the name of Pixistix! X3 ).
I'm still planning on hitting the pony meet ups at the convention, though! I need to hug me a Minty ( if she's going! Is the Minty One going this year? ).

She's been posting on her Twitter account. I should just send her a quick text and bug the ever luvin' daylights out of her. I THINK she was at Canterlot Gardens. I don't quite remember exactly which pony convention she and Disco were talking about going to back during AnimeNEXT 2012, but something makes me think it was CG.

I know Ponytails was going today, she asked if I wanted to go but sadly I had to work tonight and have to work on the other day she could go. One of these years. It is also pricey for me, train trip with subway runs around $45 to $50 round trip.

Actually, I went today instead of Monday like I had announced. I heard it was going to rain tomorrow so I forced myself to go out down there. I have taken pics of EVERY SINGLE DISPLAY, GUYS :) Enjoy!
