I put it here as it's not a pony related thing but one of my major passions!
I always wanted a telescope to look at the space, the moon, the stars and about two years ago I bought one with my modest earnings...sadly it revelead a scam as the telescope was really poopy :huh: couldn't even see the craters on the moon and after few months later the rack broke down and the whole thing went down and broke once and for all :cry:
So, since they are expensive and I was really sad and disappointed I haven't bought a new one but it was one of my most big wishes to have one...
Yesterday it was my birthday and normally my partner doesn't know what to gift me so ends always with a nothing, in 7 years I am used to this so LOL I don't care about anymore but yesterday a magic worked!
He came home all happy and smiling " I found something for you". While moving to my family home I saw a big big package on the car all wrapped with LOL papers from our office with the projects my boyfriend draws so he told me "sorry, I know it's horrible to look at it in this shape, but hadn't the paper"
I couldn't touch neither look at the package and neither ask for infos LOL Major surprise!
So, after dinner he let me take that big thing, it was hmm heavy!
When I removed all the LOL projects, I saw the box...OMG OMG OMG!!!!!
This morning I mounted it:

It is a starter one, enough good to watch the first things, can even see the planets for what I understood! And it is even powered, mine was manual! Can't wait the night to try it properly!!!!
This is the best present I have ever received from him!!!! OMG, so happy!!!!

Oh, that's excellent! I remember looking through my father's telescope when I was little and being amazed at the cool details you could see. Congratulations!

I love astronomy and have a telescope too. Yours looks like a reflector, which are great for planetary detail.
