I was curious. I picked up a bunch from my walmart, instead of figuring out there which was which, I took them home and I relaized I have two full sets. One is un opened. I was going to return them all but I can't decide.
So the question is, are they hard to find?

I think most us walmarts have purple and blue.

I know all our local Walmarts are getting in tons of 'em here. ^.^ The blue is scarcer in these parts.

Not really, they're just in different stores, as far as I can tell. I've never seen purple bags in a Walmart, but I've seen them in Toys R Us.
To clarify, are you talking Wave 1, or Wave 3 (which is out right now)?

I've only seen blue bags in my wal-mart. I've yet to find any purple bags at all anywhere.

I have two Walmarts close by, I stopped at one and was able to get a full set of the Purple bag wave, then on the off chance the other would also have some I went and they had an entire Blue bag wave set. :D I was super excited

My walmarts have had the first magenta/pink/red bags, then blue bags (all crystal ponies), and just 2 hours ago I discovered they have the dark purple bags! (the one with Big Mac and Lyra!).

Never saw Wave 3, just 1 and 4. :/ Shame cause I want Lyra and a few others badly.

I've never seen the purple ones here. I preordered mine from one of the online retailers (ToyWiz or BBTS, can't remember).

I saw Wave 3 just once. I didn't have a list of the numbers with me so I only bought one.:(

If guys need specific purple bag ones I can go back some time and try to grab them. There were quite a few there tonight at least looked like the full set plus.

One of the Walmarts near me just got two cases of the purple bags finally so I'm super excited. Now if I could only get the blue bags now. >_<

Lyra Heartstrings
Noteworthy
Top Priority is Lyra, the rest are just "kind of wants".

Its such a random distribution isnt it? I almost wish for us all HB were spreading the waves out a little more...i.e. giving one wave at least 6 months on shelves before replacing with a new wave as it would in many ways increase everyone's chance of getting the ones they are interested in. Right now the problem is if they have one box of wave 3, once it sells out if the next wave at the DC or warehouse is wave 4 then the store will go straight to that wave [with the odd exception where wave stock is over looked]

I just went to a Walmart Yestersay and they had never had any Purple bags before when I went there but they had the blue ones before. Now they have no boxes but someone hung purple bags up and more were in a despencing box attached to the new Walmart displays that had at least 1 if not more than 1 wave of the purple blind bags inside. So I think it is random what will show up these days. I do agree with Hathorcat that they should spread out the wave a little more at least give 3 to 4 months minimum for each wave before sending out the next one. But it looks like we will be get 2 waves at a time. Wave 5 and 6 are up for pre-order which make me think they may come out around the same time but this is only a guess.

I think it may depend on where you live. I've lost count how many times I've seen a Wave 4 (blue) blind bag box, but didn't start seeing the Wave 3s in my area until two nights ago. And I go to Walmart at least every couple of days, and TRU/Target at least once or twice a week.
I wouldn't say they are extremely rare, but not so easy to find compared to Wave 1s and Wave 4s. I do wish that they were distributed better. I agree on having each wave be out for a couple of months before moving to the next one.
Because of this, I am now tempted to pre-order one of the new boxes to save me the hassle. ^^;

up this way the blue/wave4 is the hard ones to find..totaly hit n miss as to what stores get them in..and just cause they "had" it in doesnt mean the next box in will still be it...ive been chasing it around for a while now after turning down a full just opened wave 4 in BC as i didnt feel like paying 5$ a bag for them(walmart)....ive managed to source half a box so far at a portland walmart.....most stores that sell them have wave3/purple

I found the purple bags ONCE. They haven't shown up in months and I wish I had more money when I found them the first time :yikes:
I also never found the blue bags. Get your stuff together Walmart.

I saw them in TRU first and now I saw them at walmart and they had TONS! And the blue bags too. So I think they are still coming in then? I got 11 of the 12 I wanted (because the numbers were messed up on some bags).

My store still only has wave 1..... i'm all...i thought there'd be more.... wants more blind bags XD but we have the set blind bag ones like the royal wedding canterlot or whatever its called

For me they were hard to find for a while. All my Wal-Marts still have the blue ones. My TRU finally got a whole boatload of purple ones in finally.

My WalMart now has TONS of the purple ones! I went today, and they had the kiosk thing filled pretty full, as well as a blue Wave 4 box on the shelf filled with them. No more Wave 4s, though, only found them there actually in stock once.
My Target and Toys R Us still only have Wave 1.
I also have an extra Noteworthy now. Bag is opened, but comes with his card. Drop me a PM if you need him!

Yeah Target is just beginning the blind bags, so it's understandable. I mean...my Target only has wave 1 now XD

I have a Target, TRU, and two Walmarts and only one of the Walmarts has ever had anything but the first wave. I found the purple ones and later the blue ones at that one Walmart.

At least your Target has blind bags. Mine has yet to get them, unless someone's been buying them up before I see them there. xD

I just saw some of these at TRU today, I didn't have a number guide with me though, so I didn't get them, and I spent $60 other on the favorites set, Zecora, and White Celestia. >.>

Actually here we have tons of the blue bags (wave 4) but no more purple (wave 3). I've started thinking that we won't get the purple bags any more. I still needed a cherry berry so let me know if you decide to sell them. :D
