Okay, the Derby is done, so I need a non-Derby poll for awhile. It's been awhile since we've had an off-topic poll, even.
Up here in Alberta, summer will be coming to an end soon. It's already getting cooler and the leaves are turning yellow on some of the trees. No, I don't look forward to it, and wish I could go down to the southern hemisphere and watch it turn spring. :biggrin:

I really wish it could stay summer forever. Well....actually, I'd be happy if we just has summer and fall as our only two seasons. I love summer because I enjoy sitting outside on our porch or going swimming in the pool. Summer is when I get to see a lot of family that I normally never see because we are the only ones who have a big pool, haha!
But I love fall too. The foliage is gorgeous and the weather is perfect. Never hot, but never too obnoxiously cold.

I look forward to cooler weather where I can function outdoors, however, I'm terrified of driving in the snow so I don't look forward to winter.

I do like autumn, but I'd prefer if it stayed summer. This one slipped away so fast this year, and I never really accomplished much. I want a summer do-over!

I can't wait for autumn to come. It's my favorite time of the year :) With the cozy weather all dark and rainy, the beautiful colours of the trees, and of course halloween :D
I never been much for the summer. Too hot, and bright and bleh. Not my thing at all so I just can't wait at the moment to enter into autumn :)

Here in the UK we don't do seasons - it's either wet, cold and wet, or bleddy freezing :lmao: . I do NOT like cold weather - it makes my health issues hurt even more than they do normally, I have difficulty getting out when it's icy, and I just do not like.

I want the fall season to start badly. Summer is the only season I dislike with a passion here in Texas. Its wayyyy to hot, its miserable to be outside, you can't walk your dog until after dark...its just better in the Fall and Winter.

The autumn is my FAVORITE season, so I definitely look forward to this time of year!! :D

Aside from the rubbish weather we've had this "summer", it's been pretty stressful for me work wise with a lot of staff holidays, busy one minute quiet the next etc. Come September, there are no holidays (exceptions are hard won!) and we get busier so you can relax into a rhythm.
Plus, autumn means PonyCon! :biggrin:

Here where I live we have only two seasons: Rainy and Less rainy. So, yeah; I don't mind the season change too much =P

Oh, definitely looking forward to anything but summer. We've had such a heat wave here in Québec, it'll be a relief to stop sweating for a while... :hot: Plus, the change of seasons is so beautiful, love those fall colours! And winter is great fun, my DS and I have plans for a snow fort to end all snow forts, muahahahaha! :snow:

I love the summer! It's been 80-90 degrees since about April and I love it. Yesterday was 90, and the rest of the week is upper 80's so I hope that means it will stay nice and hot for a good long while!

we dont really get winter I have to go to high country to see snow...its hot and ac will be on for awhile here but a cool down will be welcomed

Autumn is the best season! :inlove: And Halloween is my favorite! Time for apple cider and falling leaves, the smell of wood-burning stoves and best of all, the sweet silence of my kids at school!! Also, my cats vote for autumn and my kids at school. ;)

The only thing that makes me not so sad about summer coming to an end is the fact that fall is next. Since it isn't terribly cold yet and all the leaves are beautiful (and HALLOWEEN!) it lessens the impact a little bit.
This summer went by way too fast. I barely got to do anything.

I am sad that summer is coming to an end. I hate when it's really hot and nasty, but when it's not so bad, I like the warmth. And the long days!
However I love Autumn a lot, too, and Halloween is probably my favorite holiday. I am looking forward to haunted trails and corn mazes! :heart:

Autumn is my favorite season, then winter. I love everything about the season of harvest. I wished I was born in October because it is my favorite month.

I'm with you hear~ Texas has been awful this year. Also I only moved down hear from the north last year and still don't have a decent summer wardrobe built up, I can't wait to don all my adorable cold weather gear, Fluffy Knit scarves and hats, earmuffs and adorable fuzzy boots~ I can't wait!

I can't wait for autumn! I'm keeping my fingers crossed that we'll actually get some decent rain finally to pull us out of this drought - maybe get some grass growing so there can be one more cutting of hay before winter. Wishful thinking, I know, but it's been absolutely brutal where I live. That said, there have been two overcast days this month that just looking out the window at the sky and then seeing the brown grass and plants everywhere, my mind tricked itself into thinking it was fall, and I got so excited to pull out my Halloween decor before I had to tell myself "It's still August, you ding-dong!" What I'm super excited for is winter, but I'm fine going through autumn to get to it :) (I'm from Wisconsin and spent three years recently in Florida - it was SO depressing not getting to see seasons!)

Spring is my favorite season for weather, but Fall has Halloween, Thanksgiving and my birthday. Plus I love watching the leaves turn, they're so beautiful. Summer was nice, but I'm ready for Autumn.

I will be glad to be able to NOT go outside in 100+ temperatures, but I don't like that it gets chilly and windy as we move into autumn. :( So no... *clings to summer*

There's still a part of me that likes fall. Before I moved out of Arizona and into Canada (winter year round, eh?), I loved when it got cooler. The heat in Yuma was brutal! :hot: I liked the autumn holidays too. If I didn't have Seasonal Affective Disorder, I'd still love fall. But now it just brings anxiety.
However! I'm with you who said that you hope we get a better winter this year. My kids and I only got to go sledding once last winter, and the rest of the time, there was hardly any snow on the ground. It was weird and we felt gypped. Sledding is loads of fun.

I'm always ready for fall, and my autumn and Halloween-related ponies can't wait to be put on display in the living room! (I always display around 10 ponies related to the season, rotating them occasionally so more of them get some attention)

I love autumn and winter! I hate spring and summer. Spring I wouldn't mind so much except that everything starts blooming and I have terrible sinus problems :P And summer is too hot to function outdoors. We never really have extremely cold winters anyway. A lot of times I'll wear shorts on Christmas day :P

I'm in Michigan. Kids were riding the bikes they got for Christmas last year lol

I live near the equator. We only have "crazy monsoon and flood season" and "crazy hot and hazy season".

This! I totally agree!we didnt even have summer this year in the UK.. so i think its sooo not fair for it to be autumn already! *pouts* I hate Autumn and winter :yikes: :cold: :yikes: . I neeed sun I neeed warmth! how about you and me take a vacation and escape the cold? :flirty: :P

I usually love winter, since I get to snowboard. But since I'm out for the season and won't even be able to sled, I'm not looking forward to it. *sigh* Snow is only fun when you get a chance to play in it!

Someone mentioned to me that they said the weather folks predict hot weather for our area into October. So I can believe getting fall in January.

Imma getting me some Spring time and I am loving it XD.
The weather here changed practically overnight. One day it was raining and horrid and then the next the sun came out and I now have my window open and I'm *not* rugged up to the nines.
I'm super happy about this. It's been a long, cold winter and I think I may be at least partly solar powered :lol:

I may be crazy, but I live in the Northwest and I much prefer the fall and winter. I LIKE the rain. Except the freak ice storms we had last winter freaked me out and broke part of my roof. Buuuutt... in general I prefer it chilly. And Halloween is my favoritest holiday ever! I can't believe I missed the Halloween Arena Swap this year.

Yes, yes, yes!!! I can't wait for summer. My horse paddocks are finally starting to harden up so I don't have to wade through mud every day to get my girl out. Tonight it was still light enough after work to give her a quick lunge too :frolic:
