Hi guys! I just wanted to show off some things I've been working on lately! First, I made a couple paintings of some G1 favorites:

Also, some of you may remember the miniature ponies I've made in the past. Well, I've been meaning for a long time to figure out a way to make them durable enough for jewelry, and I think I've done it!

OMG the earrings! O___O Seriously impressive work in that scale, they look like perfect mini copies of the Sugarberry pose. And I love that they have real hair!
...I almost find myself wishing I had my ears pierced, just so that I could commission you to make me a pair. :lookround:

I love the paintings, too. Minty's body colour looks lovely! I wish I could afford to buy Gusty, especially since she's the NSS version which is my favourite, but I don't have any extra to spend right now... or anytime soon. :/

I love the art, your style is beautiful :lovey: I'm IN LOVE with the earrings! They're possibly the cutest things I have ever seen! I wish I had some money for them! You're so very talented :D Did you make them out of clay? How on earth did you put real hair in them??

Thanks, guys!  :lovey: Just thought I'd add that I can make mini pony pendants, too - they're cheaper and don't require pierced ears!

starrypawz - the lines are in the same paint used for the body, except with slightly less water. Oh, and it was a very small paintbrush!

Shenanigans - yup, these are made out of sculpey, semi-molded from my "master sculpt" which was air-dry clay. The hair is actually embroidery floss, but it takes quite a bit of work to transform it into something that resembles hair! It's glued into little grooves/holes.

Oh my gosh, I need earrings like that!!  :blink:  :squee:  They are so detailed and well-proportioned, I am thoroughly impressed at how accurate they are at such a small scale!  I adore your watercolors, if you're still open for commissions when I get my first paycheck at my new job (first paycheck since April, AW YEAH!) then I am going to be sending you a PM.

Do you think that a mini winger would be possible?

ZennaBug - I will very likely still be open for commissions, so feel free to send me a PM whenever! I haven't yet done baby-sized minis (except for a baby sea pony, but that was easy - no legs!), but I can certainly give it a shot. Which winger pose do you have in mind? I want to start some experiments to see if I can sculpt that small!

Your paintings are also lovely! Huge respect for painting with watercolors (I seriously suck at that xD)

I always have to request the same winger everywhere... Little Flitter!  :)  She's my favorite pony.  I'm sure she'd be tough with the wings, even if you made the rest of her body the size of your other minis.

Everything is so lovely but the earrings are super duper impressive!  You said you do necklaces too?  I did just get some birthday money.... Picking just one pony though?  This is difficult...

I'm going to see if I can do it! There's no pressure to make this a commission, I just want to challenge myself - I have a lofty dream of making the entire US G1 line in miniature and creating a tiny pony room diorama, so eventually I'll have to tackle every pose!

I'm a trained illustrator, but I haven't been working as one professionally. I've been seriously considering getting into the field, though!

Wow! The earrings are amazing! I'll have to get a Sundance necklace from you when I can, maybe a few non-jewelry ones too since they look like the perfect size for dolls! For sea ponies, are the floats removable? :)

Omg those earrings are adorable! I'd love to have a single one (asymmetrically pierced ears lol) but I wouldn't know which pony to get :P

My gender is the biggest reason of why i'm scared of being judged since earrings are mostly only worn by females.

Oh my gosh, these are all great! It's a shame I don't wear earrings, those would be so cute. And I LOVE those paintings. That's a way I'm not used to seeing Minty and I really like it.

The ponies are roughly 1:6 scale, so they're the perfect size for Barbie-sized dolls! And yes, the floats are removable - I have a thing about miniatures where I like everything to be as functional as possible, so I hate to glue things down!  :P

Aw, I'm sorry you're nervous to wear earrings! I'm all for bucking gender norms, but I understand that sometimes it's too scary, or even dangerous depending on where you live. :( Anyway, they're pretty lightweight since they're so small. I sculpt them by hand and then make a mold so I can easily make more in the same pose. Unfortunately even the casts require quite a bit of sculpting, as my molds are simple 2-part ones. The ponies' legs come out fused together!  >_<
