Filled it out right after discovering it. Printed the e-mail they sent me out and mailed my letter this morning. Hope it gets there quick and I get a card. Good luck to everyone that is trying.

I filled out the survey and got the email and everything. It's ready to go out first thing Monday morning. I hope I get one because Fluttershy's my fave of the main six, so it's the one I'd want most. And since I can't afford to go to any of the conventions or to pay for one of those promo cards, this will likely be the only one I get, if I do in fact get it.

if you read the email, it has to be postmarked by the 22. that is a week from now, they do not care how long it takes to get there ,just that it is postmarked by the 22. they have a limited supply but if they send you an email to print out, then you should get a card.

So if doing this from outside the US what stamps do you put on to send it and what stamps do you put on the returning envelope? Will USPS send something with an English stamp on (the self addressed one)? Can anyone answer please, I'm not familiar with sending stuff outside of the UK.

the only way to know for sure would be to contact the postal service and ask.
the uk stamps would get it there, but you would have to check and see if the post office would honor them to send it back.

Filled it out yesterday but when I went to print the email the printer printed everything but. No Fluttershy card for me it looks like.

The offer I think is for US only unfortunately. In order to send a return envelope you would need to send one with US postage on it, UK stamps and UK postage will not work in the US system. I would suggest you get in touch with them directly to see if there is a way for you to apply.

The system for emails appears to be automated and with so many people applying whether every person who gets an email gets a card I wouldnt be certain unfortunately. The condition of "when stocks last" is always good enough to get a company out of anything. :(

I attempted to put my letter in the mail yesterday. Not sure if it was successful as I put it in the mail slot at the post office at 4:04 and the pickup time is 4:00, heh. Hopefully they were running a bit late ^^;

I stuck a card protector in my return envelope and added an extra stamp to cover the weight. If I'm lucky enough to get a card hopefully they'll use it, heh heh.

Did anyone else get a follow up email concerning their answers to the survey or am I just special?
Several of my answers did follow the same sort of theme of "Why aren't these available in my country?"... and I got an answer.  :P

Thank you for filling out our survey!  We did not expect such a large response outside US, and we are working out the logistics for a fulfillment plan in your territory.  Please be patient as we work through this.  It should only take us another day or two to find out what options we have and hopefully a solution.
 
In the meanwhile, do you want your local retailer to sell our trading cards?  If so, call them up and ask if they have any, then tell them you would love it if they brought it in.  (They are not going to think of it on their own!)
 
Our distributor in your region is Banter Toys/Croftminster out of Lynbrook, VIC.  We are hoping to have product arrive in your territory in November, but retailers do not know that yet…

I was coming back to correct my earlier comment as I had heard about a similar email to that above :) And that EnterPlay have changed their offer to perhaps ensure the card was available outside the US.

I think that sounds a little like they are aiming to have enough to fulfil demand - so perhaps more people than we initially expected will get the card! Yay.

Anyone receive theirs yet?  I haven't, but Equestria Daily is running a contest, and the prize reads as follows:

"And for the best of the best, we have some much deserved Fluttershy Promo cards (The ones that are still up on ebay for crazy amounts) up for grabs.  The top three largest/most creative collections will each receive one!"

It was posted a few days ago, on Wednesday, so perhaps the staff have already gotten theirs?  Hopefully Enterplay didn't run out!  I mailed my form off the day after the survey was announced!

I did the same thing, but according to tracking, they've had my return envelope for at least a week and a half. Return mail shouldn't take that long, and nobody else seems to have gotten replies back, which means apparently they're waiting for something. No idea what. "Requests must be postmarked by September 22, 2012." so the deadline for having them mailed out passed last Saturday.

These types of things don't usually ship right away--like how purchasing mail order ponies used to take 2-3 months (at least with G1--I never did it with G3 so I don't know about that turn around time). In any case, I won't be surprised if the cards don't ship for a month or two.

I am with Ren Ren - most mail order items have a 2 to 3 month return window simply to allow for the time management at the other end. In addition they did say these would be limited so unfortunately not every envelope is going to come back...although I hope there are lots of people manage to get them.

Thanks, and I hope everyone else start getting theirs. I know what you mean ShortyBoo, this cards and the few I think will be in store in special  tins or collectors boxes are the only cards I will be getting. It is not easy to go to all the convetions that the promo cards are being handed out.

They are. Enterplay says they're going to release all the promo cards in multiple venues (except Bronycon Rarity). Fluttershy is marked as being released in the Everfree NW event and the free online survey.

I've been seeing the fluttershy card pop up on ebay. I took a bid at one ;)

To be fair, I only did the survey for the card for trade fodder as I don't collect the cards hardcore.

