If they were meant to be released wouldn't they've been by now? The wedding castle and wedding singles have already been released and a new series is out (crystal empire).

I haven't seen those, but this post instantly made me think of the CMC Flower Fillies which have been released. At least I've seen them around in several stores here :)

I honestly don't think they evolved into the CMC.
If you look at the New York Toy Fair 2012 pics, there are 2 sets of flower fillies. The CMC are also pictured. I for one still hold out hope of the second set of unnamed fillies.

We haven't even seen the CMC in my area yet so I'm also holding out hope that both sets will pop up.

I'll just assume they're prototype only unless I see inbox pictures of them. Just like Minty, an unknown yellow unicorn filly Sweetie Swirl, they will be doomed to be in limbo forever.

They're cute, but what's with all three of them being unicorns? At least the CMC are different kinds of ponies.
Who knows? Maybe this set will be released, but I doubt it. The accessories are almost identical to the accessories on the CMC, so it seems like the CMC replaced these three.

Everything else at the toy fair was a finished product. Nothing was prototype quality--even the Collector's Set has been released exactly as they showed it. I'm doubtful that Hasbro was sure of everything they put on display except those particular fillies.

Urg! I am not good at waiting for this set either. Besides Shining Armor and Cadence, this was actually the set that I was most looking forward to. There is still more of the year to go though. Maybe they will sell these when they run out of the CMC ones.

I haven't seen the CMC set yet, but if I were to get them it would be for their cute outfits!
I also wonder if there's interest for buying the outfits by themselves? There's many people who got the CMC from the school pals set with Cheerilee so I'm sure there's people who don't want doubles of the fillies lol.

Although I hate to say it, I think people are right that they were prototypes. It's a shame if that's true because we need more fillies. :cloud:

YES I wouldn't be surprised at all to see the Wedding Castle re-released later on in the year with these fillies added as 'bonus ponies'! Hasbro has done that before....

Honestly I think Hasbro are abit afraid of releasing anything that isn't related to the show. Afraid that it might not sell as well.
Hence why we probably got the cutiemark crusaders as flower fillies instead of these.

Well as far as I can tell, all the ones in the picture Sandi posted are unicorns. The CMC's are a unicorn, a pegasus and an earth pony. Looks like the colours are abit different too.

*looks again* Oh geez you're right! I guess I saw yellow and went," Apple Bloom and her friends!" Oh how I do love baby unicorns... it would be nice to have them released. I guess Hasbro was just showing off the different colors that were possible for the babies!

after you said this i looked closely at them and i thought they do appear to have wings under their skirts

I presume that they will be part of a different set. As teresat says, they were on display at the NY Toy Fair along with the CMC set. It's unlikely that they're a prototype of the CMC.

Maybe a Black Friday combo with the castle? Like Royal Beauty, Crowning Glory, and Pretty Palace were in G3 for the Crystal Rainbow Castle?

I think this has just convinced me to hold off on buying the castle for now in the hope that this will happen.

Yes, I am with Dragonflitter on this one [and I will pm you back about Star Dreams sorry!]. I am not 100% convinced but I am still siding on the positive that they may yet appear.
Everything else on display at NY has made it to retail - the toy fair is serious - everything on that table is a production product even if when it hits shelves it may be a little "different" in appearance and finish. It needs to be this way as they are selling their goods to clients. The only reason something wouldnt proceed from this point would be if it was in a later wave and earlier waves simply didnt sell - so this would be saying that the CMC School Pals and Royal Castle Set were not worthwhile sellers - I am fairly certain the School Pals set seemed to do well.
The second to last pony pack we had included the Royal Castle Friends [Celestia, Spike and TS] along with the School Pals - the Royal Castle set was then re-released along with the Flower Fillies in the last pony pack wave. Another pony pack set will be forthcoming and I wouldnt be surprised if it includes these girls or some connotation of these ladies. After all we are only a month into the new toy year - only a month into the time frame that the products on display at the Toy Fair are hitting shelves - we have another 9 months of toy display and toy release yet to come :)
