Title: Need help on refurbing pony's
Post by: 4Lindy on August 24, 2012, 06:24:55 AM
Hi Pony's!  I have two baby pony unicorns with horns that have had the tips chomped off, I know sculpting is an option but is there any way to cleanly remove the horn altogether?  Or will I end up with a hole if I try to get the horn off altogether?  Thanks for any suggestions!!!

Yes the horns are hollow so you'll end up with a hole if you slice them off. Is it possible to trim the tips so that the horns will look nice and whole, only shorter? Another option that doesn't require sculpting would be to remove the horns and fill the holes with gemstones or something like that.

I don't have pics, but in the past I've cut the horn off and then used it as a bit of a plug by flipping it over and putting it inside the head!  I'm not sure which mold it would work on and there is still a crack slightly visible.   Once I get the horn glued in upside down, I sand everything smooth.  It's not pefect, but its maybe one option.
