Finally she is finished! :frolic: She took so much time because I had to wait for two different shipments of hair >_< But she is finally done ;D This is my second custom and I think she turned out nicely :> I just wish I knew what to do with her hair... lol
I apologize for the not-so-great pictures. I would take them outside but it's raining ;[

I plan to make a series with this gal with all of the seasons ;D I love owls so this gal was a must! :heart: I cannot even express how much pain her eyes caused me since it was my first time. lol :P I don't know if it's visible in the pictures but the feathers on her forehead "fade" so to speak :>

She is adorable and it is a shame that the pictures came out so clearly. In the one clear one, it is easy to see that there is a of talent being hidden by the blur. Great work!

Love the owl- big owl fan here too! :) The color scheme works really well together. Really like the delicate marks near the eye too- lots of little details that are standouts actually!
looks like your camera has some difficulties with macro pictures- do you know if it has a specific macro setting? (It did a lot better with natural light from the looks of it at any rate, so that might just be the best way for you to work with it :) ) Cameras are tricksy things some times!

DiamondDreams: Oh gosh I have no idea. My camera is a dinosaur. It's ollllld :[ It's a Canon PowerShot A610 I think? I've tried every one of it's settings inside and they all come out blurry no matter what D; It's so frustrating. But then again I am no camera expert by any means. lol A new camera is really high on my want list, believe me! I'll replace these icky blurry ones with some outside pictures when the weather clears up :]

ah- been there with ya in the camera on the wish list category before.... once I started school in graphic design I had a good reason for an upgrade so we took the plunge and good a decent digital SLR- now my husband uses it more than me, rofl. With one of my old cameras I would take customs outside and balance them on patches of ice to get better photos, so yeah, sometimes the dinosaurs make you do crazy stuff for decent shots ;)

Does it have a symbol that looks like a tulip? My really old digi that I think was bought in like 2003 had a macro setting, it wasn't fantastic but it worked.

Omg, she is darling! :heart: I'm a big owl fan too, and autumn is my favorite season, so owls + autumn = win! She's just so so pretty too - I looooove the ombré feathers on her forehead, and her eyes are so pretty :3 The symbol is so adorable, I love the scattered leaves. Seeing this girl representing all seasons....that would be so fun! I can't wait to see the whole set ^^ Excellent job, she's gorgeous!

Have you considered, with the hair, varying the style according to season? Like, for fall, a really loose tumble of big curls, and for winter, just sleek and very straight, tight ringlets in spring, etc.? (Just for examples, not telling you that'd be the best thing to do.) That would also be potentially neato!
(Okay, I kinda lied. I do think she'd look so very lovely with super-big, super-loose curls. I just have nooooo idea how people get that look! I also like the straight hair for her, though. It's elegant and understated.)
I really love her. She's VERY cute, and I just want to pet her!

I love the idea of some loose curls or something on her :3 I really nned to learn how to style. Haha Hair styling is not my forte x'D I can barely do my own! Haha :P And winter would be super pretty with straight hair ;D I can't wait to get started on the other seasons! I will certainly be posting them together in a group shot ;D

I literally cannot do my own. I can do nothing with it. I do not understand hair. OR hair styling. At all. I can make a ponytail, and I can braid, just not braid my own hair. So pony hair styling has been like going to an alien planet where people actually DO these things, and I am having to learn their outlandish native customs. It's been . . . interesting. I still have not figured out loose curls.
I am glad I didn't offend throwing ideas out there, and I am DYING to see the group shot already. They are going to be cute as buttons!

I love how her cutie mark is so simple but it's still really pretty, and definitely adorable! Can't wait to see the other 3 seasons once you finish them - I'm sure they do will be stunning :)

Oh my gosh, I only just noticed the feathers on her head! I'd kick myself for no noticing, but I was so delighted by her that I missed you mentioning it, and I was distracted looking at the owl and at her hair!
And her eyes are amazing. So sharp but very gentle.