Did it say somewhere that they're done sending them out? Just because a few people got theirs doesn't mean there's no more being mailed out. I am still waiting and holding out hope for mine! ^^

But I agree, I don't think anyone would trade an exclusive SDCC figure for a card that isn't even an exclusive anymore and is being given away in a free survey, unfortunately.

I did read in another thread that Enterplay was weeding out all the people who didn't follow the rules or mailed in more than one envelope to try to get extra freebies, so that's some good news that those of us who did it right will get one! ^_^

Luckily my sibs aren't TOTALLY enamored of the cards, but I'd still feel really bad for all of the intended fans (i.e. kids) not being able to get a card just because their big sibling sent in their survey first. :( I understand wanting to weed out the obvious cheaters (no one has thirty siblings ;)), but it seems like they should understand that their target demographic tends to have siblings around the same age! And probably have the same address, being, well, kids!

No card so far on my end, we'll keep up hope! ;)

It should arrive in the self-addressed, stamped envelope you were supposed to provide for them to send it in... If you didn't send one I'm afraid you might not be getting a card, unfortunately.

Mine came today! ^_^ I'm excited! It's cuter in person than the scans I've seen on this forum. (I sent mine out the Monday after this thread went up, for people wondering.)

@Bread: I'm sorry you're going to miss out. :( A 'self-addressed stamped envelope' is an extra envelope you put inside the envelope you're mailing. You put a stamp on it and write your own address on the front so the person who receives your letter can just stick something in it and send it back to you, at no cost to them. It's a fairly common practice for free events like this.

I'm going to guess the value for this card is going to drop sharply, but it won't go down to the level of a common card or anything like that. It will still probably be more valuable than a gold card.

The value might go up if you wait a while after this promotion ends... but then again, Enterplay might decide to hand some more Fluttershy cards out at another event, so you never know. :\ It seems like they're reusing these 'promo' cards for multiple events, according to the information they've released so far. Only the Rarity card at the Bronycon event hasn't been announced to be released in another location yet.

If you plan to sell your card, I would do so immediately and not wait to see if the value increases. As a person who used to collect trading cards back in the 80's and 90's, I can tell you with 99% certainty that if you wait too many years, these cards won't be worth anything. Trading cards aren't the type of thing that appreciate in value (with a very few rare exceptions). Trust me, I spent hundreds of dollars in the '80's and '90's and my card collections aren't worth anything now, except to me for sentimental reasons. :P

I got my card today.  My envelope must have sealed before they could put the card in, because it had been glued and opened and when I got it, it was wide open.  Luckily, the card was in there safe and sound.  I did the survey on the last day it was up, FYI.

EqD made a new post about the cards, with good news for those who forgot to send a SASE for the fluttershy card.
Apparently, a lot of people forgot to send SASEs, so Enterplay is re-sending emails to those who made the mistake.

That means I might actually get a card!  :biggrin:
I'm so happy after being sad for the past day after realizing I didn't send a SASE!  :P

Unfortunately for sellers, though, this also means that the price on the cards will probably continue to drop.
(On the other hand, good news for buyers!)

I guess you could send another SASE with the email printed out, and a note explaining it. Might be false hope though, but you never know. If nothing else, I've noticed the card has dropped in price significantly on eBay. Not as good as free though, I know. :/

I got mine in the mail around the same time a lot of other people reported earlier, but... I wasn't one of the lucky ones. It came bent from top to bottom of the card in landscape position. I don't really have any experience in flattening paper media other than posters with mild warping, which usually just involves stacking enough weight on them for a while. I did try something a little different by taking the card and placing it on the sink in my bathroom while taking a shower to allow some of the humidity to affect the card without having to directly apply water to it. ~ And then plopping it under weight again. I haven't checked it in a few days, but after the first time I did it, it seemed to have reduced the appearance of the bend, but of course not completely.

I'm really just banking on reducing the appearance of the damage as much as possible, but I'm not sure if it really can be fixed completely. I'll keep trying/waiting though. :( If anyone has some advice on trading card repair or something to try, I'm open to suggestions for sure...

Debating on buying a fresh one off eBay, or just have this one story/battlescar in my collection. It's a story piece at least I guess.

Besides, I need that extra money to get the holy grail of promo cards right now. That darn Rainbow Dash promo is elusive and expensive I tell ya. If anything that will be the only hole in my set!  :P

I mailed my printed-out e-mail and self-addressed stamped envelope very quickly, but I didn't get a card (a friend who sent his after I did got one, though).  I sent Enterplay an e-mail asking why, but I never received a response.

It's disappointing, and I didn't receive an explanation for it either.  Oh well.

If you forgot the self-adressed envelope the first time, you should still be able to get the card if you follow the directions on the second chance e-mail ( that's how I got my card :biggrin: )
